George came out to our home at the scheduled time. The estimate we received was fair and within our budget. On the day of his guys arrived 30 min prior to the start time and were very professional. They moved all our furniture and made sure everything was covered and protected before they started the work. His crew was very professional and clean. George was on site and always available for any questions.

They were very punctual and very efficient. I was constantly checking on the job and all the workers were very professional, and helpful with any questions or doubts i had during the job. I would recommend this company to anyone who wants reasonable price with great quality!

The interior painting was fine. However, they failed to actually stain or seal most of the wood. What wood they did work on was sealed without staining to match the rest of the trim in the house, effectively meaning it needs to be ripped out or painted over. They sent a bill with the wrong billing address (for them!), and complained when the check did not arrive. They would not correct their work until after they received payment for the previous work, and even then kept complaining as if it was our fault that we sent the check to the address they gave us and wanted to be paid on the spot. George's Painting gave us a new estimate to correct the remaining work. This time, they applied a sloppy coat of stain to the remaining wood, leaving rivulets of stain going down the wood and large areas smeared on the floor. The stain in no way matched the previously stained wood. They even failed to lightly sand between applications, which is standard. We have informed George's Painting of their terrible workmanship, and now they are incommunicado.

It was pretty much a disaster, complete strangers even notice how bad the job is.

I hired this company based on reviews from Angie's list.  My experience was a bit different than the A + rating they had.  The answered my call for a quote and arrived on time.  The communicated in Spanish about everything.  We all walked the house together and I pointed out everything that needed painting.  We had a discussion about the master bath, the last words I heard George senior tell me was "we can fix this".  They quoted me a price of $3400.00 and said if I got everything done at once, he would take $200.00 off.  I didn't get other quotes because I just moved in and time was a factor, so I can't really comment on price.  During the week, they dropped of a large paint sample thing to make may choices from.  They arrived early to start the two-day job, a Friday and a Saturday.  They finished the job on Saturday, as promised.  My master bath was not painted, the wood on the steps was not painted, they removed all the drapery hardware and it was tossed out apparently, they took a blind down in the master bedroom and I had to remind many times for them to fix it, they did with crazy glue.  The walls and ceiling are beautiful but the trim is horrible.  I am still painting over spots that were missed or the paint was wiped off when they cleaned the floors.  There was a quarter sized drop of paint on my maple dining room table.  There was a large spot of white trim paint on the colored wall in the hall, but worst of all I continue to clean small spots and areas where there is white paint on the oak floors. They did do me one favor and lift a TV back up above the fireplace that had been taken down for painting. They did leave all the extra paint in the basement, one bucket not closed and has a paint roller floating in it.  The worst thing was them teasing my dogs and getting them agitated and pushing each other towards them and laughing.  Overall, I don't think I had an "A" experience.  Unfortunately I would not recommend them or use them again. <br />

George and his crew did an outstanding job! They were prompt, courteous, professional and really seemed to enjoy their work. George came to meet with us to estimate the work and provided us a quote within 1 business day. From estimate to completion, the team completed the job in 5 business days. <br /> After day 1 we didn't like one of the colors we had chosen after seeing it on the walls. We talked with George about it and he was very accommodating, and just wanted to make sure we would be happy with the final results. This was a big change, but George only charged us for the cost of replacing the paint. <br /> Overall, we were extremely happy with the quality of the work and would highly recommend George's painting to others! <br />

George was very professional when we first dealt with him and did a satisfactory job.  However, when we wanted him to do smaller jobs, he did not respond or set up dates to come and then did not show up nor did he call.  His father, who is the actual owner of George's Painting, came to our house for an estimate to have 3 closet shelves installed (the metal mesh type) for hwich he wanted $650.00.  We thought that was entirely too much as the material cost less than $100.  We looked for someone else off of Angie's list and got an excellent person who only charged $200 which was more reasonable and on top of that did an excellent job.    In addition we are having numerous other things done at reasonable prices.  Had I waited a bit longer, I could have gotten my house painted much cheaper as well.  George is overpriced and does not respond when you call or will he make an appointment with you and then not keep it.  I am glad I found someone else who is capable of doing what we want, is professional, does excellent work and his price is more reasonable.    I have already had work done by this other company and we are very satisfied. <br />

Jorge Lazo and his crew came in and painted 5 bedrooms, our master bathroom plus a large closet, <strong>ALL IN ONE DAY</strong>. They were punctual, in fact they were a little early, which is always very nice.  They were professional and very tidy. Jorge and his team did a great job in our home and I will definitely use them again when we paint the outside of our house. If you are looking for a painter who is reasonably priced, professional, punctual and very good at what he does, then I highly recommend Jorge Lazo. <br /> Malinda Green <br />

Regarding George's response: <br /> I admittedly asked George to honor coupon after work was done because I had forgotten to present it beforehand.  Had he told me he cannot honor it at that point, I would have understood and not pursued it any further.  However, I have written documentation showing George Jr agreeing to honor the coupon after the fact. <br /> <br /> Quality of work performed was good.  That is the only positive thing I have to report. <br /> Jorge Jr agreed, in writing, to honor a coupon after I had already paid full price.  The coupon was for $200 off any job over $2000. <br /> Despite numerous requests on my part, Jorge failed to honor the coupon as he said he would.  He continuously claimed to have mailed the check, which he didn't.  He agreed to meet in person to deliver the check.  He failed to show. <br /> Prior to this, I referred George's Painting to a friend.  Painting was satisfactory, however, Jorge Jr will not take responsibility for a window they had painted shut. <br /> <br /> There are far too many quality painters on Angie's List to use than to waste your time and money on Jorge Jr and George's Painting.  They do not honor their word (even though it is in writing) and they do not stand behind their work. <br /> <br /> I will never use this company again.

Painters arrived exactly on time and accomplished all tasks the same day. The manually stripped the deck and applied two coats of stain. They carefully cleaned and then painted the foundation concrete as it had got dirty over the years. They also scraped, caulked and painted a large bump-out window off our living room. <br />

<p>Due to a minor water leak a section of drywall about 8' x 2' had been cut out. The trim in this area and on the other side of the hall plus a closet had to be placed as well. The drywall and trim had been removed due to a small amount of mold from the water leak.  I called George's painting due to all the great reviews here on Angie's list.  I received an estimate on this work and in addition I asked for an estimate on some painting.  I thought the estimate was very fair. George was extremely professional and even came to look at what the job entailed late on a Friday evening as he was returning from other jobs on his way back to his office. This was absolutely fine with me as I had no plans to go anywhere.  George sent my estimate first thing Monday morning.</p> <p>In the end I used George's only for the drywall and trim work. The job was easily scheduled and the 2 man crew did an outstanding job. I couldn't even tell there had been any damage. The trim work was outstanding as well with nice miter cuts. It lined up well with the existing molding where the miter cuts met.  It only took them approximately 4 hours to do the job.  I plan to call George's in the future for outside painting of my house.</p> <br />

I made three appointments with this company and no one showed to any of them. The only e-mail or phone reply I received asked me when I was available, 2 days after the first two appointments passed. Then they didn't show up for the third appointment. They are way too unreliable for me to use. <br />
