I finally got around to replacing the railroad tie retaining walls that came with the house I purchased 24 years ago. I've replaced a few of the ties over the years but having biodegradable retaining walls is not a long term strategy. I cannot adequately explain how pleased I am with the results I got from Georgia Outdoor Services. The project cost was reasonable, and the service was excellent. Hamilton was great to deal with, and very helpful in selecting the blocks. The crew worked hard and efficiently to remove the old wall and install the new one. Esteban also suggested a wonderful solution to fix a preexisting drainage problem. Everything was cleaned up after the project and it just looks beautiful.

I moved into a place in North Metro Atlanta that was basically a forest. The house was a good deal, but the yard needed a complete overhaul. Booking with Georgia Outdoor Services was easy — I scheduled online and got a confirmation right away. Mike (the owner) came out to meet with my wife and me, listened to what we were trying to do, and came up with a design that actually fit our budget. His crew handled everything: tree removal, stump removal, grading the slope, and moving dirt to reshape the whole backyard. They built terraced retaining walls with Pavestone blocks and added steps through the center, which made the yard actually usable. They put down Zeon Zoysia sod, mulched the beds, built a flagstone stepping stone path connecting to a Pavestone paver patio with a fire pit, and added a side walkway so I could move a dolly from the driveway to the basement without fighting the terrain. We made a small change mid-project and Mike handled it immediately since he was onsite almost every day. The whole job took about two weeks, and they cleaned up daily. Seriously, the best landscaping/hardscape contractor I’ve worked with in Atlanta or anywhere else. Big thanks to the Georgia Outdoor Services team.

We just finished a paver patio project with Georgia Outdoor Services at our home in Dacula, GA, and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome. They installed a beautiful paver patio across the back of our home, completely transforming the space. What was once unused backyard area is now a perfect spot for entertaining, grilling, and spending time with family and friends. We couldn’t be happier with how our backyard turned out. What started as a challenging, sloped lot is now a beautiful, functional space that completely transformed our home. The scope of work was extensive — tree removal, grading, a decorative block retaining wall with steps, a paver patio, irrigation, and Zeon Zoysia sod — and everything was executed flawlessly. The entire process was smooth from start to finish. Hamilton did an excellent job managing the day-to-day work, and Mike, the owner, was very hands-on and regularly checked in to make sure things were going well. The attention to detail and overall quality really stood out, and everyone who’s seen the backyard has been extremely impressed. We’d highly recommend them to anyone looking for high-quality outdoor work in the Dunwoody area.

We are so pleased with all of the work done by this company. They treated our home as if it were theirs. The new driveway - sod - and pinestraw/mulch install has added so much to the curb appeal of our home. After the work was completed they left the property immaculate. We will definitely use their services again and recommend them to friends and family.

Mike and his crew have done work for us on multiple occasions. We have the best looking lawn in our neighborhood. They are honest, courteous, reliable, and reasonably priced. I wouldn't consider hiring anyone else for landscaping work.

They called to let me know that they were running behind on earlier job and what the revised time would be. Hamilton came out and went over all the work to make sure the list was still correct. They started Thursday afternoon and finished at the end of the day on Friday. All work was done and the dumpster was picked up on Saturday morning.

Called Mike and he had an opening to do the service the next day. He fixed the fault .... probably caused by an aeration session that unintentionally found a wire.

Georgia Outdoor did a great job on my landscaping project. They were not the cheapest option, but they assured me they would do the job right - and they did. They were on time, were done quickly and the final work looked great. When I had some additional items that I needed then to take care of Mike made sure they were done and done correctly. They are committed to customer service and more than met my expectations- I would highly recommend them.

Georgia Outdoors did a good job. Mike helped us determine the best way to approach our drainage issue. His crew worked hard to pull up the old paver patio, redo the base and reinstall the pavers. It looks good and the small slope they put on it has helped prevent most of the water build up in heavy rains. The dry creek bed has added an interesting feature to our back yard. It seems to have helped with our yard drainage issues.

Had Georgia Outdoor Services come to give me an estimate to tear out old rotting timber retaining wall around back patio. From the beginning it was clear Mike knows what he is doing. Work was scheduled and completed on time. Crew was thorough and when another drainage issue came up during the job, they were able to complete the additional work at the same time. I will definitely use them again when I schedule the additional work I need done. Great Job!

Excellent job

Mike and his crews are very professional. They showed up on time, and worked very hard. Everyone who saw my new lawn admired its beauty. After installed the lawn, I had a huge tree down on my backyard during IRMA. I was devastated, and first person I can think of helping me is Mike.I asked him if his crews have time to help me remove the tree as soon as possible. He had pretty tight schedule, but he still made time for me by removing the tree next day. I’m very satisfied with their work, even they don’t have fancy tools to work with, but they done a fantastic job. Experiences are much more important, and Mike and his crews do have excellent experiences to do such high quality jobs.

I was overwhelmed with the prospect of this work, I had an idea of what I wanted but no idea of how it could be accomplished. Mike came out walked through the yard with me and listened to what I wanted. He submitted a quote with some additional suggestions and we sealed the deal. He and his crew showed up on the first day and we went over the work expected, marked trees and shrubs to be removed and the work began. In the course of five days Mike and his crew transformed my yard from the hands down worst yard in the neighborhood to one of the top five.

Mike's crew arrived at the scheduled time and worked diligently to correct our erosion problem, while carefully maintaining the integrity of our lawn. The crew used existing field stones, as I had requested, to construct a short stone wall to hold back dirt in one problem area. They then used landscaping fabric covered with river rocks to manage another area of erosion. Both areas are aesthetically pleasing and should preserve the soil in those areas while allowing the natural flow of water during rain. The crew also removed invasive brush and vines in the area where the new drain pipe needed to exit our yard, while being mindful not to disturb the Nandinas. All parts of our yard were left clean and we can hardly tell where the trench was dug to lay the drain pipe. I appreciate their prompt and courteous service and attention to detail. I also appreciate that Mike honored an Angie's List coupon. I plan to use Mike's company again for future yard improvements.

Two workers started in the morning and 3 more came that afternoon. They brought in a load a dirt and used wheelbarrows to haul the dirt up our steep driveway and spread it behind our 100 ft retaining wall to control drainage flow. They stamped it down to form a kind of culvert to feed the water drainage correctly. They also created a river rock bed at the end to control water. Finally, they performed the best after work job site cleanup I have ever seen. They pine strawed all of the work they did as well as cleaned the street where the dirt was and the driveway. It looked like they were never here - really impressed.

I just checked the sprinklers out today and they do much better than before the repairs. Good Job.

We had serious drainage problems, with water overflowing our drains and getting into the house with a heavy rain. Georgia Outdoor Services regraded, and now there's not a hint of water accumulation even outside during heavy rain (no drains needed!). The seed they laid down after regrading has grown impressively, and they expertly installed some sod too. Mike's team also took down three large pines (they were far less expensive than any competitor on this part), and amazingly it's almost not possible to see they were ever there. They also did an excellent job putting in concrete walkways to the front door and porch for me too. Mike Diehl is incredibly knowledgeable, and very patient with my persistent questions about how much to water and when after the regrading. The entire team was incredibly hardworking and professional; they will definitely be my first stop for my next landscaping project.
