We had really enjoyed the service of GN Pools under the former owner, Dana, but new owner who started last year overall disappointed us. <br /> First, the compliments -- everyone at the shop was friendly, the fellows who cleaned the pool did a nice job, and pool was clear all season.  Price of cleaning seemed industry standard for this area. <br /> However, early in the season the Polaris stopped working.   At first we thought it was a problem with the timer.   We had left this up to Dana to set so weren't familiar with how it worked.  The timer was replaced only after several weeks of calling, and even going to the business once to speak with an employee in person.  Once the timer was fixed, it became apparent that the Polaris itself was broken (not really sure if the timer was broken or if we just didn't know how to operate it).   Under previous owner, the guys cleaning the pool would have noticed this, alerted us (if we didn't already know) and offer to repair (which we would have done).  Instead, we called the shop three times over a few weeks with promises from staff to have the Polaris repaired, but nothing happened.  Then we went to the shop in person three times to ask to have it repaired -- speaking with the service manager on two of those occasions -- and no one ever came to repair it.  It finally got so late in the season, we couldn't really switch services or go elsewhere, so we just put up with no Polaris for the remainder of the season.   <br /> <br />

Service was ok, but many issues including not cleaning skimmers, pump filter, and had confusing billing system with mistakes. Office would always provide excuses instead of trying to accommodate customers.

<p>The pool deck and pool liner replacement were very good. However, a fountain was to be installed by a provider subcontractor. The fountain didn't work and was removed leaving a pipe sticking out of the cement deck. </p> <p>The concrete replacement on the driveway appeared to be very good but we found a 15 foot crack in the driveway. We contacted the provider, Great Neck Pools and have been promised that the driveway crack in would be fixed by replacing the concrete in March of 2014. </p> <br />

Great Neck Pools has serviced our pool for 6 years. They are reliable, knowledgeable, and so pleasant to work with. They are responsive whenever we need to change cleaning days or have a repair that needs to be handled quickly. I highly recommend Great Neck Pools! <br />

I bought a full cover from them and I work with them on the composition of the water in the pool. The chemicals and other things that I get from them are "as needed". They have an excellent service. They are professional workers and punctual. I continue to use them so I recommend them. Their price was competitive.

They did an adequate job. However, the pool was less clean than I had expected, and some items hadn't been hooked up. They did do a good job with balancing the pH, however.

Started out as a pool liner replacement and ended up needing concrete broken out to replace the light niche and had them move my ladder from one side of the pool to the other. The liner is beautiful, though there were sume bumps in the deep end and it took a long time to get them back to address those. Turned out it was soft dirt under the liner they were able to smooth out. We hired them early in the year (ordered liner in Feb. I think) and told them there was no rush, but we didn't get the job done until around the start of June. <br />

I can't say enough nice things about him. He is very hard working and the work is beautiful.
