I needed the grout in my kitchen and foyer completely redone as it was all coming out. Sam came by to take a look. Gave me an estimate and a few days later was here to do the work. Took him about 3 hours. It wasn’t very neat but I figured the excess would come up once I cleaned the floors. The next day, the grout started coming up!! I called, texted, and left several voicemails with NO response in return. Now I’m back at square one again. Very unprofessional. I should listened to l the other bad reviews!

Excellent. Sam is responsive, timely and dependable. He showed up, gave a reasonable estimate and we set up work for the next day. When he arrived the next day he got right to work and didn't stop until work was complete. His work is good and he takes care of your house. Great experience.

Outstanding! Sam was prompt both when he came to look at job and prompt when the job was to be done. Amazingly, he completed the entire job, including cleaning and re-sealing the bathroom tile floor and re-grouting the tub enclosure, in less than 4 hours - as I had anticipated it taking the entire day and possibly more. I have had the shower worked on, cleaned, etc. 2 earlier times - paid approximately the same amount - but no one even came close with the ending result. The shower looks absolutely new! If you need anything re-grouted - there isn't anyone you could go to that could be better.

PROS: Initially Sam was very responsive and professional. He arrived promptly for the estimate and for the job. He completed the job in the time he said he would. You cannot beat the cost, but you get what you pay for. CONS: The day after the work was completed there was cracking in grout around the master tub. We discovered he had not regrouted the back side of the tub and it was still the original cracking grout. In the guest bath the new grout was cracking around the floor of the bathtub. Instead of cleaning out the old caulk and recaulking around the bathtub, he grouted over the existing caulk which was cracking and peeling by the next day. He left grout smeared on tile and on walls and damaged molding (see pictures). I contacted Sam to have him come out to check the work and make repairs. He agreed to set something up but was difficult to schedule with given that he was going out of town for the holidays. I agreed to an appointment at 12 noon on 1/6/17. At 12:20 I contacted him because he had not shown up. He then texted me that he was in Columbia on a job and would contact me when he returned to Charlotte. I said that I would make myself available for the entire day, but he never contacted me. That evening I informed him I would be writing this review and contacting another company to repair the work. At that point he tried to offer to come out later that weekend, but we were done having communication with him. We have contacted another company that informed us the wrong grout was used for both parts of the job. They also provided us with a clear explanation as to how to determine what grout needs to be used and why which Sam never talked to us about and did not tell us he would be using a different grout than was used previously. They quoted us $785 to regrout the master shower again. The cost to repair the guest bathroom problems will be $280 and to repair only cracking grout in the master bath will be $170. In addition, though not directly related to the job I think a few things are noteworthy, it says on his website that he accepts credit but would not take a credit/debit card. He stated he was having a problem with his business account. He would not allow us to write a check to the company and requested we write a personal check. He is also not registered with the Better Business Bureau which I looked up since the work was completed. He provided 2 references for his work and neither answered or returned my phone call. The initial price he quoted for the entire master bath to be regrouted was $310. When writing out the quote he tried to write $345 which we caught and he corrected. While the work was being completed he then stated that the price was only for the shower and the bath would be an additional $55. My husband and I are young, first-time home buyers, so we didn't know what to expect in terms of cost or what questions to ask. This has been a lesson to us, but I hope after reading this review you consider seeking services through another company.

Sam is a kind and hardworking man who did a fantastic job cleaning and grouting the shower in my master bathroom----the shower looks brand new. I will absolutely call Sam first the next time I have a grouting issue.

I found Sam via google.  Called him and left message.  He called back early the next day.  He is from Liberia and his accent is thick but his enthusiasm shines through.  I texted him my address to stop by tfor a quote. He texted me three referrals.  The one I got through to was 110% supportive.  He had worked for her over a year ago and she was still super pleased with the job and highly recommended him.  When I met him and we discussed the job, I was impressed with his knowledge and enthusiasm.  Yes, I think he is genuinely enthusiastic about tile repair. It's his specialty. <br /> He did a great job.  Took shoes off at door.  Clean and neat work.  No dust. Quiet. Fast. He gave me instructions on how to clean and care for the new grout. It looks shiny and new.  So pleased. <br /> <br />

Sam gave us a 275.00 estimate to repair all the cracks in the grout and seal everything, but used a completely different color grout to do it. We had leftover grout from when our house was built, but he used the dark grout from our laundry room instead of the light tan mushroom colored grout for our bathroom. There is a stark night and day difference in the grout colors. For a trained grout professional, he should have had the expertise to know what color grout would match what was there. When I called about it, they told me it would dry a lighter color... so we waited and waited, but it is still a dark dark brown color next to the tan grout. To make matters worse, the grout he replaced started cracking and falling off in chunks. This was the worst experience.

I called Sam on a Monday before Thanksgiving. He came out the next day to give me an estimate at the exact time he said he would arrive. He then performed the work the next day. He was prompt, courteous and quite a pleasant conversant. I will certainly retain Sam forever as my first contact for any grout and cleaning services and recommend him to anyone that requests a referral. Sam really knows what he is doing and his prices are extremely reasonable for his exceptional work.

The tiles look like they are brand new, not 40 years old.

He answered my call & arranged to come out in a few days. He arrived on time, & performed the work quickly & to perfection. The job also required grouting several tiles that had been replaced, but not grouted. Great job!

Sam arrived on time, did the work as required, and charged a fair price. My parent-in-law recommended him, as they were pleased with his work (re-grouted both their showers).

Sam arrived promptly, and worked hard; the bath, shower, and dressing room tile work looks incredible and like new. He was very neat with his work and clean up. I will use his services again. Even the old shower doors look good, (he also resealed the doors). Good job.

They are fantastic. He is so polite. Had a great estimate and they are very clean. I have recommended them a couple of times already.
