I do not write customer reviews, but I am writing so that at least some of the future customers will get a sense of what they are getting into when you work with Grade A Plumping. I am writing this with utmost frustration and disappointment with the service I received from Grade A Plumping. I have a home warranty insurance with American Home Shield, and in the last week of December 2020, I put a service request for a faucet repair and water leak in the kitchen. A technician from Grade A Plumping was assigned, and he came the next day and after inspection said that the damaged part must be replaced. He placed an order for replacement, and I got the part only after 2 weeks. The technician came back on January 12th and this time told me that they got the wrong parts. He said that he is going to re-order the whole faucet to fix the damage. To be fair, the technician who came was very professional. Since I did not get any status update after 10 days, I called the Grade A Plumping office multiple times, many days, left messages, no response at all. I called AHS and they told me that Grade A Plumping has ordered the part to my house and I should get that very soon. Since I didn’t hear anything again for the next few days, I called Grade A Plumping on a daily basis and they never picked up the phone, I have called at least 10 times. Finally, I directly called the company that is supposed to send the faucet part and they said that they cannot see any new order for the faucet parts. I was told by AHS that faucet part has been ordered by Grade A Plumping and the issue will be resolved very soon but Grade A Plumping had not even placed an order for the damaged product. Now it is more than a month, and the damaged faucet is still not fixed, and water is still leaking. I am trying to get a new contractor to get the faucet damage fixed. Please do your research before requesting a service from Grade A Plumping, no wonder they have so many F ratings in Angies list. I did not choose these guys, but I had to deal with them as they were assigned to me.
Response from Grade A Plumbing Inc
"So we understand that your frustrated with a couple items that occurred, but to be clear we did not complete this repair because you canceled it. We also did not charge a single dollar because it wasn't completed. You would call and complain about your item taking too long to arrive because we provided tracking and the USPS was taking too long. I'm not sure what Grade A Plumbing could have done to help you with that situation but we do not run the post office. Now that being said your item was under your MANF warranty which is why you didn't need to pay for the parts. Your manf sent the wrong parts, which happens sometimes, and Grade A Plumbing STILL has no control over that. SO to be clear you called to complain multiple times that your Manf was taking too long to get you a part, and that once it shipped the Post office took too long, then you were made at Grade A for your manf mistake, AT NO POINT did you agree to just have the item replaced, because you would have had to pay for that. So we did all that work and came out to your home twice without charging you a single dollar."

The technician came during the window of time that I was told. He came wearing his mask! He repaired the water heater quickly, showed me the part that was replaced, and explained the purpose of the repaired part. I’m very satisfied.

Grade A replaced my hot water heater which they did a fine job with. I had made arrangements for my trash collector to remove the old water heater for $20. Grade A techs literally threatened to remove the new water heater if I did not allow them to take away the old heater for $125! Management never replied to my emails or phone calls. I checked with my township and other local plumbers to see if there was some sort of ordinance as Grade A claimed but there was none. So it must have been some sort of scam to make additional fee since this was a home warranty (AHS) Service.
Response from Grade A Plumbing Inc
"We do the entire job from start to finish. You do not get to pick and choose what we will do when it comes to the safety of our techs and the public. We remove the old waters and we take them with us and dispose of them properly. This was told to you in detail prior to scheduling the install of your water heater. We did not claim it was and ordinance we have always stated it is our company’s policy. There is no scam here. Your warranty plan with your third party did not pay for that portion of the job. Most plans that we come across do pay for that portion. That is something you would need to take up with the warranty company you purchased your plan from."

Technician flat out lied on the report that I stated son flushed "non flush-able wipe" in toilet that caused back up. I stated flush-able wipes were used, or could of been used. Technician was here 5 minuets, didn't even open sewage pump up. Stay far away from this company! Home warranty is being denied, because of a false report written. I am honestly in shock, that the plumber wrote the exact opposite of what I stated. I have a call into the owner of this company, as I usually don't take time to write reviews. Also, tried the plumbers cell and it went to voicemail.
Response from Grade A Plumbing Inc
"No one flat out lied to anyone. You can not put wipes into a sewage ejector system. It will break the sewage pump. A simple google search will yield many many articles saying the same thing. You are trying to get someone else to pay for your pump that you broke. Unfortunately they wont do that. We tried to work with you and reason with you but obviously that wont work either. Best of Luck."

Horrible. Tech came out . Told me nothings leaking . He was in my house for total 6 min. i told him my separate bath tub was leaking when I ran the water. He told me my shower grout could be the problem. My bath tub is separate from my shower. I went upstairs to run water From tub to show him it was leaking when i came down stairs he left. Water leaking like crazy. He was not here to help. His attitude was so dissociated from his job. I would never use them by choice. Maybe they treat people like this when you Are using your home warranty service. I waited three weeks for them to come out for a 6 min visit. He entered my house with the nastiest boots. No shoe coverings. Thank God he had a mask on. When I called company to talk about the situation I was put on hold for 45 min then hung up on. When I called back i was put to through to an answering service several times. Service sucks

AHS contracted Grade A plumbing to replace our leaking water heater. Grade A tech came up with additional charges of $390. (replacing shutoff vale, he called code upgrade $250 and adding flexible gas pipe, he called it gas line modification.) The worst part is that he put in to replace pressure tank which is completely functional and only a few months old. This is fraud, he is charging AHS to replace parts that are functional. The rep called and told me she will not schedule replacement unless we agree to pay $390 in addition to replacement fee from AHS. I asked to speak to the manager, she refused and told me manager does not discuss prices. Tech refused to stop the leaking water heater and told me to do it myself.
Response from Grade A Plumbing Inc
"Unfortunately some items are not covered under some warranty plans. We do not work for them directly and have no say over this. We call in everything we see that needs to be replaced. You don't need to worry about the expansion tank that needed to be replaced the warranty company understands fully why and when we replace them, they are perfectly fine with us doing it and you don't need to worry about what they are paying for. But you also didn't want to pay for anything that wasn't covered, which is why we didn't do your work. Your welcome to use any plumber you would like, just contact your warranty company and they will walk you through the steps. Best of luck."

Grade A Plumbing is not reliable if they need to return to fix an issue. The first appointment I made on April 28, 2020, Ken came out and was great. He came out and repaired the one leak under my kitchen sink and said that the second leak and faucet issue will be fixed when they replace the faucet. I asked if they could let me see the one that they would be ordering so that I didn't have them show up and say after the fact that I did not like it. The one that was shown to me was not the right faucet type. I called and left more messages than one should ever have to for a contractor to come out to finish the repair. I called my home warranty, AHS (they are equally terrible), who also reached out to Grade A Plumbing who said they were going to reach out to me, that never happened. Then in the beginning of May, I finally spoke to someone, Crystal, from Grade A Plumbing but she was absolutely horrible and rude. She said that the notes said that they were waiting to hear from me to order the faucet when I went to explain to her that is not correct and no one has returned my call and the faucet that they showed me wasn't the right one, she started yelling at me, telling me that she just returned from being out of work, something about her boss, and a pregnancy. How is any of that my problem?! On top of which it is absolutely unprofessional. I ended the call because it was completely uncalled for! I also couldn't help but think given what is going on around the world right now, you should be happy and grateful that you were asked to return to work, myself and million of Americans have not been that lucky but you're right you returning back to work and issues with your boss is definitely more important than my leak when you are a plumbing company. No one ever reached out to schedule the appointment. It is May 19, 2020 and I still have the leak and issue with my faucet. Thankfully, I have a new contractor coming out so I can be done with Grade A Plumbing. But beware....do not use this company!
Response from Grade A Plumbing Inc
"Sorry for the long wait on a non emergency call during a pandemic. That being said the fact that Kristin (not Crystal) was explaining to you that she couldn't get the information from her boss Adam at that exact moment because he was in the hospital dealing with his child being born, and even though "its not your problem" you would need to wait for her boss to give you call back about the confusion. You chose you wanted to escalate a situation with a dispatcher that couldn't answer your questions. You didn't want the builder grade faucet that your home warranty provided, and your allowed to choose a different faucet at your cost, all of which was explained to you by Ken originally."

New kitchen was done over by Artisin Contractors that I would not recommend to anyone. New kitchen sink was installed by them and was not done correctly. After months of leaks and water telling them they need to get a real plumber at my house and not a carpenter to fix a plumbing problem he finally called Grade A and got me a real professional plumber. His name is Roy and very professional and knew exactly what the problem was. Roy fixed the problem. He respects your home, when he interned my home he covered his shoes. Very nice man. Thank you.

Quite well! Grade A Plumbing responded on the same day as the follow up call. In addition to the toilet tune up, a water pressure check was completed free of charge. The water pressure was fine. The complete job was completed within one hour. I have used Grade A plumbing prior. I highly recommend this provider.

Never use this company. If you want to be overcharged and insulted at the same time call Grade A. They didn’t want to do the work and help. Unprofessional in every way. Walk through your house in their shoes and track mud in everywhere. Horrible customer service. I could go on.
Response from Grade A Plumbing Inc
"This is a completely false review. Everything from the name ( which is not the customers) to the address (which is not the customers) is FALSE. This customer made up a story because we left several estimates that they didn't agree to. We did not work for this customer as they did not agree to have us do any. The "horrible" customer service is that we said we wouldn't work for free. The real issue here is this customer thought someone else was paying for their repairs and that didn't happen. SO now they are trying to use forums like Angie's List to get us to do the work for free. Unfortunately there are people like this in the world but we hope our customer can see through this."

It was okay the first time. The gentleman came out and fixed my kitchen sink. The job cost $150 which was pricey but I needed it fixed. A week later the leak came back because the plumber admitted he forgot to do a step while fixing it.

I couldn't ask for any better service. Roy came out very quickly. He was professional (even wore shoe covers). He fixed everything for a very reasonable price. If he is an example of the others that work at Grade A, people would be foolish to look elsewhere for quality work. I will definitely be using Grade A Plumbing in the future. They are exceptional.

Randy and Corben were friendly, professional and knowledgeable. This is probably the 3rd time Randy has done work here as he is the team leader. Always knows exactly what to do and finds a way to complete the job successfully. We are very pleased. We ask for him if possible from home warranty. We know it will get done right. We love American Home Shield. They are responsive and jobs that might cost tremendous amounts, cost us 75.00 for a service call and still gets done properly. A few years ago they replaced a water heater that my neighbors paid $1900.00 because it was an odd brand the condo made us replace when it went bad. What a savings!! I feel good and protected by them.
