I had a little bit of an issue there but it was cleared out.  I was disappointed.  I made an appointment and they never showed up so I called them and I made our appointment and didn’t show up and I called them again and they gave me excuses.  He is very apologetic all the time but the first time he said it definitely on him he didn’t write down.  The second time I don’t what happened.  I made special arrangements because I know I will be home that day from work and then the third time he did come and we did what we did and it was done.  The guy who he sent was very nice and all but I was a little disappointed that I have to call them three times to get the appointment.  I even said that you know this is an Angie’s List special that you were doing here.  I thought that made a little fire on them but it seemed to help any.  I mean he wasn’t nasty or belligerent but I thought that it could have been handle a little bit better.  No additional from the big deal.

They were pleasant, honest, prompt, and did an excellent job cleaning up when the job was completed. we are extremely pleases with their work and would certainly recommend them!

Things went very well.  It was a bit difficult at first getting the company to contact me after I'd purchased the Big Deal, but once contact was made, everything went very well.  The guy who came was very professional and seemed to have done a good job.  Said my ancient furnace was in good shape!

The technician was very professional, clean, and quick. He explained everything that he did to maintain our gas boiler and even suggested that we didn't need to have him back to do it again for a couple of years. I have no way of evaluating his actual work, but his professionalism was excellent. I assume he did all the things to maintain the boiler that he described. <br />

They were very reasonable. They were on time and they were very professional. They've been fantastic. At that time, the thermostat that I had wasn't in an ideal place. They did recommend a better thermostat which I love. I'm very glad that I was with them. Even during the estimate, it was the owner who came to the house to look at the furnace and talking through his products and what he does. If I would definitely give them a call. I know that everybody likes to get different quotes. They are easy to talk to, trustworthy and very easy to work with. They were on time, clean and professional. While they were here, they also checked my air conditioning unit even though there was nothing wrong with it. They were very good.

We have used this company for maintenance and have been very pleased. They come out twice a year, Fall and Spring to check the A/C and furnace. We have had different technicians come out and each time they were on time, experienced, answered all our questions and professional. We highly recommend them. <br /> <br />

I live in a town home built in 1975. The Central air unit, air handler and wiring were all the original from when the house was built.  My husband and I decided that it was time for a new unit and obtained three different quotes from different providers.  Our salesman from Guaranteed was Ben Mehlman.  He came to my home, looked around, crawled up into the atic and did a complete evaluation.  He went through the MULTIPLE guarantees that the company offers and went to the trouble to answer all of our questions.  All and all he spent a good hour to an hour and a half going over our options and answering questions.  He followed up via email and phone but was not pushy or intrusive.  We obtained the other quotes and received one that was comperable to the quote that Guaranteed gave us.  We had some concerns about the level of service from the other company because they seemed a bit slow in their reponses but they offered a very comperable unit at a slightly lower price.  I contacted Ben and spoke to him about it. I even went as far as to send him the quote.  He was honest with me about how comperable the quotes were and again wasn't pushy or intrusive.  Guaraneed was the middle quote and came in with extras. We went with them.  The sales experience was VERY positive and then the install day came.  To me this was the important part. Ben was awesome but I was concerned about the install. Living in a town home you have a small space for the air handler and I was concerned about getting it up there and my pets and various other things.The day of the install we had 3 installers show up. They put down covering over my carpeting to be sure they didn't damage anything.  They got the new units installed and removed the garbage as well as the old unit. <br /> When they tried to kick on the new unit it wouldn't turn on. It turned out there was a problem with the unit.  They didn't give me the run around at all!  They didn't try to repair it on site, they didn't play any games!  They contacted their supplier and got a replacement unit! They couldn't get it from the supplier until the next morning.  They came out again the next morning and installed the new unit.  They did a complete test of the entire system to be sure that everything worked properly.  There was no extra cost for the next day. There were no hidden charges. They were up front and clear. <br /> After the first very hot day they even followed up to be sure that everything was ok and met our expectations. <br /> We have a new unit with a lifetime compressor warranty and we had a great team do the work for us!  They helped with the financing and gave us multiple options.  Their office staff was very responsive and made sure we had what we needed. <br /> My parents always said that if you take care of your contractor they will take care of you.  I DIDN'T HAVE TO DO THAT!  They were AWESOME!  They normally work right through lunch but I made them stop to eat something. I had doughnuts for them and I ordered pizza for them for lunch.  We all have to eat right? :) <br /> They weren't the lowest price but they were the complete package of price, customer service and dependability! <br /> I would hire Guaranteed again and would recommend them to anyone!!!!!!

First define "reasonable" amount of time. We had their service techs out several different times to look at the unit. Each tech had his own idea as to what was wrong and how to fix it and each one was different from the other guys'. Each one would tweak something and say it was fixed but the furnace would not light again. I had to call them and AHS daily to find out when they would come out to resolve the issue. AHS ignored my calls. Finally a GH&A tech decided a valve needed replacing but they didn't have one in stock. November 2008 was rather cold and they would not put a rush order on the part. We were without heat for about two weeks! I even called Channel 6 Call for Action to complain - I was that frustrated! GH&A eventually got the valve and replaced it. The furnace ran well in the winter of 2009. We'll see what happens this winter.

I was very impressed with their tecnhicians Bob/Chuck and the quality of their work. They were in good spirits and left my place spotless. I shopped for prices and they gave me the best deal. They also provided me with photographs of my flue when they were explaining the issues with my fireplaces. The provided me with different options (along with pros and cons) and what, in my opinion, were honest renderings of the situation. There were not pushy. I did have one issue with the gas log installation and they were back the next day to fix it. I liked their pricing and manner so much that I recently hired them to put in my new central AC, furnace and hot water heater (on 3/5/10). The owner of the company, AJ, was helpful giving me information on state energy programs and local rebates. This company goes beynd the call of duty.

They came in and took out the old units, put in the new units and you wouldn't even had known that they had been here. They left the basement clearer than it was when they arrived. They were on time and professional.

Dan, Vinny, and Brian handled a difficult installation (small utility closet with large water heater in condo)in a highly professional manner. We consider the price reasonable as we added a variable-speed fan. Most impressive was the quality of service. A few days after the installation, the compressor kept running even though the thermonstat was turned to ''off.'' Dan arrived the next day. He found that a power surge or lightning strike had fused a part. He drove back to office, got a replacement part, and returned to install it even though it was late in the day. He rechecked everything and stayed until the system was running to his satisfaction. As Consumer Reports advises, ''It's the installation that counts'' and this company did a good job.
