We've had a wonderful experience working with them on various projects these last two years. We called Glenn to give us an estimate for a retaining wall replacement. He provided a quote for the job, but Glenn also offered advice for alternative options. We went with his vision to tear the wall down and simply regrade the slope and install a new lawn in it's place (where various brush/shrubs and pachysandra previously thrived). The difference is like night and day and we couldn't be happier, thanks to Glenn's vision. Not only was his recommendation a far better option, but he also saved us some money by taking his advice. Glenn and his men are easy to work with, and they take pride in their work. They don't leave until the job is done. We had the same experience last year when they built a beautiful foundation garden in front of the house. Once again, Glenn had the know-how and expertise to design and plan and offer his recommendations. He's professional and as honest as they come. We look forward to working with him again next year when we redo our driveway!

Fantastic! Griffin is affordable, fast, and very tidy. Anthony was my contact and he followed up with me and stayed in touch during and after the job. He found an odd bit of hard-to-find picket fence left over from another client, which I needed in addition to the chain link fence. It's nice to know your landscape company keeps an eye out for things you need, even when they're not on your property.

We are extremely happy with Griffin Landscaping. Our patio and fireplace area look so much better than I had hoped for. Glenn and his crew did a fantastic job. We had interviewed multiple landscapers and Glenn was the only one who came up with a great plan from our the first meeting. He came out several times after to refine the plan with us before his crew began and even during the work his guys worked with me to make adjustments when things didn’t look right to me. Very well. Glenn reviewed our yard within hours of my requesting a proposal and within a week we agreed on a price and his group completed the work. He listened to our comments and preferences and made great suggestions. His group worked efficiently and were easy to work with while they completed the plantings. They also did a good job cleaning up when finished.

Glenn was amazing! Professional, easy to talk to, quick, and made everything extremely easy. He is great at designing and selecting plants that fit the look I want. We can’t wait to have him back to do the rest of our yard.

Glenn Griffin and his team were outstanding. We had three sides of our house that needed landscaping. Glenn walked through the property with us and helped creatively design a layout. Since he owns Hilltop nursery he then walked us around and showed the plants and perennials to confirm what we liked. On the install date his crew showed up early with two trucks filled with plants and mulch and stone. Glenn was on-site directing them. In one long day they accomplished an amazing amount of work and completed the job. It’s great working with a group that owns a nursery because they brought extra plants and it was easy to pick and choose and change our minds through the process. The guys were all friendly and easy to work with. Glenn really takes pride in his work, loves the art of landscaping and has no ego about our changes and requests. We highly recommend them!

Anthony was very professional and courteous, and he kept in communication with us during the process to make sure we were happy. We needed a major overhaul of our yard and it came out beautifully. Workers were extremely meticulous and hardworking. Would highly recommend Griffins.

We had a recently renovated pool in our backyard and needed fence work and landscaping. Most companies have us. Long lag time to get this accomplished but griffins couldn’t have been quicker and more accommodating to our needs. The work quality was outstanding and done so quickly. Amazing communication with the person in Charge. We would use them again no questions asked.

Avoid Griffin's Landscaping. I paid more and got less than we had agreed on in writing. I later discovered that much of the work was done improperly. The main work item was a 4-foot-high retaining wall of mortared stone. Glen Griffin's proposal gave a fixed price for it (not a price per foot). Without consulting me, Griffin added $1,125 to the final bill, claiming that the wall turned out higher than he expected. During later excavation on my property, I found that the wall lacks the required concrete footing and the base is only a few inches below grade (see the photo here). There is also no gravel backfill behind the wall for drainage. These defects mean that the wall is prone to premature failure. The work plan also specified a "curtain drain" (a buried, perforated pipe surrounded with gravel) along one side of the house. I wasn't around when the workers installed it. Later, when digging in that area, I discovered that they had simply buried a solid pipe. During the project, I asked Griffin what he'd charge to prune branches on a large maple tree. He said he'd get back to me with the price. It seemed odd that he wouldn't say on the spot. The next thing I knew, the work was done, and there was a steep charge for it on my bill. When I first interviewed Griffin, he told me he had built the house's existing walkway for the previous owner. Later I took up some of the pavers and found that they were resting on dirt. The normal layers of paver base and bedding sand are missing.
