Everything went well. They agreed to meet a complex schedule that involved other work before and after the window installation. They agreed to come back afterwards to complete the interior window trim molding.

Door was severely warped and damaged, and they ignored this and installed it and insisted on full payment.

Job quality was good. Company went out of business and we're not available to perform required follow up actions

Very well as far as the ordering and installation process is concerned. The company was a bit less responsive when we tried later to get matching frames after we had work done in the bathrooms.

The installers did a very good job. The company appears to have gone out of business. There was corrective work which was required and the company was not around to honor its obligation to make it right. The manufacturer, Marvin, stepped in and corrected the installation issues.

<p>The installation went fine two years ago, and we were happy with the door. We needed them to come back for a minor adjustment about 2 weeks after install, which they did, and all was fine. Fast forward two years -- the brushed nickel door handle and lock mechanism started to wiggle around and become loose, with no apparent way to tighten it ourselves. It wasn't a security issue, just made the door handle look lopsided and therefore shoddy from the outside. And it was getting looser. So we attempted to call Hammer & Nails Exteriors<strong> FOUR</strong> times at their published number requesting a warranty provided service call. It would have taken the service technician probably five minutes to fix. We were told each time that they would take our information and someone would call back to schedule a time.</p> <p>After four calls to their receptionist over the last three weeks, we still have not received a call back to schedule the repair so we figured out how to fix it ourselves. <strong>This company does not fulfill its lifelong warranty promise. So if you ever need a follow-up visit, no matter how small, you cannot count on them. To me this is warranty fraud. I would never recommend using this company. Unprofessional, unresponsive, and dishonest. </strong>I am positive that had we called the receptionist asking for a quote for new services, we would have received a call back immediately.</p> <p><br /></p> <p><br /></p> <p><br /></p> <p><br /></p> <p><br /></p> <br />

Initial quote process, ordering and install was way prepositional. H – e n test us informed at all stages at the process. End result was professional and of high quality.

Nikos the salesperson was very professional and helpful. Nikos suggestions were very informative in regards to the type of the doors that would fit perfectly for this type of older house. Nikos worked with us in drafting several contracts before we were able to finalized the contract and the start date. The measuring department informed us that the doors needed to be customized and special order. The installation was schedule for (2) days. However, Oscar and his professional crew started around 8:30 am and was able to completed the job around 7:00 pm. The installation went well since the crew was working on a older house. The installation crew section off the work area and did a complete clean up of the work area. Thank you Hammer and Nail Exteriors for doing a great job! <br />

Hammer and Nail contacted me within 10 minutes of my submission of an online request  for information. That right off the bat impressed me as two other contractors I contacted prior to Hammer and Nail never contacted me back even after I left them voice messages. Hammer and Nails sales rep Nikos came to my home and showed and explained to me all of my product choices and then spent a significant amount of time measuring and remeasuring the monster size door to be replaced.  Prior to my door order being submitted, another Hammer and Nail employee came to re-measure and confirm the original measurements. Due to the size of the door (and double screen doors) and transom it was pretty much a custom built door and it did take about 6 weeks for the door to be delivered from the Marvin factory but I was informed by Nikos that that would be the case and I had no objections to the time frame. Once the door arrived, the construction staff quickly scheduled installation. James and his install crews showed up exactly on time. James and his crew were very courteous and took great measures to protect my floors before demolition of the existing door. The guys did an excellent job of installing the new doors and transom. James himself made sure that the screen doors latched properly and that the doors were aligned perfectly. The crew used spray float insulation instead of cramming in little pieces of fiberglass insulation. The crew did a great job caulking the walls inside and out and cleaned up after themselves before they left. I am so pleased by this experience with Hammer and Nail that I will be calling them in the near future to replace my basement door. <br />
