Gentile Plumbing

Not Good at All. Did not install Valve. Keeps saying that Refund Check is in the mail (No Check). Very Difficult to communicate with as phone numbers are rerouted or not answered at all. Check is in the mail. Wife was able to communicate via Facebook. We had to get another plumber to install a valve. Licensed in NC & SC. Obviously working in SC.

John and his crew came out on a Friday after coming out for an initial visit to confirm the issues we were having. I needed to have a septic tank extractor pump replaced. In the difficult process or removing this pump, John also had to arrange to have our septic tank pumped out. The pump was difficult to install because of its location, and then right after they installed it, the bearings went out (faulty brand new pump). John called the supply house and made them stay open late so we would have functional plumbing over the weekend. They drove out, got another pump and then had to install the pump again. We also had them replace a downstairs toilet for us. Overall, they were punctual, polite and worked hard to make sure we were happy. We plan on having them come back out in install two other toilets.

I called at 10. The employees had packed days and might be able to work me in since it as an emergency later in the day. Since it was going to be so late the owner came over and was there by 11:30. He was polite, professional, and even though he was carrying on a conversation with me, he never slowed down and moved constantly. I'm not sure if he does it with everyone but I talked about normally fixing things myself but I didn't want to take a chance with this so he actually explained every step that he was doing and why he was doing it. 

The person who came for service was on time and performed the work . There were parts required which he had to get to complete the service . It was completed in a professional manner. I have used Gentile plumbing on previous occasions also hence would recommend them

Bought a house which had been vacant for an extended period.  County required Gas line inspection.  Inspection revealed several leaks in the gas line.  Removed old gas line and installed completely new line to all three outlets. Required several inspections by public works and Jim took care of scheduling, permits and everything. <br />  Water heater turned out to be rusted out too, so had it replaced also.   <br /> Jim and his crew were extremely professional and easy to work with.  He went out of his way to make sure we were happy with everything.  Always on time and followed up after each visit to make sure we were pleased. Even came in on a Saturday at no extra charge to install the new water heater.   <br /> We couldn't be happier.  A+ experience! <br />

Gentile Plumbing installed a hot water heater back in August and I thought I was having a problem with it due to low pressure on hot and cold. I called them on a Sunday and did not expect an answer and if they did to come out on a Sunday. The owner James Gentile answered and I gave him our address to look up our work order and when he came back on the phone he stated he would be out within the hour that they warranty all there work. He arrived within an hour and after close examination stated it was the PRV which is close to the hot water heater causing an issue. He stated it was overlooked and should have been looked at being it was so close to the hot water heater and changed it out for no charge and now all is great. That is a company that stands behind all work they do and hard to find now a days. Thank you Gentile Plumbing.. Highly recommend this Company to all

Fantastic work! Very professional and knowledgable. Installed a hot water heater in about 2 hours, and it worked perfectly within 45 minutes. It's hard to find this high quality professional care in Charlotte, look no further than Gentile Plumbing! He took extra care to work with our home warranty company, file all the paperwork, and save US a considerable amount of money. Now that's service and someone you can trust!

Our basement first flooded when we were out of the country, with my mother watching the kids.  Jim came out on a weekend to pump it out and open up the clogged floor drain.  It continued to clog and flood over the next few weeks and Jim came out several times to open up the drain, at no additional cost.  The 80 year old sewer needed to be replaced from the basement to the street and Jim and his crew got it done in a timely way.  We now need additional plumbing work done and will have Jim do that as well. <br />

<p> <br /> <br /></p> <p>I had been speaking with Jim who was extremely responsive and professional.  I left a voicemail for him letting him know what I needed and he called me back within 15 minutes.  We set a day and time during the initial call for the install.  Saturday morning I received a call that they would be there by 8:00 and John came right at 8:00.  John, was extremely courteous and very professional.  John removed the old dishwasher and cleaned the area.  Once the new dishwasher was installed, John made sure to let it run for a while to make sure there were no leaks.  John removed all the foam and plastic that came with the new dishwasher and left my kitchen in the same shape it was when he got there.   John finished in about 2 hours and was on his way to his next job.  This was such a great experience I am definitely using Gentile Pluming in the near future for other pluming needs that are coming up.  Thank you so much Jim and John for such a great experience.</p> <p> <br /> <br /></p> <br />

James was responsive, courteous, and professional AND helped us diagnose - free of charge on a follow-up call - an ammonia smell related to our sealed crawlspace completely unrelated to the plumbing.  He even referred us to a new termite / pest / company (whom we have chosen to take over service following our purchase of the home).  He also checked our entire crawlspace for leaks or other issues that might have been missed by our inspector and provided a wealth of information on AAV valves, pressure regulators and anything else I could throw at him.  Perhaps the best part - James (a very experienced plumber) is the owner AND... does the work HIMSELF with a colleague in tow.  Touch 2 O faucets (this is our third in 3 homes in 3 years) can be a bit finicky and this install was completed without a hitch.  If you want the same experienced professional that QUOTES the job to also be the one to COMPLETE it, pick Gentile Plumbing! <br />

Jim and his associate made two visits to my property.  The first included fixing a garbage disposal, turning on the water in the barn and providing an estimate to run new water lines to install a washing machine in the garage apartment.  This job included tying in the installed lines into my septic system.  We found Jim to be an honest man, evidenced by his candor demonstrated after conducting a simple reset and clear of the garbage disposal.  Since we just moved into the property, we are busy and did not know/research/diagnose the history of that disposal, and a man without integrity may have taken advantage of this opportunity to make a quick buck.  This is not the case with Gentile Plumbing.  He knows the value of providing fair, high quality service to his customers.  We concluded from this episode that he clearly is focused on building long term, mutually beneficial relationships, and that his business will continue to thrive and grow.  He understands that making a quick buck usually leads to losing customers when they inevitably discover that they were overcharged for unnecessary services. We appreciated this approach.  The second visit was to conduct the more complex and extensive retrofit for the washing machine.  Jim and his associate were on time, professional, courteous and respectful.  They completed the work in a timely and non-invasive manner (we had family visiting, and it did not throw off Gentile Plumbing in their focused manner in executing the job).    Jim also had to make a few adjustments as they proceeded with the job, but at no point did he try to re-cut the deal.  I would highly recommend Gentile Plumbing for anyone who needs plumbing services, as I am sure that they will receive professional work done at a reasonable price.  Well done! <br />

Awesome customer service arrived as promised on time. Took the time to explain what he was doing and why. The owner Jim was professional and showed respect for our home and cleaned up after his self. Did the work in a timely and affordable manner. We will definitely use them again <br />

I called the warranty company Saturday afternoon, received a call a few hours later, and scheduled appointment for the next day. Was told I would get a call 30 minutes prior to arrival but didn't. Arrived Sunday, assessed the problem in less than 15 minutes, recommended new water heater, and measured scuttle hole. He said the order for the heater would be placed Monday, it would arrive Tuesday and he could come Wednesday morning. He called me Tuesday afternoon and said somehow it did not get ordered amd blamed the warranty company, then pushed repair to Wednesday afternoon. On Wednesday I again did not get the 30 minute call letting me know they were coming. The heater did not fit and I asked how, since he measured and the response was "I can't control what the warranty company gives me do you want it or not?" Some boards were removed and replaced to make it fit. The owner, I felt, was a bit hasty and rude but his employee was very nice and explained things well. Overall the job was done, took 4 days from the time I called to completion and overall was an ok but not great experience.

Amazing service. Extremely Fair price. 100% Recommend. My husband and I moved to North Carolina three months ago and have no home repair service connections in the area. I called at 5:45pm expecting to get an answering machine but James answered. I told him that our sewer had backed up into our shower and that this was the third time in the past six weeks it had happened. The other two times my husband and I were able to fix it but this time I was sick of fixing it. I told James if he could come out next day I would greatly appreciate it.  He asked me where I was located and then said that it was right on his way home and he and John (employee) would be out in less than 25 minutes. He got my loyalty right there. It was 5:45pm and he had been working all day and could have easily came the next day but instead he said, ?We?ll be right there.? James and John were at my house in 20 minutes and within 5 minutes of walking around my home and seeing the issue James diagnose the problem. He and John rodded our main sewer line. Due to all of the rain the city line had actually backed up into our main line. James said that it was on the city and not our problem. We needed to have the city come out with a bigger machine and unclog the city line.  Just to be 100% sure and also to help us out he rodded about 50 feet into the main city line. Unfortunately, the line was so backed up that it didn?t do anything to change the water levels. James didn?t need to do the additional rodding into the main city line he could have stopped right after our main line but that is the exceptional service you get with Gentile Plumbing. As I said before I 100% recommend them, no need to look any further, call James. <br />

James was great. Showed up on time, diagnosed the problem and fixed it with no issues.

Mr. Gentile was out promptly when he said he would be on Labor Day weekend Sunday.  We had to turn our AC off and were pretty desperate to get a fair, qualified plumber out quickly.  We found his name on Angie's List, and he not only answered the phone, but was at our home within the hour.  He was very professional, and respectful of our home, and explained what he was going to do with our clogged drain.  We will definitely use him again.  It is great to have a qualified professional plumber that we can depend on. We recommend him. <br />

Cleared our main line stoppage. Our house has been clogged for almost 2 days now and we finally found a plumbing company that could service us by Monday. Great and friendly company with excellent Service. They snaked our sewer and flushed lines and made sure all was clear before they left by having us flush and run all water in the house. Great prompt service and reasonable with price of job

Great service. Gentile Plumbing was on time as scheduled and called half an hour before arrival to inform us of his arrival. Took the time to explain to us what was wrong and why it was happening. Gave us a fair quote. Being we had no hot water Jim the owner of Gentile Plumbing went out of his way and went to the supply house and picked us up and water heater and installed it same day which is unusual late in the afternoon. Great customer service,very professional. They cleaned up after there selves and did a awesome job. Highly recommend this Plumbing company for all your plumbing issues or needs.
