Arrived at 7:00 am completed by 2:00 pm. Very polite, very knowledgeable, very professional appearance. Very patient, answered all my questions. Cleaned up after he completed the project. Marc H gave me a 5* service. JWD!

Paul came over early in morning and gave us a bid to install two ceiling fans and a bathroom light fixture. He said the fee would be $180 for each fan and $80 for the light fixture plus an $89 service fee. Bid seemed high, but he said he could do the work that day, so we went ahead. He was very professional and informative. Did the work efficiently and was courteous. The fans and lights work well.

Called Grasser and set up appointment to get bid on replacing old bathroom exhaust fans. Tech came out, looked at job, made recommendations, and gave bid based on what we had discussed. I decided to purchase my own fans so I could hear how quiet the fan was at a local supply house showroom. Purchased fans and called to set up appointment for installation. Tech installed fans. <br /> Person answering the phone at Grasser was very nice. Easy to set up appointment to meet my busy schedule. Tech showed up on time both times; was very nice and professional. Did a great job! <br />

He showed up on time and did everything I needed done. A very nice guy with a lot of experience.

<p>HIGHWAY ROBBERY!!  I needed an electrical outlet installed for a small heater in my office building and I needed it ASAP... I had previously called another electrician (with 35 years experience) who quoted me a price of $200 total, to install the outlet AND, to also install a ceiling fan.  Unfortunately, he was unable to get out immediately and I would have been waiting several weeks for the work to be done.  </p> <p>Based on the reviews on Angie's List, I scheduled an appointment with Grasser, who offered a more immediate date, though I ended up still waiting several days before the work was appointed. </p> <p>The Grasser electrician arrived early; he was professional and experienced.  Once I explained what I needed, he returned to his truck for quite some time and worked up a bid on his Ipad.  Perhaps using this kind of technology explains the quote I eceived...  $89.50 for the service call plus $250 to run a wire and install a basic electrical outlet...having the fan installed would have been another $250 to $300+ and the fan could not be done that day...I can only assume that returning to install the fan would have required another service call fee.  Cha-ching!</p> <p>I declined on the fan and allowed the electrical outlet to be installed but I was kicking myself the entire time because I felt totally taken advantage of.  Moreover, if the actual electrical work that was done took 45 minutes, I'd be surprised.  Once the job was completed, it was another 10 minutes waiting on the transaction to be entered into the Ipad and for the charge to be called in to Grasser's main office--I just hope no one in my reception room memorized my Visa number which was read out loud by my electrician.  And with the Ipad technology, why he didn't use a Square card reader that could handle this transaction immediately and silently?!?</p> <p>I wonder if a male customer would be treated differently?  Given a more reasonable quote?  A woman with her own business is vulnerable to exploitation, and in hindsight, I should have just shown Grasser the door.  My bad, however, for being impatient... Hopefully, someone can learn from my mistake:  I should have declined the estimate and waited for the first electrician I'd contacted.  Who, I might add, didn't have an Ipad...just a pen and a pad of paper!   Which he's been using for 35 years!  Amazing!</p> <p>Bottom line--Unless you have an abundance of cash you can afford to expend on electrical work, find another company to hire. </p> <p><br /></p> <p>TJDorey</p> <p><br /></p> <p><br /></p> <br />

Very Well...Electrician was on time...diagnosed problem  (loose wire inceiling fixture)    Pulled fixt. from ceiling and re-tightened loose ground wire.....replaced fixt and light now works!!     Very Professional and knowlegeable.   Would not hesitate to refer or to be a repeat customer. <br />

<p>Paul Garman did an excellent job. He had to cut two small holes in our ceiling. They were easily covered by two small rectangular plates matching our white ceiling. They are not noticeable. Other than that he ran a circuit from a closet containing our main panel to our kitchen above our stove.  In a previous visit to give us an estimate he also installed a new aluminum rated receptical in our bathroom for $154 parts and labor. We made 7AM appointments. His truck was standing outside in our parking lot by 6:45 AM both times.</p> <br />

Things went great with them and we are still using them. As soon as our bar is installed, they are going to finish up the electrical work. They were fast, reliable and really nice people. They were also on time. We got bids and they had the lowest bid.

The technician was available earlier than scheduled, so we were thrilled to have the problem solved at an earlier time after their call.  He was very efficient, knew exactly what needed to be done and did it very timely.  He was very professional and friendly.  The cost for the time was rather steep, but this is to be expected from a professional electrician.  Will use this company again if needed.  Feel that they are very knowledgeable and professional. <br />

They did a really good job. They are on time and they finished the job on time. The prices are fair and I just have to call them back.

I had a great experience with them. Their bid was right in the middle where it should have been. The guy who showed up had estimated for 5-6 hours worth of work, and he ended up staying here for almost 9 hours, but they didn't charge me extra for it, and I was happy about that. He was able to run the wiring where I wanted it to run. There weren't all the cables showing and he was able to stick it through my wall, and that is why he ended up staying here for so long. I was really happy with the service. My biggest thing was that the guy stayed until the work was done, he didn't say he would come tomorrow even if it meant working overtime.

From my initial phone call to the actual work everything was great.   I spoke to a lady named Pam who answered all of my questions about the company and set me completely at ease.  She had a great sense of humor and had me laughing in no time!  When the technician showed up (at the time that I was told he would!)  he went over the entire job step by step as to what would go where and why he would have to do it that way.  Including putting an outlet in the wall for the lights, he completed the job in a little less than 6 hours.  When he left the room looked as good as when he got there, actually better with the new lighting!  In general a fantastic job from start to finish.  It is a pleasure to know that companies like them still do exist. <br />

We are converting our electric stove to a gas stove and needed to add 120 service .  We called the office to schedule an appt.  The technician showed up on time was was very quick to perform the work.  We have used Grasser for projects at three different homes over the past 10 years because they are quick, professional and the fairly priced. <br />

Tom from Grasser Electric came out to give me an estimate on replacing my Federal Pacific 100 amp electrical box with a new 200 amp box. He explained the new electrical code and the requirements to elevate the power lines by putting a mast on the roof through the house soffit, as well as the requirement to move the outside meter three feet from the windows; facts which I confirmed with Ameren. Other electrical companies from whom I received bids did not seem to be aware of these new code requirements! Tom was very knowledgeable and explained the options for a new 200 amp box. I chose the more expensive box with the lifetime warranty and surge protection. Although Grasser does not advertise an Angie's List discount, Tom offered me a 10% discount if I signed a contract with him that day, which I was willing to do. The contract also included a free one year Electrical Safety First Program including discounts on other electrical services, replacing batteries in smoke detectors, and free inspections of my existing electrical work. The office staff was very friendly and was able to answer any questions that I asked during the scheduling phone call. The installation was scheduled at my convenience. <br /> Tom arrived on time on the scheduled appointment day, and worked for eight or nine hours in the 90 degree heat to complete the installation in one day. He was able to work around some tall bushes that were close to the outside meter, using some string to move them out of the way, rather than cutting them down. The work was completed in a professional manner and there was no debris left at the work site. The office staff, Pam and Bix, were very helpful in scheduling the initial appointment and the required St. Louis County inspection and the subsequent Ameren follow-up.  I would recommend this company without reservation.
