I have hired Resnick Garage Door twice in the last 2 months. Both times the reps were friendly courteous and helpful. Jeff was great today repairing my cable. I would not hesitate to hire them again.

We needednew cabls on a commercial garage door. They showed up on time. Got right to work, made new cables, installed them, readjusted the door, and made sure everything sealed up when it was closed. Done in less than 2 hrs. Very satisfied with the work.

The installer did a good job putting the door in, except he must have somehow tangled the wiring to the opener. So after the garage door was used a few times, the opener stopped working. I called Mr. Giel this morning and he told me it was an opener issue which he did not replace and that he would not send someone out because his company is in Butler and I live in the south hills of Pittsburgh. So I got on a ladder and looked at the opener and found that the wiring was tangled and completely ripped off of the screws on the opener. I’m handy enough and was able to redo the wiring, But I’m 72 years old and don’t relish climbing on a ladder to make a repair that Mr. Giel should returned and fixed. Furthermore this was a garage door for my daughter and she would have had to call a different garage door repair man and pay that person. So I called mr. Giel back and told him I was angry that he wouldn’t repair something that failed less than 24 hours after the installation. He kept insisting that he didn’t replace the opener. I told him he compromised the wiring to the opener which eventually led to the failure. He said it was working when he left. I told him that if he wouldn’t honor work he does in the south hill because of the distance from his home, he shouldn’t take jobs in the south hills! I told him I was going to write a negative review of him. The conversation got heated and he ended up calling me a steaming piece of ****. Nice businessman. Needless to say, I do NOT recommend this company..

Got a quote from this company for service and a new opener. Agreed on the price, but they did NOT specifically say what their service included with regard to the install. They asked me to 'leave them a check' which I complied in good faith. After they were finished, the installer called me to inform me that there was 'no electrical outlet in the ceiling so I left it just plugged into an extension cord.' Additionally he said he did not replace the ceiling tile, and also that the new opener required light bulbs, which are no big deal, but the ATTITUDE of the man I talked to on the phone was the issue. Instead of at least tacking an extension cord up nicely, they left the cord hanging down in the middle of the floor, and as the installer said, they did not replace the ceiling tile. This, nor the fact that they did not supply the opener with at least a cord tacked to the wall was a little unnerving, particularly when they didn't inform me of this after the original quote. But the man I talked to on the phone this morning said 'there's not a garage installer in the COUNTRY who puts electric to the opener.' <br /> I was made to feel like an idiot for even asking. I posted a review on FB about this, and immediately a friend of mine who I forgot was a contractor told me he'd have repaired the ceiling tile, supplied the electric and thrown in the light bulbs! (The guy from Giels told me that if they supplied light bulbs, they'd end up breaking, rolling around in the truck! WHAT?! <br /> Needless to say, I would NOT recommend them because of their attitude towards me as a customer. Plus, if you quote a fee for an opener, I feel I should have been informed prior to doing the work, that they would not include repairing the ceiling tile, and supplying the electric, or at least tack up an extension cord to the new opener. <br /> Don't treat your customers like we are idiots. I only called to ask about these non-covered items, and an explanation would have been more appropriate than telling me you've never received a phone call like this in 40 years! I would not recommend this company. (The opener and doors work fine, but additionally, I requested that they try to  adjust the door so it seals more completely and they said they could not do this. He gave me the excuse that they couldn't because he can't get parts. I'm sure there is some way to better seal garage doors, but I guess that's not up their alley!) <br />
