Gil was very professional and he took a lot of pride in his work. He did not take any corner when faced with problems and he made sure everything was done correctly and to code. Gil gave a reasonable quote after inspecting our old system to replace with a new heat pump. Installation were delayed due to personal issues but when we really needed heating once the temperature were dropping, he made it his priority to finish it. During installation there were issues with the old duct work which made the work more difficult. He didn't upcharge us at all to fix it. We very much appreciated in working with him and would gladly repeat doing business.

Do NOT do business with Gill Rodrigue d.b.a. GMR Mechanical Services because they are UNRELIABLE. They install inferior equipment that does not do the job, they perform sloppy work and do not follow up on maintenance or warranty calls as per sales contract. Calls or email communications go un-answered. RUN AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY

does not return calls, used wrong pipes during installation. I'm having to spend another 6k worth of repairs and installation.

Contracted oct last year. First unit not installed till end of nov then the excuses started. My mistake paying him up front . Dropped . The units in my garage at least except the hot water system . Came back to do second unit and finished except for some of the duct work and drain pump. Never came back after that . Finally after calling and leaving a message for that I was hiring some to finish the job 6 months later and lot money lost over the winter on oil and electric he tried scheduling a week after after the new contractor Finished the second unit , installed the third unit and a on demand hot water system . He had to pull permits and had electrical inspection preformed. Gas line and tank for propane installed all in three days with his crew. I’m out about 11,000 dollar and gill responded after 6 months I was in breach of contract tuff luck. Now we have to go threw the courts! Would not recommend anybody use him. Something went wrong with this company starting in 2020’

Claims he can not get parts. Will not return deposit. Will not answer phone calls. Will not release from contract

"We did not perform any service for this customer. We did accept a deposit for a job to be completed. Materials were delayed and customer grew upset with waiting. Even after we explained it’s been hard to get material as of late before he accepted out estimate. His deposit was utilized on the purchase of equipment. We had to eat 20% restocking fee. He breached our contract and did get his money back."

Needed to replace my home a/c and GMR Mechanical visited my home quickly. We discussed the options and was quoted a price on the spot with the available installation dates. Their prices were reasonable so I hired the company for the A/C replacement. The work completed by GMR Mechanical was excellent, cleaned up and were very polite. I would hire again.

Gill was excellent, called within the hour of me finding his number thru Angie's list (TYVMBTW). swung by well after dark on the way home from another job on a Friday before a Holiday weekend. Solved problem quickly. Extremely knowledgable. did I mention the Extremely Good Price too... Another Big Plumbing outfit came by 2 days prior and although I tried, they didn't want to touch it, risk and all that, but they did happily quote me a new system. Gill is my go to from now on.

Came in the timeframe stated in the phone call. Found 2 issues with why it wouldn't run properly. He explained what was wrong, what causes the items to break, and informed how to prevent it in the future! Lucky for me he had the replacements at his place. Came back that evening! Done! I dealt with Gill directly! My kind of ppl! Lol! Thx Gill!

Gil responded very quickly to my initial email with a phone call. I described the problem with my washing machine. He was able to come the next morning and was at my house exactly when he said he would be. He quickly determined and fixed the problem! I was doing a load of laundry within an hour and a half! He gave me some tips on maintaining my washer and even checked out an issue I was having with my stove. He seemed to be both knowledgeable and honest. I will definitely be calling Gill's the next time I have an appliance that needs repairing.

I felt the tech was taking advantage. Quoted a price to replace motor $400 vs. fix brushes on a motor. (less than $50) I did not hire them and searched for another reasonable service repair Co. willing to do the repair.

BEWARE!!! I had removed all of the dishwasher racks and filters - I had eliminated all of the possibilities except the pump. The technicina literally walked in, removed the pump and took most of the 20 minutes to write up the invoice. My complaint is that they charged me for a full hour of labor and were in the home for 20 minutes total. Yes, they will repair (and repair well) but the costs are hidden. They charge $80 an hour to make the call, but then there is a full hour for ANY time that they spend at your home. The minimum charge becomes $160. Yes, they give a first time discount of $20 or a 10% discount to seniors but it's still steep. When I questioned the owner about the charges for a 20 minute service call ($149.95) and he said, "Honey, do you know how much it costs to run a business?" I was highly insulted at his condescending attitude. I will call elsewhere another time and will never recommend them due to exhorbitant charges.

"As I have responded to this review to the Better Business Bureau and other reviewing websites. This is not the first time this customer has used us she is familiar with the way that we charge. Her request was that I discount the service or she was going to leave a bad review unfortunately it was out of my control. in trying to be polite explaining our charges she took offense."
