Everything about them was good, except for the price; it was high.  Their professionalism was good but we couldn’t negotiate on the price.  If somebody doesn’t care about the price, then I guess they would be the place to go.  They quoted me $20000, which was just too high, other than that they were great.  They seemed excellent, they came highly recommended to me by somebody, and I do think that they would have done a good job, if it weren’t for the high quote.  I would recommend you to get a quote from them, but to make sure that they understand what your expectations are from the job.  They were very professional and very upfront.  I called them and they were here within twenty-four hours and got back to me quickly with the quote, so it was just excellent.

We solicited quotes from 3 contractors around the middle of October. By early November I had narrowed my choice to Great Lakes Decking and Fence, LLC and started working to pick the specific decking and railing systems that would be installed. To reduce the cost of the project, the contractor gave me a deduct to remove the old deck and offered the use of his trailer and haul away of the old debris. The new deck was designed to fit within the footprint of the prior deck.  <br /> <br /> We agreed to the final price and the 1st materials were delivered around 11/21. The substructure of the deck was completed near the end of November and the "rough" inspection was  approved 12/5. Final measurements were taken and the deck boards and trim were ordered and delivered around 12/19. Unfortunately the railing order wasn't received in time for the factory to produce and deliver the railing prior to their Holiday shutdown. The railing system was ultimately delivered between 1/10-15 and was substantially installed by 1/20, with the final adjustments and parts being installed on 2/8. <br /> <br /> We were very impressed by the contractor's efforts to pay attention to the smallest installation details and to make sure the job was completed to our satisfaction. He was very easy to work with, and communicated updates regularly. Although, it probably took longer to complete than nornal, I believe this was due to his care in making sure everything was done correctly and we didn't really have any plans for our deck in the Winter months anyway. The deck was completed for the exact quoted price. <br />   <br /> We are thrilled with the look of our new deck! <br />
