Work done professionally. Mike knows his stuff. Only reason I marked 1 star off professionalism is that he forgot to put back dirt in areas he had excavated. I recommend him to anyone.

We got an estimate for grading, slab, drip foundation, and fence post removal. After the Graves slab installation went so poorly, we cancelled all but the fence post removal. During the first rain after slab installation we realized the slab was incorrectly sloped toward the house, so rainwater collected and flooded the porch. After telling the owner, he became agitated and tried hard to convince us that the slope was ok. He came out with some rented survey equipment to measure the slope and tried to convince us the slope was ok when a simple golf ball or a garden hose would easily shown it was inadequate. I got several estimates from cement contractors to remove and re-install the slab which all ended up being less than just the installation by Graves! All of the contractors agreed that the slope was not correct and not per standard practice. I had the slab removed and re-installed by a reputable concrete company and am very happy with the their job. Other issues- they broke a sprinkler line during fence post removal and had to shut off water to the house. The problem came when they had no urgency to fix the pipe and restore water to the house. Also, good luck getting them to answer the phone- which is odd because the seemed to always be on his cell phone on the job. Their ONLY redeeming quality was that they refunded the money for the slab, however their mistake put us way behind on our landscape plans and we are still catching up.

"Yes, this job did not go according to plan. Yes, we did pour the slab wrong. It was an oversight on my part (the owner). Yes, we rented a $1,000 transit and I agreed to meet with the homeowner so that we could shoot grades to see where the problem was. We met and determined that the concrete was bad and I agreed we would fix it at no additional cost. Our guys then came back and saw cut the concrete to remove it. However, the rains moved in and the job became inoperable with heavy equipment without tearing up the yard. Because of the delay in the removal of the job, and because of our negligence on the front end...the customer requested a refund. We provided a full refund to the customer. We were extremely apologetic and Yes, I was very frustrated with the project. As an owner, I do not like making mistakes and with a simple grade check we could have avoided this issue all together. Yes, I made a mistake. I agreed to the homeowner that I made a mistake. In closing, I thought that we had talked through the issues and we resolved them to the best of our ability by offering a full refund to the customer. We had considered this matter closed and find this negative review a little shocking six months later. I even reached out to the owner to check in with him about this review this morning but did not get a response from him. The review was left by his wife whom I never personally dealt with."

The Tech basically turned on each station and as long as water was coming out he was fine with it He did not really make sure every head was spraying at maximum ability nor did he ever check the rotor zones to see if they needed any adjusting. Again as long as they were spraying water he was fine.. He did flag a couple of broken heads which I knew were broken, but the extreme cost to replace a head was not worth it. I said never mind I wil go get my shovel andl fix them myself which I did. I did bring to his attention a few heads where the nasal was slightly clogged or where we might need to try a different nasal to get better coverage but again the ridiculous cost $12.00 for a $1.29 part, I again said no thanks. Basically I wasted $66 and ended up replacing 3 heads and making other adjustments myself. <br />

I am unsure why you rated responsiveness, professionalism and punctuality as a C when our technician showed up on the scheduled date and time of the appointment and acted in a professional manner. In regards to the diagnostic, the deal you purchased off of Angie's List provided detailed information of what the diagnostic included. It included running through each zone, checking for breaks or leaks, making any minor adjustments if needed and programming the controller. He did a thorough check of the system and provided you with an estimate for needed repairs. The prices we charge for the repairs include parts and labor as we do not charge an hourly labor charge like most companies do. Our rates are very in line with our competitors and we strive to be competitive and fair. Additionally, our prices and repairs are warranted for 90 days. Again, I am sorry for your disappointment but feel confident in our pricing structure being competitive and fair."

The work went very well. They started some demo, then because of soaking rains, had to wait until things dried up. The owner kept in contact with me through the whole process, which was very nice. The work was then done over a two day period. Everything looked great, they even did a few extra things I had mentioned I'd like to have done - remove a large bush, my drainage concerns. <br /> I would highly recommend Graves. I feel that I got my money's worth and I'm thrilled with the end results. <br />

I am new to Texas from the northeast and didn't know what things would grow in Texas. Gentleman came out and spent about 45 minutes with me walking the yard helping me identify plants that would meet my needs. He also walked around and identified the plants I currently have and gave me suggestions on their well being and to get the most out of them. He wrote down an entire list of options that would work in our yard and gave me suggestions to where to purchase that would be more in-expensive than large chain stores. Overall very friendly and professional. <br />

It went great! They came when they said they would be there and came back each day until complete. Couldn't have asked for anything to run any smoother. All the guys on the job were very friendly and polite. Highly recommend if you want A++ landscape design and installation. Will definitely use them in the future! <br />

They were prompt. The guy was courteous and I enjoyed the service. He went above and beyond, because some of the stuff that he did for me on the lawn, he had to do some extra digging to make it look nicer. I actually recommended them to others.
