The salesperson was easy to work with, the product has lasted well for 14 years.  However, the installation was a nightmare. <br /> Fried outsourced the installation work.  The installer seemed experienced.  The assistant was a licensed plumber helping the installer on his slow times.  The head installer arrived late every day (around 10AM) and took long (1 or 2 hour) breaks each day leaving the plumber assistant to do the work.  Our entire breakfast nook was installed by the plumber and a young woman assistant while the installer was on one of his breaks.  The installation took 2+ weeks and we were really fed up having to live in our bedroom for all that time! <br /> When the work was finally completed, the head installer put our large hutch on a piece of cardboard to move it from the living room area back into the dining area.  He did NOT use a dolly and had already complained about having to move furniture.  (My husband and I moved most of the furniture out of the living room and dining room.)  As he pushed the hutch toward the place it belonged, one of the metal feet came off the cardboard and left a gash across the dining room that was at least 4 feet long.  After attempting to replace just the damaged wood with no success they had to remove all the wood from the dining room and lay new wood in the entire room.  This meant another week of removal and installation. <br /> They used damaged unfinished quarter round at the base of the walls that they got from Home Depot and didn't cover the nail holes.  It looked terrible.  We withheld our final payment until someone came to repair the quarter round, remove all the glue that was stuck on the wood and secure the slats of wood that were lifting up from the cement flooring underneath. This took another week or more. We have documented letters of complaint in our file of this experience. <br /> I realize that this was 12 years ago and things might have changed by now but we will never do business with G Fried again.  We just had wood floors installed in two rooms by International Wood Floors and we can highly recommend them. <br />

Very nice job, great help by Jan Melville, in store designer for color/style choice.  She has a great eye for color and style.  The installer did a fine job and was very considerate and neat. <br />

We had a large space to be tiled & had to wait for shortage-of-stock. But the wait was worth it, and still completed within our time frame. Juan & his team were on time every morning, friendly and professional. Juan is truly an artist!

Our sales person, Jan Miller, was excellent in walking us through the decision process from "replace carpeting" (loaning us many samples) to "replace the floors with bamboo".  She cheerfully suggested choices and was very un-pushy throughout the process.  We signed the contract in July and the product was ordered.  It went from the G. Fried warehouse to our dining room in November to adjust to our environment. The project was initially identified to be 5 days for approx. 1,200 sq ft of bamboo.  Work began in early December.   <br /> The installation team was excellent, showed up every day within 10 minutes of their promised arrival time (almost always <br /> early - not like typical Florida contractors) and was VERY knowledgeable.  Our condo is fully furnished and they moved everything from room to room with care.  The old ugly carpet and tack strips went out the door and were disposed of by the contractor, as promised.   Turns out our concrete floors are 'not quite' flat with little sweeping waves in the concrete from the builder (ca. 1994).  It took effort and time to fit the planks together and make sure they are flat and well adhered.  And in the guest bedroom there was evidence that someone has excavated through the slab in several places.  I signed a change order (very reasonable additional price $150) to fill in those low spots.  <br /> The actual job took 6 days plus, and the installation team stayed late when needed to make sure the floor was completed <br /> by Saturday evening.  I was out of town and initially quite disappointed on Sunday evening when I returned to FL to see fingerprints and glue smears on the floor -- on Monday morning Mike from Scheduling was very responsive to my concern and the installers returned Monday afternoon to clean the entire floor.  They did so on their hands and knees ... and when they were finished the floors looked PERFECT.  Just as we expected.  A TOTAL WOW! <br /> The installers came the next day and installed toe molding in the rooms where the baseboards were left in place.  A couple <br /> little glitches were that insufficient product was ordered to complete the guest bedroom molding and the threshold to the slider ... both were rectified asap (over the Christmas holiday, due to ordering process so completed in late December) with new materials. <br /> It was a pleasure working with the sales office, the schedulers and the installation team.  When it comes time to trade in our condo for our full-time Florida home, we will call G. Fried for any flooring replacement we need. <br />

Easily picked sale-priced carpet, scheduled install, and then just did it! <br />

It seemed like it took a long time for G. Fried Flooring America to do the work. Their price, quality, and professionalism were excellent. I would use them again in the future.

They were great with the details and the quality was unbelievable.
