I’m always skeptical about hiring anyone off the internet. However, Max was able to troubleshoot within minutes and apply a solution that worked. Every other repairman I spoke with said it was ‘this part, which is no longer made’ or ‘this board, which is no longer made’ and did not offer any other solutions. Max knew it was old, but installed newer parts that did the same job. Since I didn’t have to go buy a new fridge, in a pandemic, with serious supply chain problems…He saved me thousands. Thanks Max

Very well: Max arrived on time, did a full inspection including accessing the electronics in the freezer (removed an ice build up), and the refrigerator, ordered parts, returned, installed the parts, added refrigerant, completed a through check of the systems and leveled the unit.

My refrigerator stopped cooling. instead of the normal, low hum of the compressor it started to do this louder buzzing. Matt quickly identifies the problem with it fixed in no time. Definitely gets a 5 on ALL those categories! 100% would recommend.

Initially called Max at Good Guys Refrigeration and he let me know he services North King County. Asked if I could call him back if I failed to find someone else who handles Samsung and he said “sure.” Needless to say, I ended up calling him back. He agreed to come here to University Place on Saturday and gave me a very reasonable quote. I think he was a little nervous because of Samsung’s reputation. When he arrived today he was greeted with a large drawer on the freezer side completely filled with ice. The drawer was frozen into place with ice around it, as well. (If I can attach pictures to this review, I will. If not, he did put something in Instagram.). Before he could do anything else, he had to remove the ice. What a trooper he was! This young man knows his stuff! When finally able to get into the back panel he found the problem quickly and finished the repair in record time. He kept me informed and showed me what he was doing every step of the way. I’d hire him again in a heartbeat!

Max showed up right away, he actually could have been there before we were getting home. He was a great young man. He diagnosed our problem quickly. The part had to be ordered and was on the way right then. Max also helped me with a few other general questions. Just a great guy to work with in La Quinta, CA.

Max immediately diagnosed the problem and my freezer was working in less than an hour. I called another repair service first and they could not schedule the repair for over a week. From the time I called Max to the time my refrigerator was fixed was just under 2 hours. I definitely would recommend him again. Locally owned and operated and very prompt.

Honestly this could not have gone any worse (its kinda long review but please read to the bottom about how this guy scammed me). I called about getting a fridge repaired in a rental unit I'm managing on Thursday. Max came out same day, then made the diagnosis and repair (replaced a fan motor.) A couple hours later my renters called me because the fan was squealing so loud it could be heard by the neighbors. Max couldn't come back that night so we had to wait until Friday morning for him to fix it again. He comes on Friday, and low and behold, a couple of hours later the fan is squealing just as loudly and he cant come back for ANOTHER day to fix it AGAIN. But the real kicker is that my renter told me that he complained to her during the repair that he didn't have the right part, and that he was going to use a different motor that he thought might fit. So now its been 3 days my renters don't have a fridge and this guy scammed me by selling me the wrong part for my appliance. BUT WAIT THERES MORE. When he first called me to tell me the price of the repair and ask for payment, I agreed to pay as soon as he sent me the invoice. When I told him that, he got very angry and aggressive and yelled at me that "IT DOESN'T WORK LIKE THAT" and that "HE NEEDS TO GET PAID NOW". I again explained that I would gladly pay him as soon as he sends me the invoice. He messaged me the invoice a few minutes later and I called back and paid with a credit card over the phone. This whole exchange happened in front of my renters and it freaked them out enough that they don't want this guy back inside their home. On top of this, every time I've called him he's talking so fast I can barely understand him and his train of thought is all over the place. I don't feel comfortable with this guy being in my house again.

Max called to say he come earlier than previously set appt and was very punctual. He asked a couple questions and then got right to work on a solution. He was professional and efficient plus he allowed us to ask questions as to how to avoid this situation in the future. I would recommend Max to any of my friends who might have fridge or freezer problems without hesitating.

My refrigerator was not cooling enough (mid-fifties instead of 34) for over a week so I called Max, and we talked within minutes. We agreed it wasn't an emergency, so we scheduled his visit within a day, and he arrived promptly. He removed the back panel and found the defrosting panels had iced over, so he manually defrosted them with a steamer. I asked how we could keep it from happening again, and he said that if the automatic defrost control had been compromised by the frost build-up he would need to replace the main circuit board. He researched sources of supply for that board that evening after he left, and called me the next day with that information, and asked me how the refrigerator was working. I told him it was now keeping the correct temperature, so we agreed to postpone any further work until the problem arises again, if ever. He said his warranty would cover me for awhile. His charge was reasonable, and his results were very professional. He is young and his demeanor is not too proud, so he quietly double-checked his recommendations before he called back. I recommend him highly to others, and would certainly call him again myself.

I was fretting over melting food in the freezer and Max picked up my call right away. He immediately assisted by general trouble shooting to rule out any possibility of an unnecessary charge. Surmizing he could help, he then offered an evening appointment arriving just a few hours later at 6pm. He quickly attended to a gap in the seal and righted the situation expediently without any crazy up-charges that can be the case with appliance repairs. I found Max to be very knowledgable, cordial and pricing completely fair. For excellent service, I highly recommend “Good Guys Refrigeration”

Do not hesitate to call Good Guys Refrigeration. Max is an experienced, efficient, funny, and thoughtful fridge whisperer! We had a wonderful experience with him. On a Saturday morning, Max showed up <1 hour after a frantic call about a newly-purchased GE refrigerator that would not cool. Within minutes, he was able to diagnose the issue with the refrigerator (a broken control board) and refer us to a store to purchase a new part quickly and easily. Two days later, when we had gotten the part, he installed it in less than five minutes. And for all that, he charged an incredibly reasonable price. But more importantly than the encyclopedic refrigerator knowledge, punctuality and professionalism, and affordable prices, Max brings a great deal of laughter, honesty, and compassion wherever he goes. I promise you: this will be the most fun refrigerator repair experience you could ever have.

Max came out same day with diagnostic equipment. Warned me upfront that the compressor was likely dead, which would probably mean a new fridge. Happily the compressor tested good, he topped me off with Freon, make a few other tweaks in the equipment compartment, and now 24 hours later the ice cream is hard again. A little about Max - he's nothing short of a wizard, who knows his stuff inside and out, a rare find in these days of big appliance repair businesses that route you through phone trees and service managers. Max answers his own phone, and in my case provided a quick diagnosis and advice over the phone. And if he doesn't know the answer, he tells you upfront and then researches it out to find the answer. Once he takes your project on, he's in 100%. This includes followup calls to make sure all is OK. He's not out to sell you on a big repair bill - he's out to get your problem fixed as quickly and affordably as he can, and to turn himself inside out for his clients. His company name says it all - Max is classic Good Guy.
