Hilltop Roofing is a boutique, locally owned roofing company located in Fort Worth.

Hi there, my name is Cahill Hooker & I am the President of Hilltop Roofing & construction ("HRC"). Thank you for visiting our page! HRC is a boutique roofing business that is structured to provide dedicated service to its clients. HRC is a low volume, high quality roofing business. Each of HRC's clients work exclusively me from start to finish. I have been a roofing contractor since 2018 and started remodeling homes in after the 2021 ice storm. We bring a broad construction knowledge to our roofing clients that allows us to serve you best. I am a proud member of the Roofing Contractor's Association of Texas ("RCAT") whereby I hold a Commercial and Residential Roofer License (CRRL #03-0552). In my career I have repaired and replaced each type of roofing system that is common in our region. I chose to work in this industry because : My first experience in the roofing industry was on the client side. That was a less than stellar experience. I chose to get into roofing to work as a client-first advocate, and to treat each house like its my own..

I am a senior woman and didnâ t know who I could trust to not scam me and take my money. Cahill walked me through everything. He even read the contract with me and answered my questions. He also called my HOA to make sure the color i choose was permitted. He was amazing! On the day his team showed up, he even explained to me what was happening and what would come next! Criminal Background Check

Who does HomeAdvisor background check?

The owner or principal of each business in HomeAdvisor's network (with the exception of Corporate Accounts) must pass a background check. Unfortunately, we cannot perform a background check on every employee of a business—the background checks are performed only on the owner or principal. As always, we recommend that you conduct your own research on the businesses you hire, including making inquiries directly with the businesses regarding their employee background check policies.

What does the background check cover?

We use a third-party vendor to conduct a criminal records search in the county in which the business owner or principal works. Our third-party vendor uses a national criminal database ("NCD") to screen service professionals. Business owners or principals with felony arrests that carry a pending decision or who are convicted of felonies in the past 7 years ago will not be admitted to the network. Businesses or owners convicted misdemeanors or felonies, or who have dismissed charges or arrests on their records involving rape/incest, sex offenses, or lewd and lascivious behavior at any point in time will not be admitted to our network.

Our background check does not exclude service professionals unless the crime at issue is a felony.

*The comprehensiveness of the NCD varies by state. Please be aware that the reporting in the NCD is particularly limited in the following states: AL, CO, DE, GA, ID, IL, KS, LA, ME, MA, MI, MS, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, SD, UT, VA, VT, and WY. After initial admission to the HomeAdvisor network, businesses are re-screened if a concern is reported to HomeAdvisor.

Corporate Accounts

Some businesses are employees, franchisees, dealers or independent contractors ("Corporate SP's") of larger national or "Corporate Accounts". When this is the case, we may match you with the Corporate Account or with one of their Corporate businesses. The above screening process does not apply to Corporate Accounts, as HomeAdvisor does not screen Corporate Accounts or Corporate businesses.

Verify Trade License HomeAdvisor checks to see if the business carries the appropriate state-level license. Verification of State Business Filings For business types that require a Secretary of State filing, we confirm that the business is in good standing in the state in which it is located. Criminal Records Search HomeAdvisor uses 3rd party data sources to conduct a criminal search for any relevant criminal activity associated with the owner/principal of the business. Sex Offender Search We confirm that the owner/principal is not listed on the official state Sex Offender web site in the state in which the owner/principal of the company is located. Bankruptcy Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the history of the principal/owner of the business for bankruptcy filings by or against them. Legal Search for Civil Judgments We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for state level civil legal judgments entered against them. Liens Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them. Identity Verification (SSN) HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup) We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
