Family owned and operated. You work with Robert Frist, the owner, from beginning to end of the project. Third generation. Full service residential roofing, siding and gutter service. (No sub contractors.) Six employees allows us hands on quality service. Servicing the entire Baltimore and Harford County markets. We also use energy star rated products when preferred.

A couple weeks, you noted a leak coming from the skylight. From the inside of the home, you can see a 2 inch gap between the skylight and the roof all the way around. You can actually hear what's going on outside. I have tried multiple times to reach out to them and I have yet to receive a call back.

G & F arrived exaclty when they said they would, working carefully and considerately, keeping us advised of their daily progress and being careful to clean up the site at the end of each day's work. The job took 9 working days. Bernie, the supervisor, seems to be a perfectionist and the finished job looks it. We are very pleased with every aspect of G & F's process from the initial estimate to the appearance of the new roof. This is a first class company. It would be hard to recommend them too highly. <br />

Sent an email on a Sunday to G&F based on their good reviews and received an email response from Bob on the same day to call him for more details. I called him on Monday (3/31) and Bob mentioned that they had lots of jobs and weather had been a factor in being able to crank out those jobs. However, I explained that the antenna on my mother's roof had been compromised and was in danger of falling from the roof, potentially causing property damage or worse, injury. Bob said he would try to get there by week's end. Well, by end of the business day (3/31), I get a call from Bob saying he had a window of time to send someone next day. I was impressed by the quick response, concern and reasonable price for something they were clearly not going to make lots of revenue on. On 4/1, an employee arrived early, removed the antenna, checked for roof/chimney damage and hauled away the antenna. I was so impressed that I asked him to provide a quote on fascia board and eaves coverings. Based on my experience, I will call them for my house or any future needs at my mother's house. <br /> Thank you Bob! <br />

Went very well. They started when they expected to and finished quickly. They called ma about what they were doing and when they finished. I noticed a broken slate which they came back and fixed immediately. A pleasure to work with.

I wasted months on getting two roof repair estimates for my condo building in Roland Park. Those two estimates were outragenous, and it was obvious that the estimates included materials that were un-necessary. After subscribing to Angie's List I found G & F Contractors. It only took one call to Bob, the owner of G & F and he had his estimator come to my building. The estimate was done accurately and did not require any internal access to the building or occupied units. <br /> Bob called and left me a message with the estimate cost. I thought I heard him wrong; the estimate was pretty much half of what other "roofers" has quoted. Bob confirmed he gave me the right price. <br /> Scheduling was easy as well. They rainy weather had back up G & F's jobs, but Bob put me close to the front of the line and had the repairs completed in one day. <br /> If you need roof work done and you are in the Baltimore area, make one call to G & F. That is the best estimate and experience you are going to get. Trust me, I know. <br />

It went great. <br /> Had gotten 5 quotes on this work, and went with G & F because it was clear that Bernie, (the gentleman who came out to do the estimate), had the roofing and carpentry experience to do the work on an older ( built in 1924) house. He is a second generation roofer, and and it was obvious he was knowledgeable as to what would be required to do the needed repairs. Also, he was honest in saying that the entire roof did not need to be replaced. Bernie was in charge of the crew on site, and the workman who assisted him swept up everything before they left. <br /> Robert Frist, with whom I communicated by phone and email, gave a fair quote, and provided verification the company was insured. He also coordinated the scheduling of the work ( the job took 2 days), kept me up to date on the plan, and all the interaction was prompt and professional. <br /> Would not hestitate, to deal with this company again- in fact, have already got a quote for another project for ths Spring/early Summer. <br /> My roof doesn't leak now - Hooray! <br />

They said they were going to come to do the work and the Bly evidence I had that they were in fact there was I received a bill. The roof can be seen from my bedroom and there was no evidence that debris (leaves) had been removed to examine any of the roof. They very well may have inspected the roof and sealed and done repairs,,,it's just I received no invoice of what they actually did or any summary of work completed. Again, the boss was courteous and took time on the phone with me when we were scheduling this. Perhaps to is common to have roofers charge nearly 20-25 percent of a roof installation for a follow up eval at 5 years to ensure they laid down a roof which can last ten years, I have little experience with the porch flat roofs so I have to assume this is standard practice. <br />

Bob and his crew were extremely professional and helpful throughout the process. Being unfamiliar with what it would take to replace my flat roof that was poorly installed by another contractor 3 years ago, Bob was happy to walk me through my options and help me pick the best solution. His team showed up on time, and finished when they said they would. They also walked me around the roof and showed me exactly what they were doing, and answered my questions. Not only was the service and quality superior, but the price was also extremely reasonable, given that the entire roof needed to be replaced. I highly recommend G&F and I would not hesitate to use them again. <br />

When my elderly neighbors'new roof started leaking their roofer (NOT G&F), blamed my roof. <br /> So I turned to G&F and they came through wonderfully. They responded <br /> quickly, installing a new roof for half the price the competition <br /> estimated. They even bent over backwards to make sure that the roof was <br /> watertight and matched my neighbors' where the two joined. <br /> In short, they solved both my neighbors' problem and mine efficiently, economically and professionally. <br />

G&F provided a competitive bid for slate roof repair, they showed up promptly and did what was proposed. The roofer, Robert, explained everything he was going to do and reviewed it when the job was complete. No problems hiring them again. <br />

We contacted via email. We then received a call to look at the damage and provide a free estimate. The estimate seemed fair and we approved the work. Within a week or so (we did not push for quicker response) the crew came out and fixed the problem. <br />

G&F came out and gave an estimate quickly, and called to follow up. They offered competitive pricing to other estimates, and were very easy to deal with. Scheduled us in during a busy time, and completed the work quickly, and cleaned everything up. I am not a roofing expert, but everything looks good, and we didn't have any leaking in the attic during the storms we just had (flashing was replaced because it leaked during hurricane Sandy). <br />

From initial call to project end I thought Bob and his team were very professional and delivered on everything we discussed. I called around for price estimates quoting Bob's estimate and 2 other outfits said they could match but not go lower. I was happy with my service and would recommend them in the future. <br />

Great. Prompt response to inquiry. Verbal and printed estimate. Communication all the way, - shingle choices, possible debris inside, when then were coming, what they would do. Fine example of a contractor the goes out of the way for good service. Completed the work exactly as said. Clear all their equipment and trash.
