Consumer Beware! We had a few companies come out to quote us on replacing 12 windows with hurricane windows. During our first meeting with Gulf Coast, we discussed the types of windows we want. After meeting with a few other companies and questioning a couple family members about their experience with Gulf Coast, even though their quote was a bit higher than the other company, we decided to go with them. (Thinking they were a reputable, trustworthy company) On our second visit with Andy we discussed our order once again and signed a contract. The price quote was just over $20k but with a cash discount we had a contract price of around 16K. The contract we signed stated that we would be receiving "Performer III" windows. Two "Storm Force" and 10 "Max Force". Their website clearly describes the Performer III as " Our Performer III hurricane windows are not only strong enough to avoid being damaged by a powerful Category 5 storm, but these cutting-edge hurricane replacement windows also offer the very best in terms of: IMPACT RESISTANCE.... INTRUDER RESISTANCE...ENERGY EFFICIENCY". On installation day the crew showed up and began installation. They were very courteous and made efforts to keep their workplaces clean. When my husband arrived home from work they were still working on the first side of the house. I asked him how we would know if these windows matched what we ordered. After looking at the windows he discovered that they were Wincore 5400 series. Research showed us that these are a regular replacement window and DO NOT match the description of Performer III on the Gulf Coast Website or what we wanted and signed a contract agreeing to. We immediately made contact with Gulf Coast Windows to get answers. After speaking to our sales rep and managers it was explained to us that because the box next to "laminated security glass" was not checked on our contract that we declined "impact glass" and that because "customer will supply plywood" was written in, that means we will not have impact glass. Our initial discussions with the sales rep indicated that supplying plywood was what we needed to do to pass a windstorm inspection for the "max force series windows" (the less expensive of the Performer III). We have yet to get answers to our questions, or an itemized invoice of what exactly we were charged for. In emails our sales rep has stated that it is "not my responsibility if you do not know your windstorm requirement for your area" and "Gulf Coast Windows can name or label their windows as they choose". The employees have been nothing but rude, pushy and disrespectful. To our family, 16k is a large amount of money. We originally put our trust into this company to provide the service and product that would be worth such an investment, I am disappointed in both and would not recommend this company to anyone looking for new or replacement windows.

Every employee is an exceptional professional. The difference between this business and others is that each employee truly cares about doing a top notch job. Cleanliness and safety are emphasized. Each step of the process was double-checked for accuracy, and we would only buy from this company for quality and perfect installation.

Salesman was professional and explained all aspects of the products to be installed. The installation crew was great! Timely arrival on work site, friendly and courteous. During the installation they put up barriers to minimize dust and did a great job of cleaning up and removing all debris from the site.

Signed contract for $7630 and paid $2289 down payment to Dustin Solice, Gulf Coast Windows sales representative on 11/4/2019. Received call from Nicole Taylor, Gulf Coast Windows Office/Finance manager verifying contract details 11/7/2019 Check clears 11/12/2019 Measurements taken 11/14/2019. Receive call from Ms. Taylor that they are cancelling contract. I noted that they are well past any cancellation period. I talked with Dustin Solice, who investigates and says the actual pricing should have been double. At that point I call Ms. Taylor and agree to a prompt refund. We are promised the funds in 10 days. I note we are leaving town for the holidays and want the money by 12/18. Ms. Taylor assures me that 10 days is the maximum time and we should be ok. Called on 12/18/2019 and am told the refund process has not started. Called on 12/31/2019 and am told that James Fiume must sign the refund check and he will not be in until 1/6/2020. Called on 1/8/2020 and am told Mr. Fiume did not return until 1/7 and the check is still not signed.

"Mrs. G****, We apologize for any inconvenience. We do our best to satisfy every project but unfortunately were unable to proceed with your project. We were under the impression you were working with Dustin to determine if perhaps there was an alternative way we could follow through with the project, hence the additional delay. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience. Thank you, Gulf Coast Windows"

Thanks to everyone at Gulf Coast Windows who were involved with our latest window order. This includes Andy, Nicole, Hailey, Brennan, Anthony, Jimmy, Carmello and anyone else who helped. In the past , we replaced a few windows at a time. It took us (6) six of (10) ten years to completely replace all the windows in our home. For (4) four years, we did other improvements to our home. Window replacement has made our home much more comfortable. Thank you Gulf Coast Windows.

We purchased four windows in June 2018. After waiting five months for them, they installed them in November 2018. 3 of the 4 windows had scratches or marks between the panes, so GCW re-ordered 3 of them. They finally arrived in April 2019, but the picture window was scratched so they did not install it. The other 2 were not replaced because they said they could only do it from the inside and would need to tear out the plantation shutters. Later I was told they did not have time that day to replace them from the outside. In August 2019, I had my appointment at noon to replace the 3 defective windows. I drove an hour to work, and at 7:30am they called me and said they had a cancellation and would be there at 830am. I reminded them my appointment was an noon. They claimed if they came at noon they would only have time to do one window then had to leave by 3pm. Extremely unhappy, I drove an hour back to my house and met them at 830am. The picture window, for the 3rd time, had scratches on it between the panes. The other two were OK and were installed by 1pm. The picture window is on order for the 4th time. I have a need for additional windows, but obviously due to 14 months of issues with GCW, I will be shopping elsewhere. I am completely disappointed with the quality of the windows due to the many defects, and frustrated with the lengthy delays and poor coordination within the Service department on scheduling their time and respecting their customers time

Gulf Coast was so friendly and accommodating when I contacted them. The parts took some time to come in, but not their fault. As soon as they were in, they came right out, replaced the window, and left the house better than they found it. Ashley in customer service was outstanding and a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend!!!

Gulf Coast took on an extremely difficult window replacement project in our 4 story stucco townhome. Many windows are 6 feet tall. They specified a high quality composite Paragon window. The windows fit great and the installers were wonderful people being very careful to install our new windows and seal them right. We had a few minor issues as expected on a job this complex and Gulf Coast worked to make the job perfect even getting the window manufacturer to visit our home. We are very satisfied! By the way, some of the most popular window manufacturers would not even quote our project. Great work by installer crews led by Nick and Jose, service from Adrian, office coordination by Ashley. Total team effort! Thank you Gulf Coast Windows!

The installation crew ( 2 men) did an excellent job. I was very pleased with their work ethics and were pleasant to be around. They cleaned up after each work day. Their work was very, very good. I would and have recommended Gulf Windows for my friends for new windows and door replacement. I would surly use them again. Five star rating.

Work went well. The crew showed up on time and went over the work and procedure. It took two days to complete the installation, as discussed on day one. No surprises. This firm is well worth the premium cost of their product.

Disappointed w/ "customer service" is an understatement...We PAID a significant deposit for windows & a door in Nov 2017 w/ a delivery date of 12 Jan 2018. Date came & went, no one called. I called GCW&D...no info...left message w/ a human & no one called back. After multiple calls (over a reasonable period of time) a less than professional receptionist informed us of the new date: +1month was estimate. Date came & no one called. Called & asked to speak to a supervisor...joke. Still, no one called back. Male spouse called and FINALLY someone called back. Fast forward + almost 2months from estimated due date with NO ONE proactively calling. We asked for discount after lengthy delay with absolutely NO customer service (which was touted on the recording when I called and held repeatedly) and unreasonable delay. Response: "no discounts considered until after installation." Let it suffice to say, misled w/ discount too, which was a pittance so NO more Gulf Coast Windows & Doors. Only saving grace is that the installers (Nick & Carlos) were professional and the job is complete & pray we never need warranty service. Would NOT recommend this company.

DO NOT waste your money with this company. My husband and I recently purchased a front door from them that cost nearly $10K. You would think, you get what you pay for.....absolutely not the case with Gulf Coast Windows. First off, they ordered the wrong color hardware for our door, even though we specifically went over what color we wanted with the salesman. Upon calling them to get the hardware replaced after our door was installed with the wrong color, they basically tried to tell me it was my fault the color was wrong, implying that I ordered it. I had to talk to several different people and even our salesman admitted it was his mistake. They ordered us new hardware (supposedly in the correct color, which I went over with them numerous times). My husband stayed home from work a second day so they could come and install the correct hardware, only to find out that when the tech showed up, they had sent the wrong color again (same color that was originally installed). Now my husband has wasted two days staying home from work because they have told us that they can only do installs and service Mon-Fri 8-5. Now we will have to take off another day IF and when they actually get us the right color hardware. We are really regretting our decision to use this company and hope to advise anyone else considering them to rethink their decision before they spend thousands of dollars and end up unhappy.

Sales person promised that the windows would be installed by the end of the year. When I had not received notice of installation, I called to see when the windows would be installed. Was told by the appointment scheduler “not before February” since they are taking time off for the holidays. How can a sales person (someone who claims to have been with the company for 28 years) not know this? When I contacted the sales person he explained that he lied and would see if they could put a rush on the job and get back to me on Monday. It has been over two weeks and I have not heard anything from Gulf Coast Windows. For a company to have been in business for 35 years, this is extremely poor business practices. I certainly hope that this is not a reflection of the quality of the window installation and the follow-up visits (if necessary).

#GulfCoastWindows did an incredible job installing our new composite windows. Alex's crew were true craftsmen. Not a single bit of drywall damaged. They didn't leave even the smallest bit of trash. They did it all from start to finish for 12 windows in 7 hours! I can't say enough good things about their windows and the quality of their work. The house is quieter and no more drafts! If you're looking for new windows, don't hesitate. Call Gulf Coast Windows today! [*** Link removed ***]

This is the project that never ends. We had used Gulf Coast Windows previously and were quite satisfied with both the windows and the service, so many years later when we finally decided it was time to replace the remaining windows and the front door we didn't even contact anyone else; nor did we look at Angie's List. We ordered our windows/front door/and replacement hardware for our back door in July 2015. Our windows and front door were not ready to install until October 2015 (and after waiting and waiting our first installation date was for when we were out of town at the end of October) and were finally installed in early November 2015. Two of the windows had been made improperly and  had to be re-manufactured and the hardware for our back door that we ordered had not been ordered. We were told that our windows would be ordered and re-manufactured quickly and I asked if the back door hardware could be provided as quickly as possible. It's now the beginning of February and Gulf Coast Windows has yet to provide the back door hardware that I was told could be provided as quickly as a week and our re-manufactured windows? We've heard nothing. In January, the salesman who sold us the windows called and asked if it was really true that the work hadn't been finished. We assured him that was true. He said that he would work on getting the work completed. Still nothing.....six months and the work isn't completed and we have no indication at ALL from Gulf Coast Windows that this is anything other than simply how they do business. Certainly, there is no indication on there part that this is anything other than business as usual. <br />

Process went very smoothly in the early stages. Quote was made, prices agreed on, measurements taken, and windows were ordered. After about 6 weeks the windows were ready and we (the HOA of which I am the president) began the arduous task of scheduling installation of the windows. Gulf coast was reasonably cooperative with this and installation was completed in a reasonable mount of time. Several windows were cracked during installation which with a job this size is not unusual. Gulf Coast Windows came back out an repaired these cracked windows promptly. It was at this point things began to go awry. The windows in the bathrooms on these old condos are tall and narrow. When installing these windows I noticed they they seemed to flex outward when being screwed into the frames of the windows. The bowing was minimal so I didn't think much about it. Sadly I should have asked more questions at the time. While all of the normal dimension windows function correctly the tall narrow bathroom windows are nearly unusable. The sliding portion of the glass can be be moved site to side in the free of the window and when opening the windows the plastic sliders (ballasts?) fall out and it takes several minutes of wiggling to force the window open or closed. Small pieces of plastic also routinely break off inside the tracks of these windows. Gulf coast windows up until this point had been very good about fixing the cracked windows and minor issues with the other windows so we called them out to examine the problem to determine a solution. A young man who was very courteous came out and looked at the windows and agreed they were not functioning correctly. He was unable to fix them but rescheduled to come back out with the installer to look at the problem. Once again they came out looked at the windows admitted there was a problem but were unable to fix them. It has now been nearly two years in which time they have sent the same individuals out repeatedly to try and fix the problem using the same methods. It has become nearly comical. I personally believe when they installed the windows they did not properly shim them and when securing the windows in the window opening it bent the aluminum outer frame of the window causing the sliding panel to just barely remain in place. This allows the mechanical portion that is supposed to keep tension on the window when you raise it or lower it to completely fall out of the frame. After two years we still have been unable to get Gulf Coast to repair these windows. While I personally am no longer on the HOA board the current Board members continue to try and get GCW to resolve this issue and GCW has not done so. I would not recommend Gulf Coast windows. The only reason I rate the overall experience as a D rather than an F is due to the unfailing friendliness of the young man who is the person they always send out to "repair" the windows. Also those windows which do operate correctly are very good windows. Somewhere in their company there is a major disconnect between their crews in the field and their people in the office.

The sales experience couldn't have been any worse. The saleslady parked herself in our house for 4 hours and her initial estimate was for $65,000 -- and they left out the largest of all the windows in our home. I ended up signing a deal for just the master bedroom just to get her out of the house. As she was leaving, she asked that we not cancel the order because she was in a contest to win a vacation -- which was extremely unprofessional. When we called back to review the order, she repeated her plea not to cancel for her to win the vacation. We had the entire house requoted from another company (including the ones she missed) and got a quote of $20,000.
