Very well. Rotted supports were replaced with new support posts and they were cemented to provided extra strength and longevity. Extra care was provided to make sure the cover was attached to the house structure. Finished off nicely.

It was a very bad experience. We hired Jo in mid June to remodel our bathroom. The demolition went fine. After that, the small things he did get finished were done carelessly. The shower walls he purchased are very thin and flimsy. Floor tiles are uneven. Plumbing left exposed and hole in the wall wide open. After 3 months, he came and installed shower insulation but did not drywall the walls. He left the new medicine cabinet with a large gap between the cabinet and the wall. There were numerous other problems. We tried calling and text messaging but got no response. He left the job unfinished. We paid him ahead of time unfortunately. We ended up hiring a new contractor after waiting for Jo for almost 5 months to complete the job which he never did.

GHR completely redid our patio structure in cedar and cemented our balcony floor, breathing new life in our old and decrepit outdoor living areas. Jose was always communicative and worked long, hard hours to get our project done on time. He also always cleaned up the site before leaving for the day, which was very appreciated. We are happy with the look of our project and hopefully the durability for years to come.

Jose was fantastic! He was delayed on the original time we planned but he called 24 hours ahead to reschedule. All of his communication was prompt and he explained what he was doing and why. The repair was done quickly and he used the supplies left from the original installation. He cleaned up everything and was so professional! I would definitely use him again!!!

It went very well. The construction team understood exactly what we were looking for and delivered exactly what we wanted. They stayed very close to the initial cost estimation. I am very satisfied with the work they did for me.

1) Took three weeks for the job because he took on other work. Work quality was otherwise ok. 2) Gave me written quotes for the work and later started complaining about how cheap I was for hiring him to do the work for that price. Very unprofessional. 3) Left the work incomplete - I have to hire another contractor to complete the job. Gave me a quote for painting windows on top of the roof - later refused to paint them unless I paid 384/- more for him to rent a lift to get there. 4) Misused my trust - I paid him the full amount before leaving on vacation on quote # 1 - and for materials - but he did not complete the final touch-ups and left the awnings looking horrible. 5) Paid him $450 of $600 on quote #2 to finish garage door. He now claims $150 is too little of a balance for him to come finish the staining. 6) Left the site littered and refused to come clean it up He will make you feel like it is your mistake. Quotes a cheap price. But you are guaranteed headaches. Waiting for his nasty reply - as you can see on other reviews he gets pretty bitchy.

The two guys were great. They took great care to ensure that the mirror and photo were centered perfectly. You can't see where the movers gouged a hole in the wall. Overall, these two men were very punctual, professional, and I would definitely hire again for repairs.

It took a few trips due to limited supplies but he completed the roof repair quickly and matched the ceiling texture and color to perfection. If I did not know where to look for the repair, it would be undetectable. I know that the work he did is correct and will cause me no problems going forward. He is pleasant, courteous, communicates easily and knows exactly what he is doing. It is a real pleasure working with him.

Dissapointed! The initial contact to setup an appointment for the work to be done went well, as we scheduled August 11th for the exact date of service. On the same day of the appt. Jose Santos, the owner, called to cancel the appt. explaining that he was having trouble with his truck and it was with the mechanic . I was understanding and so I checked my calendar and called him back to reschedule the service appointment for another date. Mr. Santos and I set August 22nd as the new appt at 12 noon. He even confirmed the date by using the word "Perfect ",on his reply text. The date of the appt came and 12 noon came and went and No Workers showed up and No Phone call or text was received from the provider. Finally about 12:25 I called Mr. Santos to check. He gave me No Clear or Reasonable explanation as to why he was Not present at my home to perform the service as Agreed, and only offered to come at 5 in the evening as an option. Of course that was Not acceptable after we had already arranged our day to accommodate for the 2nd time, and to have work going on in our house from 5 to 8 p.m. after hours. I did express my complete dissapointment with him with the way he just didn't show up and didn't at the very least give us a call. Unfortunately, I now have No confidence in Mr. Santos and the General Home Remodeling Co. Therefore I ended up requesting a refund from Angie's List. So dissapointing!

They brought us samples of some tile that would match our pre-existing tile and we picked out the color. They delivered the tile at no charge. Payment for work was half before, and half afterwards. Work was completed in one week, and that's over 520 sq feet of tile. They removed the old carpet, and had to change out the old seal on the bathroom toilet.

The outstanding professional! The job was done well. We had a few bumps due to the building plumbing that were frustrating. Mr Santos managed the "bumps" with patience & communicated very well. I was initially unhappy with some work of his assistant. He listened & returned to and personally redid the areas of concern. Kitchen cabinet crown molding is time consuming. I am glad he takes pride in his work because the finished work is excellent. Also he gave me a very good rate for the sev. days labor he provided. total of 4 days (9a-5p) of work. One day they stay were here for >9hrs. I will def. recommend & offered him more work. I will say that I can only recommend Mr Santos' work, not that of the assistant he had for this job. I am sure he will find better help but until then I asked that he personally do any further handyman work I may have in the future. thank you Angies list for the excellent & professional handyman referral!

I can not say enough wonderful things about Jose'! He was very professional to communicate with & was able to quickly give me a fair estimate over the phone (I had a kitchen base cabinet, counter, and sink with full plumbing installed). He arrived when he said he would, and didn't leave until the job was done! As I observed the job off and on throughout the day, I could see that not only is he a skilled trouble shooter, he also takes pride in his work. After years of hiring and firing various contractors, I'm grateful I've found one I can finally truly rely on. Jose' is your guy!
