Graf Tree Care

Still have a contract with them via our Home Owner's Association, but as a member of the landscape Comitee I am dissatisfy and highly suspect of the chemicals they use and the rationale they give for using them. They always seem to be the lowest bidder on jobs. So if $ is your only concern, then Graf is the company for you.

Chris Scott stopped by the day after I called for an estimate and said that he could remove the dead Ash and a couple smaller shrubs for $650.  This was around the same quote or lower than other quotes I'd received and he said they could do it the next day. I agreed and the team arrived early and got started.  It took about 3.5-4 hours to cut down and grind up the dead Ash but the crew was quick and friendly.  Luis was the crew leader and he came over to say hi to me and my toddler when we went outside to watch toward the end.  I would highly recommend Graf and will be calling them again. <br />

We were very pleased with Graff Tree Care. Upon receiving our call in May, Chris came out the next day and looked at our two trees. He offered his thoughts on options and left some materials for us to review. He was patient in explaining what he saw, and what the different signs of the EAB meant. We ultimately chose to have them treat two trees, and will look to use them again in the future. <br />

Fanntastic - they gave me a very fair estimate - better than their competitors. Sent a crew of two young men who were very punctual and did a great job of removing branches and cleaning up aftter themselves. <br />

They were very professional and very concerned about trees in general. They did a great job removing and cleaning up afterwards. Their estimate was right in the ballpark of what I thought it might take to do the job. <br /> Definitely would recommend. I'll definitely work with them again. We have an ash tree that may have to come down in the near future. <br />

It went great. They were very knowledgeable, professional, courteous and showed up right when they said they would. Also they were very respectful of my concern for my dogs and called before they came each time so that I could make sure my dogs were not outside when they called. Most important, they showed up at exactly the correct time of tree budding and my trees had the healthiest summer they have had in 7 years as a result. My experience with another A listed company was not that great and all the leaves fell off my crabapple mid summer when the other company sprayed. When Graf took care of the tree the leaves showed absolutely no sign of disease all summer and the tree held onto the leaves until they changed color in the fall.

Phil Graf did an estimate of all the work (seven trees in all). At the time of the estimate he also gave me advice about a sick ash tree and some plants that might be affecd\ted by a neighboring walnut tree. A week later the work was performed, and all branches and twigs were completely cleaned up and hauled away. I reviewed all seven trees, and the job was very complete. I plan to call Graf Tree Care back in the future for this kind of work or tree removal. <br />

It was a great experience in terms of customer service from the day they responded to my request for an estimate through the completion of the work today. When I reached out for the estimate, they responded quickly and promptly sent a quote. Given that some of the trees required servicing while dormant, they recommended doing all the work between November and February and the price would be discounted as the work would be performed off season.. It was a one day job and every tree looks great. Compared to another company that I used about 4-5 years ago, the price was much better and the work was of a higher quality. I would highly recommend this company to others. <br />

Graf Tree Care operates very honestly, and they don't attempt to sell unnecessary services. Furthermore, their pricing is fair.

When we moved here into our house last May the previous owner left a quote for tree feeding service from the tree company they had used. I was overwhelmed at how high it was and was not sure how many of the trees really needed treating. I called Graf and their inspector promptly scheduled an appointment. He walked our grounds with me and discussed what if anything was wrong with each of our trees. For a number of trees, he did not think I really needed their service (unlike the previous owner's company that wanted to treat everything!) <br /> <br /> Since I was concerned about our Ash, I had him treat it right away. He then sent me a quote for other services with no pressure whatsoever. This spring, they sent me another contract to have our Ash treated with a pre-pay discount. <br /> <br /> The company is small, but responsive and very professional.

Chris Scott, the arborist, came out to give us an estimate to remove several trees in late summer/fall. We asked if we could schedule after the holidays and they were very receptive and cooperative. Chris and his team were out early on a windy day in January and removed 7 trees. They did an excellent job. No damage was done to our landscaping or home and their cleanup was very thorough. Their pricing was lower than others I had called. I would use them again.

So far one treatment is completed. The worker was polite and did a professional job. After searching for a dependable tree service, I have finally found one.

They are willing to answer questions and when they are on premises they always check in with my wife and me and they explain what they are doing. The pricing is pretty similar to others that I have used in the past. They were out quickly in the spring after I got a late start in finding a service to treat my apple tree. Good follow up to phone calls and they made themselves available according to my schedule and took care of my tree. To put it in a nutshell they were sensitive to consumer needs. I

They were good. I got them from Angie's List. They were very professional. They were true arborists, not just guys that come around and trim trees and knock down limbs. The guy that came was trying to talk us out of the one that we were trying to take down. There was nothing wrong with the tree. There were physical reasons why we needed to remove it. They were so into trees that they were disappointed that they had to take it down. They are very much tree professionals. They gave me a quote which was approximately what I was expecting. They were right on with the price I was expecting. When they came out, they did a very thorough job of carefully taking down the tree that we had removed and also removing branches from other ones. They cleaned up after themselves and did everything exactly as you would want. It was a good experience. We may have to take another tree down at some point and I will be calling them myself again.

We like them and always use them. They are reliable, knowledgeable, and are very prompt.

The professionals at Graf did an exceptional job of trimming 4 large trees, plus installed safety cables in a huge sugar maple. When they were finished, they cleaned up all trimmings and left our yard in great condition.

Phil was very quick in responding to my phone call. He was able to meet with me the next day. Phil evaluated our tree and provided us with our options. Because it was fast growing, it would most likely cause us problems for the next few years and MAY have lasted maximum 5 years. We decided to have it removed, after contacting an additional arborist for an evaluation (who was only 50 dollars cheaper for removal and recommended trying to treat it first) Phil gave us notice the day before removal. The removal crew was very professional and productive. They did a superior job of removing stump and roots. They even removed a small remainder of a tree from our neighbors yard, as well as pruned a tree leaning onto our house, "while they were there". During the tree evaluation, Phil also noticed an ash tree in our backyard. He has begun an extensive 5 year treatment to prevent the ash borer. He also was able to treat 3 of our trees at the same time, of other bug infestation. We will continue to have Phil maintain our trees and use him for any of our future needs.

I called Phil Graf after the storm; he came out within a day or two (as scheduled), and provided a prompt verbal estimate for trimming the damaged tree. He also walked through my yard (at my request) to look at several other trees that needed attention. He gave knowledgeable advice, and provided a written estimate for additional work. He called later that week to explain that due to the storm and the subsequent bad weather, his crew was busier than planned and running behind on the calendar. His crew came a few days later to trim the tree while I was away, but the work was done well, and fully cleaned up. The invoice came a little later than expected, but matching the verbal estimate. Overall, his cost seems a little high to me, but the quality of the work is excellent. I have not had the additional work done yet due to my own budget limits, but will do so later this year.

From the estimate to the service itself they were responsive and professional. I would recommend them to anyone looking for this type of service.

I contacted them through Angie's list and they promptly gave me what a detailed assessment of the state of my trees. Soon thereafter, they started treatments and my trees have looked much better since then.

They are very clean and professional. There is not a leave behind when they are gone. The quality of their work is good and I have been satisfied with their service.
