Frank and his crew were very efficient and thorough.  Frank was very responsive and communicated well throughout all phases of the project, from the bidding process to completion.   They asked questions and gave recommendations along the way to make sure we had the best product possible after the job was finished.   The crew is very skilled at what they do; they produce very high quality work and were willing to put the time in to finish the job according to our schedule.  We would definitely recommend them to others for similar work. <br />

The company responded quickly to our request for an estimate. Frank reviewed what needed to be done and gave estimate on spot. He was knowledgeable and polite. His quote was reasonable. We had gotten three other estimates.  He showed up when expected, did the work to our complete satisfaction, and also fixed a crack in our retaining wall that he felt would be a problem down the road. We understand that ours was a small project, but we were treated as if it were much more. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.

Through Angie's list I contacted Greenfield construction company and met with Frank Fasolo. I had called Frank to look at my front steps which were beginning to crack and the brick work to loosen becoming unsightly and perhaps dangerous. After inspecting the steps Frank recommended not repairing but to replace. I was in full agreement with this and Frank gave me an estimate that I felt was fair and within the price range that I had anticipated. Frank arrived promptly and on time on the day we had agreed upon to start the work. As the demolition progress it was discovered that at the time of the original installation of the existing stairs the contractor had failed to protect the building with flashing. This failure caused the building and the supporting studs to become rotted and presented a dangerous situation which in the end would have caused an area of the front entrance way to collapse. Frank immediately took all necessary steps to repair and replace where necessary all the rotted wood and then installed flashing and took other steps to protect the building in the future. The additional work required us to negotiate additional costs which was fair and within reason. The stairs and walkway were then built in a workmanship manner. All work done by Frank was done in a very professional manner and all cleanup was done to my satisfaction. <br /> Throughout the entire experience I found Frank and his worker to be friendly outgoing and extremely pleasant people to do business with. I would highly recommend Frank to anyone who might be interested in any construction or building project. Frank was very helpful in finding a very capable ironworker to replace the hand rails and in following up to ensure that this work was done properly. Despite the difficulties we encountered when demolishing the old stairs, Frank's experience and assuring attitude kept me at ease. <br /> I will definitely be using Frank's services whenever the need arises.

Project Result: Excellent - far exceeded expectations. <br /> <br /> Frank Fasolo arrived early for our appt for an estimate.  We discussed the nature of the project: to remove all visible traces of the inground koi pond - bring all of the area (which included a raised garden bed) to grade.  He gave me a ball park estimate of the cost and said the project would take about 3 days to complete.  He followed up with an email outlining what we discussed. <br /> I made my decision to use Greenfield and emailed Frank.  We negotiated a bit,  made the date for the job to begin and the rest is history. <br /> Frank arrived with his worker on a Saturday morning with two jack hammers and immediately began working.  The process he outlined worked flawlessly.  He knew exactly where to start. The cement walls of the pond were on average about 1'6" thick and the depth at its lowest is 4'6".  He started with the "hardest first" and proceeded around the pond where the structure changed to an all tiled platform, raised garden bed and a waterfall. The objective was to bring down the pond to grade (1'6") and then another 1-2 feet below grade to be filled with topsoil.  The debris was to be left in the pond. <br /> There were a few unknowns that popped up - one example:  We knew that there was 'some' rebar but not to the extent we found once the work began.  We knew that there was a 275 gallon plastic drum filled with lava rock (for filtration) buried under the waterfall.  What we didn't know was that it was caged in steel and rebar!!  Unearthing the drum was probably one of the hardest parts of the project.  The steel/rebar was removed, the drum was cut to fold down on itself and then covered with debris.  The project did take 3 days to complete. <br /> The final result is a beautifully restored area of my backyard that is now suitable for planting or a patio or a stone grill or nothing at all.  By the way the clean-up was better than the way it looked before the demolition. <br /> Frank demonstrated great skill, experience and professionalism.  He was on site throughout the project and worked along side of his worker.  <br /> I almost forgot - Frank not only laid and compacted the topsoil - he voluntarily fenced in the area so that my dogs wouldn't be able to dig in the dirt. <br /> Greenfield deserves accolades for a job well done by an expert. Thanks a million Frank.  I'll see you soon to pave the walkway (once I find the bricks). :-)

Frank came on time on the date he told me he would. He and his workers got to work immediately, the workmanship was professional and by 3:30 P.M., it was complete. As rain was forecast, the steps were covered with a tarp. I am very pleased in every way.
