Grigore's Hardwood Flooring

Excellent! We bought a new home about a year ago and hired Grigore's Hardwood Flooring to refinish all the floors before we moved in. They did an excellent job. Recently we were working with a contractor to re-do our kitchen, which involved taking up a tile floor and putting down a hardwood floor. The guy the contractor was using was terrible!! He made a huge mess. I reached out to Grigore, told him our problem and that we needed his help right away. His answer? "No problem! We can fix this for you" and they did! They were very flexible, prompt and did a great job as before. I cannot speak highly enough about this company.

Excellent! We have just bought a new house and wanted the floors redone before we moved in. I worked with Gregore entirely remotely: spoke with him on the phone and told him what I needed done. He and his crew were able to begin quickly, worked well and did exactly what I wanted in short order. I trusted him to do the work with me not around, and he came through for me.

In December 2018 we contracted with Grigore Hardwood Flooring to install Brazilian cherry flooring in our foyer, after first removing 40-year old ceramic floor tile and the concrete/mortar base it rested on. The price was reasonable, and the result was outstanding! We began with inspections and quotes from Grigore and another flooring company with excellent reputation. Both companies responded promptly. Perhaps a significant reason we chose Grigore were the examples of decorative flooring shown on his website. We chose to have our dark Brazilian cherry highlighted by a border of the dark wood and light maple. The tear-out was more work than anticipated, but Grigore and his crew did a great job of preparing the new subfloor. Indeed, his carpenter who did most of the prep work and finished flooring was highly skilled and did excellent work. We could not have been more pleased.

These guys are great. Grigore evaluated the floor and quoted a fair price for refinishing the entire first floor and stairs. His super craftsman, Daniel was our main technician. They were on time every day during the process using a virtually dustless process. Our floors look beautiful again and I cannot say how happy we are with the finished product.

Grigore was very responsive and professional. He sent pictures as the work was being completed and gave us options whenever we were faced with a decision. He always listened and never pressed us to do something that was outside of our budget or that wasn't part of our vision for the end result. I would definitely recommend Grigore's Hardwood Flooring!

Finished all six rooms to a perfect updated color with no trace of transition! The best hardwood floor contractor ever! They worked extra time to get completed on time even after we added areas.

You can't tell what was new and what was original. They came when they said they would. The pricing was consistent with hardwood floor companies in the area. I have been very please with their work. So much so, that we had them return and floor an additional room. These guys are wonderful. The pricing was just under $11/sf.

Quality of work was very good. However, communication is difficult and we had several misunderstandings. First, the wrong finished was used. Grigore apologized and said he would apply the correct finish at the cheaper finish price. This pushed the completion date back a week, so had to reschedule other portions of our remodel. Once it was done, looked great, but then Grigore handed us a bill for the full amount of the better finish. He proceeded to tell us that he ended up putting 2 coats on so he needed to charge the higher amount. We ended up paying it, because it looked good and ultimately we agreed to pay it at the beginning. We were disappointed that this error pushed our completion date back and then he tried to make it right by giving us a discount, but didn't actually give it to us. Again, great end product but very difficult communication.

Grigore and his crew were unbelievable! The finished product was gorgeous. Their attention to detail, craftsmanship, and professionalism was far and above my expectations. They showed up on time every day, and completed the project three times faster than the other company I used to install my flooring downstairs. And to top it off, the were the most competitively priced company. Thank you Grigore and team for a job well done!

Grigore's people did a great job on removing my old carpet and installing new hardwood flooring in two large room's. They were very professional and ask me a few questions at the start of the job and proceeded to do a great job. I would recommend them for installation of wood flooring. They did not waste any materials and told me to only order 5% waste. I am thinking of having them do some refinishing on some existing floor based on the work they have done for other people I know.

It was wonderful.  He was very professional and curious.  He was able to work with me and scheduling very easy.  It took less then a week before he started up the project and only a few days to finish it all.  Great experience.

Our hardwood flooring was dark, badly scratched in a few areas, and had sun bleached discoloration in the dining room.  The living room carpet was dirty and ugly, and we much prefer hard surface flooring over carpeting.  Much of our furniture is large and heavy, including a piano and treadmill.  Grigore came and measured the rooms, assuring us that his men could and would move the furniture for us.  Grigore was prompt at sending us an estimate.   <br /> We did the project in 2 phases; first the hardwood floors, then the laminate.  Within a few days, Alex and Vadim began work on the floors.   <br /> The young men were professional, courteous, and respectful of our home and the things in it.  They moved items with care and without causing scratches or damage.  All base molding was painted after the flooring was finished.  The hardwood flooring is gorgeous!  <br /> Grigore brought samples of high quality laminate flooring, and within a few days of our choice, his men were back to replace carpet in my quilt studio (a large room with 2 longarm quilting machines) and our exercise room (where the treadmill and other things live).  They did both rooms, start to finish, including painting the base molding, in only one day.  It was a long day for them, and we were happy to let them work until nearly 8:00 PM to finish. It is all too rare to see such diligent workers, and it is a pleasure to give my enthusiastic recommendation to this company. <br />
