I had Golden Tree come out to bid a job -- removing the stumps of bamboo that had not survived the snow storm last February. I had previously had the stalks cut and removed. They indicated that it would take some time to dig out the bamboo stumps and quoted a price of $1000. They sent a written quote by email indicating that the work would be done over the course of one or two days. I agreed to the quoted price because they indicated that the work would be labor intensive (hand digging), giving the impression that it would take quite a long time to extract the stumps. Imagine my surprise when they (two people) came and completed the work in under 1 1/2 hours. When asked if they thought their quote was accurate and fair, they responded that that ($1000) was the agreed upon price. When I e-mailed the **office** (which may, in fact, be the same people who did the work), the response was similar. I indicated that if they had quoted a low price and found the work to be more extensive than they anticipated, they surely would have come back to me to make adjustments (which would have been fair) -- and I was only doing the same thing. No response. So, they did the work (and it was done well, so no problem there). I paid them the exorbitant amount of money (on the order of 4x the going hourly rate for this type of work), but I feel that they were deceptive and dishonest about the work involved and the time it would take. I assured them I would never use their business again and would not recommend them to anyone, ever.

We hired Golden Tree to trim the trees and bushes in our yard, there was also one small tree that needed to be removed. They were very prompt and courteous. They did a great job, just the right amount of trimming to make everything look neat and tidy. They cleaned up well, took all the branches away. I'm very happy with the job and would definitely hire again.

After the historic winter storms left broken branches at risk of damaging either my or my neighbors cars, it was difficult to find a tree service to 1. come out within a reasonable number of days and 2. quote a fair price - not even some of the bigger, more popular/well known companies. Golden Tree service exceeded my expectations in both areas. I received a call that morning and I had a pro at my home within a few hours to assess and quote for the work. The price was absolutely reasonable and we scheduled to have the work done 2 days later. That Saturday, the office contacted me to let me know the team was running late. Even though they ended up arriving a few hours later than planned, I had no problems with communication and expectations. The job was done that day and the team did a fantastic job. They will have my tree business from now on.
