Ground Control Property Maintenance

I had hired ground control to install a sprinkler system and sod. My neighbor had used them for the same. When his sprinkler system developed a bad leak they told him they could not fix it. At that time I decided I wanted my money back. They refused. They also decided they would tape my calls and try and use them in the law suite my neighbor had filed without my permission. Owner of the company told me and I quote, "have anger management issues". Apparently does not understand ethical issues either. Will never hire this company for anything. Do so at your own risk.

Had problems from the start. Had to wait 8 weeks for them to show up to start work. After seeing work they performed on other properties I decided not to have them do the work. I personally witnessed sprinkler systems they had installed which were leaking. The sod they installed was coming apart at the seams. The workers who had installed both had no idea how to repair the sprinkler system or fix the sod. Very unprofessional company which I have to sue in order to get my deposit back. I am not the only one who has sued this company. Any company which refuses to give back your money for services not rendered does not need to be in business. The sod price was projected to be low. However, Ground control added $1000.00 to the price of pop-up downs spouts to make up for the low price. Work is extremely poor. Workers attitude was poor as well. Does not come across as a customer friendly organization. They give a lot of promises, but do not back them up with work. There were no responses from them. Promised if I was not satisfied, I would get work done for free. No contracts were ever given to me, nothing in writhing to back up anything they said.

We paid 10,000 to have yard leveled and graded, new sod, remove old patio and install rock and brick pavers. The employees were left unsupervised, were not experienced, employees had a fight in the street infront of home, no supervisor present for job, started lated, was very late completing, we immediately informed owner yard was severely flooded after rain, new gutters damaged, brand new siding damaged, 2 foot holes left unfilled were covered with weed barrier and rock over top which was dangerous to anyone who stepped on area, pop up drains for gutters failed with water damage to home, sliver cuts, unlevel patio with water running towards home, endless no call no shows, came unannounced, refused to honor warrenty or repair defects of job, sod dead from flooding of yard, contract not honored and no responses to repair unless homeowner payes additional dollars. A letter requesting refund from homeowners ignored, letter from attorney ignored leaving no choice but to sue in court. Owner of Ground Control came to property yelling at wife, yelling at new contractor surveying issues but still refuses to repair or refund. Owner of ground control has no experience with land grading and caused a flooding disaster at home which is costing more to repair than the original job was. Would never recommend to anyone.

These guys are local people and have started out in business.  They live not far away.  They are hired by the HOA.  I like that you don't have to worry about it.  I'm a senior citizen so I can't do a lot of that stuff.  They are very thorough and precise.  They started their company a few years ago when my arthritis started up so it was perfect for both of us.  They don't need to cut the grass every week, it doesn't always rain in the summer.  Their price fits right in line with everyone else, not any higher than anyone else.  Sometimes they cut the grass too short.  They are good.  Unless it rains they are there the same day each week.  They come same time same day each week unless it rains. They are really professional.

Terrible:( The area worked on still looks horribly bad. The dirt delivered does not look anything like it, instead, more so like ashes. Communication was so bad, especially after we put half of the service cost down as a payment. We had to chase the owner down, it almost felt like we were bagging him..... NOT TRUE TO HIS OWN ESTIMATED TIME OF SERVICE. We had him out for the estimate on the second week of April, he "completed " the service on June 1st. WILL NOT HIRE OR RECOMMEND-NEVER:(

very well! Young men were nice and attentive, listened to what I wanted and redid some areas when I asked for a bit more of something. I had tried for a long time to find a crew of guys who would do this not very glamorous work that I cannot do by myself. I will call them again in a little while !

It went very well. I was most impressed with the fact that they were fairly young, but also very personable and easy to work with. Doug was very sincere and delivered on all of his promises. This company was great to work with, and gives you what they tell you they will. I would highly recommend them if you need services, and plan to use them again myself later this year.

Great would hire again, they arrived on time and got the work done sooner than expected. I new what I wanted but did not have an idea on how to accomplish it at the price range I was looking for the owner sat down and gave me options based on what I could afford. Glad he was patient and took the time to really care about my needs without trying to pressure me to take the expensive route.
