"To whom it may concern, We appreciate the opportunity to address this review despite its inaccuracies. Our technician clearly explained that the walls in the basement would need to be removed and that any patchwork would need to be done by others as we are plumbers, not carpenters. (You can listen below for yourself) Verbal approval was given as well as a credit card number for payment. The work was done in a timely fashion. Feel free to click the link below to listen to the initial call with our technician. (weblink removed) Here are a few important timestamps: 0:50 : Brian lets the customer know that to in order to determine the location of the leak, that he would need to open up the wall. 1:43 : Brian informs the customer that any patchwork would need to be done by others, not us. He also reminds the customer that we are plumbers, not carpenters. 3:12 : Brian explains that he will not do any work without first getting approval. 5:03 : Brian expresses that additional walls may need to be opened up in the basement depending on which direction the piping goes. 5:40 : Brian again states to the customer a second time that any patchwork would need to be done by others, not us, and reminds the customer that we are plumbers, not carpenters. 6:13 : The customer gives his approval for the search and discovery which entails opening up the wall under the sink to determine the severity of the leak. Regarding the second pipe break We used conventional repair efforts, and by no means are we responsible for a pipe breaking behind a closed wall [Member Information Removed] to 10 feet away from the area that we were working in. The pipe obviously failed due to its old age and weakened condition. Generally speaking when pipes fail unexpectedly due to old age etc. quite often the recourse taken by homeowners is to open up a claim going through their homeowners insurance. We informed the customer of the additional work necessary and again reminded them that wall repairs would need to be done by others, at which time they encouraged us to do the work giving us permission and stated that they would “consider” paying us for the additional work at the end. We didn’t want to leave the tenant without a functioning sink, so we did the second repair despite the lack of enthusiasm for additional payment. At this point we would like to receive the outstanding balance of $714.28. For what its worth, here is the second call, a 22 minute long arduous effort of our technician Brian trying to serve this customer. (weblink removed)"
