Bob did a great job. Personable, knowledgeable and really trustworthy. His prices were well below that of the competition and I’m not sure how because his product looks ten times better. I will gladly recommend Bob and his company to any friends and family.

It was perfect.

The first crew that came out wasn’t nearly as good as the second crew. The three men that came out on the second day were very nice, but had received no information from the first crew - so we had to go through everything all over again. That was not the fault of the second crew. Email/text was the easiest means of communication- as they were so busy they didn’t always get to phone calls.

They were excellent. Very informative, made suggestions to help us get the best fit for what we were looking for.

When the front gate was replaced, a chain saw was used to separate both swing gates. This left a very large gap between the two gates 1 1/2". When I look at my neighbors gate the GAP is barely noticeable and the BAD slats were not replaced. The two people who came to do the work were very well mannered. I tried to e-mail the project manager but got NO return calls ( he said all bad slats would be replaced upon completion of the work).

They did a great job! Prompt—-cleaned up and hauled all debris.

The fence looks great and the work was completed in a couple days. Good communication throughout the process. The installation crew was efficient and personable. The site was left clean both days. I would definitely call Good Neighbor Fence if more Fencing is needed.

I can't begin to describe how positive my experience was with Bob Stewart and Good Neighbor Fence company. From the very first encounter, Bob was a true professional every step of the way. His price was reasonable (You get what you pay for!), he didn't cut any corners, he worked with my schedule to find the best window of time for installation, Maurice and Vernon did a SUPERB installation and I couldn't be happier with my new privacy fence. The high quality of the products they used is evident. I have no doubt my fence will stand the test of time for years to come. Don't consider using any other fence company except Good Neighbor! They are kind, courteous and meticulous professionals who take pride in their work and customer satisfaction.

Received notice from city that backyard fence damaged by fallen limb had to be fixed, received various estimates from fence companies which seemed excessive. Robert Stewart came out, gave me reasonable estimate and assured me the repair would be done by city due date, unfortunately bad weather held up work but company came and repaired in time. After initial estimate Robert called to say that cost might be more due to possible need to replace rather than repair gate posts and that was acceptable to me but they were able to repair gate posts, fence looks great and gate opens and closes properly and all for initial costs. I would recommend company without hesitation. Thanks for a great job.

Good Neighbor Fencing was a nightmare. Between the initial visit and completion, the job took over seven months. I was told initially that it would take two weeks once I signed the contract. They repeatedly postponed the start date, make promises they continually broke, and changed their schedule constantly. I requested a particular form of materials, and they ordered the wrong materials, delaying the work. Their equipment was inadequate for the job, and when their equipment broke, everything was delayed further. The workers never worked a full day—they rolled in after 10am, and left well before 4 pm. They rarely worked two days in a row. They insisted on showing up on Sundays regularly, without asking. They left their truck parked on my property for over a week without asking permission. They left garbage strewn everywhere for more than two months. There were empty concrete sacks, soda bottles, cigarette packs, wire, nails, pallets, tools, chainsaw blades and scrap lumber and debris scattered around my farm for the duration of the work. When I asked them to clean up the garbage, they only did half of it. They promised to not leave open holes on the property while working, to protect the safety of those on the farm, and they left dozens of open holes uncovered for weeks. When I covered the holes with pallets, they moved the pallets and left the holes uncovered a second time. They smoked continuously even when there was a no-burn ordinance in the county because of dry weather, putting the farm and animals at risk. They did not listen to my instructions about installing the gates, which delayed the installation further. They installed one gate in a hole so it could not open, and I had to spend two days and buy two new gates ($400) to fix the problem they created. The fence they built wobbles in some places and is not solid, and the wire is falling off after only a couple months. At the end of the project, the supervisor did not inspect the entire project, and never saw half the problems (the gate, the loose wire, etc). The owner demanded payment before all elements of the project were complete, and promised to come back two weeks later. They disappeared, did not call back, took the money and ran, and there are still piles of materials sitting right where they left them, months ago. I feel cheated, lied to, and deceived, and the fence they left will only create work, maintenance, and headaches for years to come. Do not use this company.

We are very pleased with the service we received from Good Neighbor Fencing. Bob Stewart was great to work with. He helped us select and design a fence that would work well in the space we planned to enclose. He also took notice of our dogs and suggested smaller spacing between the rails on the fence to be sure our smaller dog did not get out of the backyard once we had it fenced in. In addition to being very pleased with working with Bob, we were extremely happy with the installation that Vernon and Joe did. They were careful to ensure that the fence was installed properly and even went so far as to hand-dig the post holes so that they did not do any damage to our irrigation system and underground electric fence. All that said, my husband and I would recommend Good Neighbor Fencing without reservation.

Bob was responsive and friendly. The fence looks fantastic and is sturdy. Everyone in the neighborhood loves it and now our toddler can play back there without having to stress about him running onto the street!

The installers were excellent and professional. They suggested ways to get us the result we wanted allowing us to make decisions where necessary. The quality is even better than we hoped for. The salesman was very friendly, easy going, and not pushy.

Shane, Bob and their crew were great to work with. They came on time and worked long days in the dead heat of summer. We had a couple hiccups along the way tied to HOA guidelines, but Shane went the extra mile to ensure we were completely satisfied. The top of the fence floats with the landscape and looks great. At the end of the build he walked us all around the fence and talked through maintenance and upkeep. Very personable and great fence results!

This was a great experience with Good Neighbor. Right from the beginning we had difficulty getting quotes from several companies, but Good Neighbor came right out and gave a fair price and multiple options for us. We liked that they were willing to work with our budget and HOA requirements and did not push us always towards the more expensive options. They took care of all the pre-work for us (getting power lines checked, etc.) and when they came to install, the team was early each day, worked hard all day, and the finished product looks better than we hoped. If we have any fencing needs in the future we will definitely call Good Neighbor and highly recommend them.

It went great! They were punctual and did everything we wanted exactly as we asked for it. They fit us in pretty quickly as well. I would recommend them to anyone. Best price around too. I got another quote that was double the price.

I received quite a few quotes for installing my 400+ linear feet fence, but people came off as either pushy salesman or outrages estimates, and then I reached out to Good Neighbor Fence and met Bob Stewart. Bob is a staright shooter which I respect on many levels. He took the time to measure, and double check his measurements of my property. He also gave sound advice on the placement of the fence around certain areas of my yard. When the crew showed up to work the hit the ground rolling, and tackled the yard with no problems, even though my yard has hills and some unbelievable hard bedrock areas. The crew was respectful and kept me informed the entire time. They also cleaned up after themselves, and took the time to put the extra dirt the removed around my flower beds and trees. And understand these are custom built fences, not the sections you can buy from a hardware store. You can't get better then this. I admit I'm very detailed oriented, but Fence Me In didn't have quite the same attention to the little things that I did. The fence was installed on time and looks fine, but only after I had to point out a post that wasn't plumb, and a few other minor things that just weren't perfect. They did come back and fix most of the issues, but there are still a couple of minor things that aren't perfect. For most people, their quality of work would be fine, but for me they left me wishing they had the same very high standards that I do. I've had several neighbors ask if I would recommend them, and I've passed along their contact info with a honest recommendation that they were "OK". In my opinion, if you use them you'll get a decent job, reasonable follow-up, and a timely installation. Certainly not bad, but certainly not the very best contractor I've ever used. I struggled to answer the "would you hire them again?" question. The only choices given are yes or no, but I really want to say maybe. FYI, I got three bids for my fence project and they were the mid-priced bidder.

I contacted Robert Stewart from Good Neighbor Fence. At the time I was still residing in Tampa, FL. He assured me when I arrived in Beaverdam, VA he would have my fence up, and he absolutely delivered! He started when he said he would, the fence was as described and agreed upon, and he was absolutely the best! I highly recommend Good Neighbor Fence, and I will use Angie's list again!
