"I'm sorry that you are unhappy. you're review is not accurate about the remodel and in some items are completely false. when I was contacted by Mr [Member Name Removed] I explained that depending on the supply chain issues currently and disruptions it would be a good idea to get the materials ordered when you had picked them out. this would help facilitate the job. when he decided to use our services I instructed him to order the flooring so there wasn't a delay. he asked to do it to see if I could get a better price for him. I ordered the flooring and checked availability. everything was good at the time. when we started the job I checked on the flooring. the tile was in, but thelaminate wasn't. the supplier called the manufacturer and we were informed that it was back ordered. I told the customer that at the time it was ordered the flooring was available. the problem was that there was only 300sf available. it wasn't scheduled to be manufactured a month. when the customer chose the flooring originally the company didn't verify quantities. I sent them to a different supplier to pick out another floor that was actually waterproof and better quality. it was delivered within 2 weeks. I estimated the job would take approximately 4-6 weeks. we finished the original work in that time frame. we had demo, install new floors , paint cabinets, installed new door hardware, appliances and debris removal. the customer decided to add extra work and paint walls, trim and doors in the areas we had remodeled. this wasn't in the original price. they accepted the cost for the work. I did not cheat the customer out of any money. I really don't know where that came from. I invoiced the customer for the work performed. the question about a $1000 overcharge is the first I've heard of this. anytime there was a change to the original scope of work we went over the price and work to be performed. the door hardware has been a challenge to get. the customer wanted to change hardware on one door to a different hinge after they had approved the original installation. the cabinet cannot install what he doesn't have, the painters can't finish their punchlist until the door is ready. trades are not going to show up if they can't Finish their work. all the items for the install on the were finished to the approval of the customer. the customer was even complimentary about he work performed. the painters did get some overspray on the floor. it took 2 trips to clean it. they didn't want to harm the floor. the appliances were installed per instructions. I installed the bracket after the customer asked. the microwave screens were found in a box and installed. the customer has also informed us several times that we couldn't work a day, because they were out of town. we couldn't work the week of spring break, etc. the job has been 99% complete for over a month. as I have said in this response, we have tried to accommodate the customer as much as possible."
"we turned a dining room into a bedroom with a closet. You informed me that you were using the house as a rental. There were areas that had different types of texture. we textured the area to try to look even. The closet door you asked for it to be installed to open a certain way. You then asked me to turn it the other way and we did."
"Thank you!"
