The workers were very nice and worked hard all day. However, there were only 2 of them, which I thought was odd. Just this week, I noticed a leak, causing water to come into the house and drip through the ceiling. I believe I have a 5 year warranty for the roof. The number I got from Google is not an active number. Angie's List has a different number that I will try.

This was supposed to be a 1 day job for the roof and another for the gutters. It wasn't. The workers didn't show up the day it was supposed to start. They were supposed to be there at 7:30 am. Then on 12/3 salesman (Les Moore) called at 7:50 am to tell us due to Multiple layers of shingles didn't know when job could begin. At 9:45 am still hadn't heard when job would begin had to call owner, who told me that the issue was the wrong crew had been sent. ( this was all on day one) They didn't actually start until 12/07. They took the first layer of shingles off then once my roof was wrecked advised me I would need to agree to pay an additional $2400 for decking. The crew broke a storm window on the house and left glass everywhere. I was not reimbursed for this window. When foreman was advised of the broken window they actually asked me if it was a set up to get new windows. They broke my grill by kicking it out of the way. The crew used my front porch as a break room leaving cigarettes and drinks all over the place. On 12/10 they finally finished the roof however there was broken glass and nails left everywhere and not just an occasional nail. There were nails and glass everywhere to the point I had to call the company who sent one guy over that said " Yep, there are a lot of nails. Sorry about that" HE didn't clean it up. I did. The foreman showed up 3 times asking for a check for the rest of the work. I sent a text to Jena (owner) letting her know of the issues and that Les had made promises that were not being met. Matt the guy they set over tells me that Salesman was on his way out and just trying to get a final sale to keep his job. Fascia boards were never put on. Sent another text on 12/21 still waiting of Fascia. 12/27 Matt comes out to fix roof breaks pole holding electric wires to house has to call Duke to come out. He tells me electric company will fix Duke gets here and shows where the brackets were taken off the house that were holding the pole in place. The brackets are actually still outside. I has thought these were something used when putting on new gutters and was unaware that the roofing company took off the brackets and neglected to put back... Matt Temporarily fixes pole in place with his leather belt and puts nails in new roof to secure belt to roof. 12/28 Matt fixes new brackets and puts pipe back in using Silicone also plugs holes on roof with silicone. Also gutters were not put in the same place that I had them before Sent e-mail to Jena in February as Fascia never put on still waiting on response 05/17/2017 ( I don't think I'm getting that Fascia)

Horrible, They under bid on the price for this job, once they realized that they did they did everything they could do to back out of it, drug it out to the cold snap. This company follows the storms to do multiple fast riding jobs, ask other jobs are out on hold, another reason our fence was ongoing for 3 months plus. They promote "A" rating on Angies List and get this the "BBB" as well. Which we turned in to both organizations. We made sure we took snap shots of their website stating this, until we seaside to take them to court. We finally received our money back. "DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ROOFS, FENCES & ANYTHING ELSE THEY DO! This is a stay away company by all means!

The roof project went alright. The siding job was not so good. They didn't close some of the penetrations where electrical, sump pump line, outlets and lights were. When I called GSI to let them know we had a problem, I was told to call the sub contractor himself. I called him on 3 different occassions and had 3 different appointments. He never showed up or called. I felt GSI should have reached out to the sub-contractor in order to make sure the job was completed correctly. I gave up on them fixing the issues and hired someone else to fix the issues at additional cost.

commercial building roof no longer leaks. A decent job. The house is another story. The old shingles needed to be removed and replaced with the new. It looks great. Issues arose when the new guttering was installed. First, it seems that a drip edge should have been installed along with the roof. That was not done, so the gutter installers had to go back and do that. Also, we wanted solid gutter covers. They brought the ones with holes instead, so went ahead and installed gutter and came out later to install the covers. Turns out that the gutters should have been located about an inch lower to accommodate the covers. When installed, the covers butted up to the shingles, and the lowest row of shingles had a bow in them so that the rainwater pooled there instead of running off to the gutters. Also, the ends of the gutters where they butted up to the house were not tight against the siding, neither were they caulked, so the rainwater ran down the wall in sheets After several calls, a couple of different crews were sent out, but didn't seem to understand the problem. Finally, a third person came and took pictures and evaluated. He felt the gutters should be relocated and this was finally done several weeks later. Still have an issue with water running down the wall by the porch. We hope no other problems arise.

It appears that communication problems abound, and ongoing personnel changes (we dealt with 3 different managers, two of which no longer work there) both caused problems and kept them from being corrected. We had other projects we'd like to do, but would not use this company again.

My home had wind damage back in June 2014 and I hired GSI Service Inc. to repair the damaged items going through my insurance company. They told me that due to the number of homes in the area that were damaged by this wind that the job would take a few weeks to get started but should be done within a week or so after the start date and I signed a contract on July 25th.
A couple weeks pasted and the company came out to redo my roof. In conversations with the project manager, he informed me they would inspect my roof for internal structural damage at the time of the roof replacement. The internal inspection wasn’t completed at that time, I had to call the company and request someone come to my home and inspect. At the conclusion of the inspection the inspector noted there were some items that needed to addressed and to this day no further actions have been made.

Following the inspection I received a bill requesting full payment, and I again called GSI to inform them that all of the work described in the insurance claim (which I provided to them twice) had not been completed. I requested an itemized billing of the work completed to that point and the document was never provided.

As of this date (10/17/2014) work has not been completed and the owner of the company (Brain Smith) has stated he will put a lien on my home if I don’t pay him the full amount.

I cannot recommend doing business with this company, I have found them unreliable.

Great job. Guys were very responsive, very professional, and did a great job. It was just a minor roof repair but hey still showed interest and did not try to sell a complete new roof or turn it into a major repair. They even left some shingles they were in the pack but not used. Very prompt ... great follow up. I'll use these guys again for many different type jobs.
