About us

G&J Remodeling has been in business for 16 years and has been a member in good standing of the Better Business Bureau since April, 1998, with an A+ rating. We are certified, insured, and have been voted Omaha Magazine's "Best Home Remodeling Company" four times. Our employees are background checked, and very professional. They are skilled craftsmen with experience in all facets of remodeling. Owner, Gregg Studanski, is a licensed remodeler. He is a member of NARI (National Association of the Remodeling Industry), and is a Certified Remodeler (CR) and Certified Kitchen and Bath Remodeler (CKBR). We pride ourselves in the fact that most of our customers are aquired through the recommendation of previous/current customers. We provide free estimates and have your bid out to you in a timely manner. We have had numerous customers who have been pleasantly surprised by the fact that we are able to create the design that they are wanting but have been told by other professionals they could not obtain. We are a lead abatement contractor and are adament about acquiring and obtaining any and all licsenses that are required by the state.

Previous contractor completed full kitchen and dining room renovations.  Within weeks the kitchen grout began to crack and tiles became loose.  The previous contractor provided a tail lights warranty refusing to return calls after "fixing" the problem by placing caulk in the grout lines.  G&J pulled up the floor in the affected area,  secured the Durock properly and regrouted the entire floor with an epoxy  grout.  They also extended the tile floor into the laundry room. <br /> Previously, G&J had redone our master bathroom with excellent results. <br /> Very good contractor to work with. <br />

It went very well.  I wanted to go out and find the granite myself for the counter tops, to select backsplash materials, select the fixtures , flooring, etc. (kept existing cabinets).  If contractor could get my selections at a better price, he did.  If not he helped me source and figure amount I would need so I could purchase and have delivered.  It saved me money and he was fine with that. They made sure that my "vision" for the room would work and suggested alternatives if not.  I always deferred to their opinions and am glad for that.  They did great work with attention to details, were neat and well organized. They cleaned up as much as was possible before they left the house each day.  I never felt stressed by the "construction zone" because of that.  They are a vertical  company with qualified men for electrical, plumbing, etc working just for them, so I never had to wait for a sub-contracted worker to show up. That meant no delays and completion of the project in a shorter time.   This was my second project with them.  Getting ready for the next  and won't even think about calling anyone else. I have my contractor! <br />

They used the wrong color grout in the shower. The tile floor is not level so they put my toilet up on shims and it leaked into the basement. The shower also leaked into the basement. the glass tile in the shower was installed upside down. The crew entered another room of my home and took the check for the final payment out of my checkbook before I came home to see the finished product. The owner of the company refused to come out and see the problems and did not respond to e-mails containing photos of the problems. <br />

We are very pleased with the work Mark and Tyler did in our remodel.  The tile is perfect, as was the wall work and installs.  Pete did a great job in fitting a microwave/hood combo into our existing cabnets. They cleaned up afterward and the job was performed quickly.  Gregg Studanski knew wat we needed to have done and arrainged it very professionally.  I have no trouble recomding them and will be sure to call them whenever we are in need of remodelling agin. <br />
