Haber Remodeling, Construction, and Roofing. Beware!! Please DO NOT hire this company. The owner, Barry Haber, is a convicted felon for pouring gasoline and trying to light his wife on fire when their youngest child was just 12 weeks old. He abandoned his children and then voluntarily signed away his rights by meeting the burden of proof of Clear and Convincing evidence. He falsified his child support financial affidavit and hid his assets and income to reflect $200/week in wages specifically to defraud child support just a few months ago (2021), and then shortly after he voluntarily signed away his rights to those children to get out of responsibility. This man does NOT deserve your hard earned money when he is too selfish to support his own children in any way. He even went as far as to claim the children on his food stamp application upon release from prison in 2019 when he hasn't seen those kids since 2017, let alone feed them. He even stole their P-EBT from Leon county schools lunch program (2020 and 2021) while the children were home for digital online school during the quarantine as they were receiving free school lunches, he essentially stole his children's food and public assistance intended to feed the children. He also threatened to withhold child support to the victim(s) if such should testify about his abuse at trial, where he was found guilty; those threats landed him with witness tampering charges. Don't be conned by this man or any victim card he pulls. If ethics and morals are not enough to deter you from this deadbeat delinquent, please note he does crappy work. All work on my home paid in full has to be completely redone, down to flooring just a few years post-install. Make sure to research your contractor!!

We met Mr. Haber at a local home show.  We had been searching in vain for someone to repair or install a new door. (He said he would only repair a door that he had installed himself.) He returned our call promptly, and said he could send a quote without measuring since the size is pretty standard.  He also told us about a used door that we might want., that had been in a display.  He sent us a picture of the door and we decided to take it.  It is a gorgeous Pella door with a screen, and it was half priced. <br /> The job was scheduled, and two professional young men arrived fairly early on the date set. Our old door was very well attached, and it took a lot of patience and hard work to remove it.  They worked steadily, on a pretty hot day with no shade nearby, and were very polite and friendly.  When they finished the job, they cleaned the area well, leaving everything neat.  <br /> I would use this remodeling service again, in fact I plan to in the near future. <br />

<p>Having never needed repairs of this magnitude, we called half a dozen contractors for estimates.  After looking them over we settled on Haber because they were local and had an easy to understand estimate.</p> <p>The day we called Barry to tell him he was our choice, he had a crew out to close up the roof. He did this even before any paperwork was signed.</p> <p>Over the  next two weeks, repairs were done in a most satisfactory way. There were a few days where his crew had to work around our schedule.  Even then the work progressed faster than expected.  Dad was able to stay in the house during the repairs.</p> <p>We had the roof and underlining roof structure repaired , the entire roof got new shingles.  The damaged rain gutters were replaced. The master bath was completely rebuilt, and painted. Master bedroom ceiling was painted.  Holes in the kitchen ceiling were patched and the entire ceiling was painted as was the front room.  Cracks in the kitchen wall were patched and the entire wall was painted. </p> <p>And some 35 feet of fence was replaced.</p> <p>Cables for the TV were re run.</p> <p>At this point </p> <p>we determined there would be money left over , So we had 2 exterior doors replaced , new Gutters installed on the other 3 sides of the house , and some landscaping issues resolved,  topsoil and a large area covered with grass sod.</p> <p>The job was done in less than 2 weeks. All trash was removed.  The house looks great.</p> <p>I would recommend Haber to anyone.</p> <br />

It is a continuing nightmare experience. The roof was not hemmed or put on according to manufacturer's instructions, it leaks. I have been told that is does not meet Florida Safety code. <br />

I contacted Home Depot for a total house siding replacement job in Septmeber of 2010 .  A representative from Home Depot came and took the time to explain to me about the project at my home and from there I signed the contract.  Home-Depot works with certified contractors to complete specific jobs.  I guess they sub-contract?  Anyways, I was then contacted by Haber Remolding Inc. and from there my siding was "replaced".  <br /> <br /> One thing I noticed that they did that made wish I had done a little more research was that they nailed the new Hardie <br /> board to my old siding.  Haven't had a problem since, but I read that Jame Hardie suggests removing the old siding before applying the new Hardie Board.  Seems pretty solid though, finished product looks good, the paint is supposed to hold for like 20 years plus because it is baked in so I definitely like that.  <br /> <br /> Also, I can't use two outside faucets because of the reside and the gutters retain a great amount of water even days after it has rained and have become a breeding ground for mosquitos, they were not angled correctly.

I also asked for estimates on some wood rot repair on the Chimney and dormers.The repairs were done to my satisfaction. <br /> I asked for estimates on some other work and it seemed their estimates high in price.I will obtain other estimates to check their prices.I am not sure if the price for the wood rot repair was a fair one but i contracted the work since they were already on the roof. <br />

Excellent experience. Work was done on time. Employees were considerate while working inside my home. <br />
