It started out ok. Energy audit went (almost) as planned. The man was punctual, and seemed to do a complete energy audit, (how would I know) but neglected to look at the crawl space under my home. I had to call him out a second time. Promised a quote to include under the house, and never heard back. Turns out he was no longer employed there, but the company never notified me until I made a return call a month after the second visit. I never received the audit report. <br /> The sent a 2nd man out to resume where they left off. He was very nice, but utimately let me know Greenhomes was an international company, not local as I had somehow assumed; I prefer to keep my $$ local. <br /> Just received a call from him today. (a month later) I told him I went with another company. I understand employee turnover, but a 10 second phone call from the company letting me know the circumstances would have been nice. <br /> <br />

I called Green Homes, Home Depot, and Comfort for estimates. Prices for Green Homes and Home Depot were nearly identical. Green Homes took more time to explain the features of the windows, show a sample, give considered opinons on options when I requested them, and didn't have extra costs that Home Depot did. I ended up cancelling the comfort estimate. I've used them before, and was happy to try someone else. <br /> They came out right away for the final measurement and gave a tentative date for install. I called a week or so later, and they confirmed the date, which was only about 3 weeks. Just after 5 on the Friday before the install I realized I never got a confirmation call, and they were closed so I couldn't call. But no worries, at about 8:30 Monday morning they pulled in. Jeff, Jeff, and Mark were great all day. They did the rooms that I needed done first first, and the room that I needed last last (moving some furniture around). They got the inside work on the 12 windows, including trim replacement, done day 1. Day 2 they arrived again about 8:30 and quickly installed the slider door, then began the outside wrapping. In the pouring rain. They're due back for about 1/2 day tomorrow to finish the wrapping outside. <br /> The windows seem like very good quality. They missed the grids on 1 window, but the guys knew it and told me as soon as they arrived on day 1. They installed the wrong window, and will be back out when the correct one is received. <br /> I wouldn't hesitate to call these guys again for service. <br /> <br />

There were two crews working at the same time. The insulation crew headed by Jim worked outside for three days in the extreme heat, the 2nd day hitting a temp of 101. They insulated inside and out and you would never know they were here. They cleaned up every last scrap and vacuumed all the residue. They were efficient, professional and personable to work with. The HVAC crew, Mike and Frank had to remove my cast iron furnace that the previous owners had set in cement; (the guys said it looked like the furnace was put in and the house was built around it!) It was quite a job getting that out of my basement but, they did it!. They were also very professional, friendly and answered all my questions with courtesey and information I could understand. They even programmed my thermostat and explained how I could change it if needed. I now have a high efficiency heating and air con system that should decrease my energy bills to a third of what I was paying and I won't have to freeze this winter. I would highly recommend Green Homes and will call on them again when I am ready to replace my old windows.

I like everything about them. The quality of their product is superior, their workmanship and everything from start to finish and from the salesman to the final installation, including the product was excellent, and I sent them a testimony of that. They are also expensive, but I got what I paid for. They will be doing work for me again in August.

Very responsive with energy testing and quick to schedule work. Work was done quickly with excellent work quality. A bit slow on the finance/billing side of things and to schedule the follow up energy testing but overall a good experience.

During the estimate, the representative was extremely thorough in analyzing the insulation and overall energy use. He also provided me with cost saving opportunities so the energy audit was free. I was happy with the solutions provided. Many did not involve any cost on my part. I decided to have them do the insulation. I needed a specific time several months later. They were accommodating to my schedule and arrived exactly when I wanted them. They completed the work in the time frame that was given to me. The workmen were punctual and polite. Each day they cleaned up after themselves. Some work had to be done later due to some necessary drying. This was done without much effort on my part. The chance for energy saving tax breaks was explained as well as current programs that gave me a discount. One such program had a glitch in it - it took 10-12 weeks. When I called the office 12 weeks later reporting that the rebate had not arrived, the staff got on the matter. I had my rebate in a few weeks. <br /> <br /> All in all, I am very pleased with Green Homes America. I have dealt with many home projects over the years and I consider them to be my best experience. I recommend them highly.

I dealt with Sears and Home Depot all morning trying to arrange for a same-day install of a new water heater. Sears didn't have the models in stock that they quoted and the quote at Home Depot kept changing and I was very dissatisfied with the second person I dealt with who seemed to be very slow and lacking in knowledge. In frustration and desperation, I called Green Homes and the person I dealt with (Maggie) was wonderful. She told me they could have someone out here by 3pm (I didn't call them until almost noon), she took basic information and gave me a firm quote that included everything (no extras or add ons).The truck arrived a little before 3. They discussed with me what they were going to do, told me they would be done in about 2 hours. In two hours, they were done, they installed a new water heater,installed a new shut off valve for the hot water, it was immaculate, the old one was gone, instructed me how to use it and that was that. It was one of the best experiences I have ever had from beginning to end. The price was exactly as they quoted. The guarantee was for two years labor and ten years parts - better than any quoted. I will use them again and absolutely recommend them. This is my first experience using a listing on Angie's List - that too was a good experience.

They were subcontracted to us through Window World. They did a good job. He showed up promptly on time and explained what he was going to do. He had no problem answering questions. He was done relatively quickly. He left the place spotless and you could not even tell he was here.

We had an excellent experience with Entherm. They did what they promised, when they said they would do it. I think we got even a bit more than was in the original estimate. I would highly recommend them for the type of work we had done.

They did a fine job of installing the windows. I used them before they changed to Green Homes, so I couldn t say how that is going now. Their prices were not the lowest and not the highest.
