They responded im.ediately after I sent out the call through Angie's. They came within a day or 2 to give me an estimate on costs and broke down costs for each item of work so I could pick and choose what I wanted to do now and later. When I accepted, they gave me a day and time the following week. They got here early and got to work with a trencher. They worked consistently most of the day. Always very respectful when there was a question or clarification required by them or me. The finished work looks great. They cleaned up well after themselves. One little thing I might suggest is to provide workers with shoe covers when coming inside. I would recommend GoGen - very prompt and professional.

Two men from GoGen arrived to help me sort out the origin of half my home losing power in the ceiling lights and wall plugs between four rooms. One told me that I needed to upgrade my outdoor electric box and that it was out of code for new homes. They then came into my home to test the electric current in the plugs that didn't work--one by one (even opening my fridge to confirm it was on). One of my breakers was tripped from the winter storm and flipping the switch fixed 95% of the problem. From there, they told me to conduct a diagnoses and repair to one line of connected plugs, the cost would be $365 per set, and that I had two, but they would only charge me for one. The set fee covered up to 4 hrs of work. The repair took 25 minutes and involved snipping a burned wire and re-twisting it with one that was in good condition to restore power. I later called to ask for the 20% Angies List Membership discount, and while hesitant, they honored it. This sort of balanced things out.

Very dependable and on time. Very satisfied with the quality of work. Didn't just put a band aid on the issue but did extensive troubleshooting and fixed it right. This is an old house and he had to make three fixtures work from incorrectly wired wall switches in an old house, added four ceiling can-lights and run new wire, and install a couple of smart wall light switches in a hard to replace location. The ceiling lights are great and really made a difference in our living room.

I thought that the first time I was set up, it could happen, yes, an emergency. Then, the second time, right the next day, a no-show. Then the office lady was trying to "comfort" me by saying he was "a little behind," which would have meant waiting another two hours for a job that could have been done in half an hour.

WOW! Contacted GoGen to inquire about having a whole home connection for my portable generator installed. David came out to give a free estimate for work required. He is a very personable young man. He took the time to understand my needs and also educated me on the requirements and options to complete the work as my main panel was full. The estimate was significantly less in cost than I expected (about 20% of the cost of another estimate I received from another electrician). Agreed to go ahead with the work. David returned for the scheduled appointment at the agreed upon time. Performed the the work very efficiently and instructed me on the proper procedure for using my generator in the event of a power failure.
