These guys act as a broker between independent maids and customers who want to get their place cleaned. There doesn't seem to be much vetting or accountability. Every interaction was a disaster until I finally cancelled them.

they did a nice job of cleaning a very tight but furniture filled studio apartment. very diligent regarding all of the floors and walls. the only thing that my daughter had to ask about was cleaning the window areas.  we though it was part of the work. <br /> <br /> <br />

Overall, it really depended on who came to clean.  Some were much better than others, and the good ones I found were very difficult to rebook.  I found one cleaner I really liked who was always punctual, fast and extremely thorough.  But she was rarely available so I finally gave up.  Most other cleaners were mediocre at best.   <br /> One time there was a miscommunication and the cleaners were no-shows.  Once I contacted them, the company quickly got people out here to do the job even though they have been at another place all day.  Very responsive in that situation, and one of the girls that arrived did a very good job.  <br /> The fact that I could never get the same GOOD cleaner on a regular basis is why I quit them in the end.  Their customer service is excellent, but the inconsistency in their cleaners (some were super slow and not very thorough) was too frustrating for me to continue using their service. <br />

Would not recommend this company.  Not only did they do a poor cleaning job but then left all the doors and windows wide open.  Didn't even lock the front door or any of the sliding glass doors. <br />

I was looking for someone to clean my parents house, and got 4 quotes from businesses around the area. It's a big house, but I got a reasonable quote from Golden Shine, $211 for the whole house. I left a check for $211 with Dad on the day of our initial service.  The cleaners came and spent a fair amount of time trying to find extra things to do. For example, even though I told them specifically NOT to clean inside the appliances, they asked if they could clean in the oven and the fridge.  The job that was estimated to take 3.5 hours took them almost 7, but I'm not surprised, considering they told Dad they would take 2 hours to clean the refrigerator! When they finally left, they informed my dad that the service was actually going to cost $390, and requested a check for the difference.  <br /> Shocked, as any reasonable person would be, that my actual price was almost 2x the quoted price, I called to express my dissatisfaction. A gentleman, who I believe is the owner, had no explanation. Their computer and it's "very sophisticated algorithm" kept telling them 3.5 hours for $211. He could not tell me why they spent so long and charged so much extra, but did say they haven't had any complaints about the pair of cleaners that had been sent, and the house must have needed extra attention. It's not a Hoarders episode, my parents are actually really tidy and the house was professionally cleaned only a month prior, so kind of hard to believe. The best offer he could give me was to credit me 1 hours' worth of work for my next cleaning, worth $60. I spent $179 more than I had intended, $60 doesn't do me much good, especially when I don't plan to call them for service again. <br /> I was assured they don't do the "bait and switch", but that's exactly what I got. I feel cheated, and think it's highly inappropriate to low-ball an estimate, then jack up the price by dawdling and doing more than what was requested. I'm hiring someone else <br />

I decided to give Golden Shine a trial run after seeing their reviews on Angie's List. In the beginning they were very accommodating - allowing me to try different teams/crews. They're a bit expensive but I liked that they cleaned on Saturdays and were punctual. <br /> Golden Shine was overall fine until the following occurred: <br /> - I specifically requested a crew for a cleaning after trying several different crews. <br /> - They booked me with that crew but then sent a DIFFERENT crew that I specifically requested that they don't send back. <br /> - Then I tried more time with the team I liked and they cancelled on me at the last minute right before my Mother-in-Law was coming in. <br /> It was a total disaster. I think they got new ownership? In any case, I found a new cleaning agency that weekend and never went back. <br />

I have used them 3 times. The girls are always on time and do good job. I feel their prices are average, but good for the quality of work.

Great cleaning job. Golden Shine responded promptly to my requests for information about their services. The cleaner arrived on time & cleaned everything as expected. She paid special attention to the items I had pointed out to her. She brought all the environmentally friendly supplies as requested. She asked to use my vacuum and mop vice going back to her car to get hers. Subsequent visits (I use the service every other week), cleanings were equally as good, even when substitute cleaners came. I have very bad allergies and asthma. Golden shine has left everything sparkling clean and dust free. They complete the cleaning in about 2 1/2 hours. I am usually home to let them in, but generally leave during the cleaning. I am comfortable leaving the cleaner in my home. If something is not done right, I contact the office and they correct it on the next visit. They have lowered the price whenever the cleaner uses any of my cleaning supplies. The quality of service generally declines over time with previous companies I have used. That does not appear to be the case with Golden Shine. The only reason I gave them a "B" for price is that they are charging me extra for parking since I live downtown. The cleaners generally are able to park in free 2 hr spots & can stay longer in the spot with a visitor plaque I give them. <br />

The people that handle the service call and the appointment set ups are awesome. They do a great job and are very friendly and helpful. They sent two people out to do the actual cleaning. One was great ("A" rating) and the other was adequate (hence the "B" ratings). We were happy with this service and have started using them for bi-weekly cleanings. <br />

I hired Golden Shine to clean my house every other week, and think they are fantastic. Katherine and Rhea are absolutely wonderful. <br />

Very disappointed with the experience. The people over the phone were very nice and helpful in setting things up, but I was very disappointed with the quality of the cleaning. The cleaners arrived almost 30 minutes late to start with, which wasn't a big deal since we hadn't moved in yet, but when I went to check on them about 2 hrs into the cleaning a few of them were just standing around talking. They said that they were almost done but yet it didn't seem that they had done much yet. I had paid for almost 4.5 hrs so I figured they still had time. But after the 4.5 hrs they called to let me know that they were going to need more time, I assume b/c they hadn't been doing much up until then. I told them to finish what we had planned, but when I came to check on things I noticed that a lot of things hadn't been touched like medicine cabinets, etc. I pointed them out and they addressed them but I shouldn't have had to do that. Afterwards I followed up with the main office and they didn't make me pay for the extra time over 4.5 hrs, but since we've moved in I've been extremely disappointed with what I've found. Simple things like shelves in the closet weren't cleaned and there are still cobwebs in the top of several closets. And the crevices near the door openings are very dirty. A move-in cleaning is supposed to be a top to bottom cleaning and this was little more than a basic cleaning with lots of things missed for almost $500. Golden shine had told me they could send people back to address things that I wasn't happy with but when you are moving in and in the process of putting things away, it's just easier to do it yourself rather than wait several days for someone to come back and do it. And I was told that I would receive a $50 off coupon for my next cleaning to cover the difficulty we had but I never received that. <br /> Carpet cleaners seemed to do a good job, so that experience was fine. <br /> Would not use Golden shine again nor recommend them. It sounds like they have several different individuals and groups who they pull from and I'm sure some of them are fine, but if you can end up with a group like this then it's not worth it. <br />

Veronica arrived early (I drove up 15 min before our scheduled time and she was sitting on the porch with her supplies). We did a quick walk through and then she got right to work.  She did a great job - thorough, quick, and lots of attention to detail.  She used  her own products (except for the vacuum as I wanted her to use ours) and asked me to walk around and check to see if everything was to my satisfaction.  This was the first time I've used Golden Shine and every interaction was smooth and professional.  Angie responded to my request for a quote immediately via email and then followed up with a phone call to see if I had more questions based on the quote.  I will definitely call back to schedule regular cleaning. <br />

Ally called me right after I purchase the Big Deal, and we made an appointment for 2 Saturdays later.  Kristina & Jared were scheduled at 9, and the carpet cleaners were scheduled about 3 (Golden Shine is a referral service).  They called me from the property on time, I was running a few minutes late to meet them.  As soon as we walked in, Jared filled the kitchen sink & bathtub with hot water so they could soak - they didn't waste any time getting to work!  We reviewed everything that needed to be done (it was a bachelor's apartment :-(  ).  The apt. (small 2 bedroom 1 bath)  was empty, but FILTHY, so they had their work cut out for them.  They estimated it would be about 3 hours, & I left them to it.  <br /> Kristina called me about 10:30 & said it would be more work than they expected, & would be done about 12:30.  No problem. <br /> About 11 the carpet cleaners called and said they were running early, could they come at 12:30 instead of 3?  I called Kristina & she said that should be fine. <br /> I got there about 12:15, the carpet cleaners were already there, and Kristina & Jared were finishing up.   It was clear that they had worked really hard; the place looked & smelled great.  Even though they don't officially wash the outside of windows, they did the outside of the sliding glass door on the balcony.  I did find a few scrapes on the wall I asked them to go over, and to also wipe down the vertical blinds.  They also reinstalled the fire alarm that I had replaced the battery in.  Everything was sparkling, they made the best out of a bad situation (especially in the kitchen & bathroom).  They really earned their money.  It got a little hairy there at the end as the carpet cleaners were trying to come in as K&J were hauling out their stuff, but K&J never complained, even though they had worked really hard and were a little pressured at the end. <br /> The carpet cleaners were fine; once they were in it took about 40 mins.  The white carpet looked clean on my last inspection, but since I was turning over the keys that afternoon, I didn't stick around for the carpet to dry & inspect it closely.  They seemed professional & prompt. <br /> Upshot:  we got the full deposit back; the landlady said another tenant moved into that apartment & reported that it was spotless.   Yay! <br />

Rosa and Juana did an outstanding job!!  Not only did my house smell clean, it actually looked clean.  My husband was also impressed- no small feat.  We are now scheduled to have the team back every two weeks and I  no longer will worry about doing the cleaning myself!!  This is a company that will actually give you your money's worth. <br />

They did a good job. I did have to ask them to come back to address some areas that were missed.
