There was a section of vinyl caulk that was installed between the backsplash and the counter. The caulk was old and deteriorated and became dis colored and did not cure. Since the problem was caused by the initial installation, Granite Transformation should have corrected the work under warantee. In fact, they want to charge me a service call. Since they did not stand behind their work, I would not recommend them. I had to call them back to repair plumbing problems, They failed to plug in the refrigerator completely. Beautiful job, but for &7,000 they should stand behind their work <br />

They were probably a little bit more expensive but they were in and out in two days. They were fine. The pricing was kind of high but I needed the service done. They were excellent for me.

Good responsive employees. Price even with big deal came out high than what I would have liked. But countertop looks awesome. Backsplash also looks nice but there are very tiny scratches within the product. <br /> First appointment for selecting the product. Then one more appointment (within weeks) for measurements and another one for installation. Backsplash was done the next day.  Overall, satisfied with the looks and functionality of the product. <br />

I had been considering regular slab granite countertops to dress up our kitchen and get the house ready to sell, then met with the owner of the shop in Morrisville, who came out and gave me lots of great information that I hadn't gotten anywhere else, such as the weight of slab granite, its relative brittleness, and risk that if something chips or stains one part, there's not much you can do to fix it other than replace the whole slab.  <br /> For those reasons, plus a deal I got through Angie's List, I went with Granite Transformations, and I'm extremely happy with the results. Not having the kitchen torn apart for two days, and having a great-looking result that's not going to put extra strain on cabinets that weren't originally built to hold slab granite, plus the better durability of these tops over slab granite, and the lifetime warranty on these, I would definitely consider doing this again for future houses. <br /> They did have to come back out a week after to re-caulk the sink as the caulk didn't dry (in over a day) before it got wet, and so wouldn't set up. I'm noticing some whitening of caulk next to the sink at the bottom of the backsplash as well, so I don't know if the caulk just wasn't a good bottle or what. I would recommend that if they don't cover it with some good painter's tape, that you do after it's been drying for a day, just to protect it from getting wet. <br />

Overall pleased with counters. They are beautiful and brightened the entire kitchen. Service was professional and timely. My only reservation is the price I paid, or the sense I didn't get as good of a deal as I thought I would when I purchased the Angie's list coupon for $2500 worth of services for $1000. I was a little she'll-shocked when I got the estimate and when I asked about the pricing model the consultant didn't explain it well. I tried to get a little more clarity about pricing per square foot and she said they don't price per square foot, but rather specs for the job. My final price was $4800, for roughly 37 square feet of granite (including backsplash). Take our $600 for undermount sink and plumbing, and $200 for taxes, results in roughly $108/sf. Considering the coupon value of $1500, the price comes out to around $67/sf. This is a fair price, but my issue is that I didn't feel that the estimate / pricing was transparent and didn't get much of a deal at the end of the day. So i initially had some buyers remorse.

Excellent job. Not cheap, even with Angie's List discount, but we are very happy. Even supplied a cutting board and trivets of the same material as a bonus. <br />
