Awful. Ed came twice. The second time, after I asked for an adjustment to a repair, I overheard him insulting me to his assistant. Will never hire again. Also: you'll notice that he retaliates to bad reviews, so put your seatbelts on. I'm sure he'll respond with some nice choice words. Moderators: please do your job. Women, in particular, steer clear.

I hired Handy Helper & The Helping Hands for cleaning service. I wanted them to do a deep "Spring" cleaning in my 4 bed/3 bath home. - The work was very good - They had quick email response and I could schedule everything electronically - The price was comparable to other services in the area The interactions with the company were different than what I have experienced with other cleaning services. They wanted to come out and see what work we wanted done before scheduling the cleaning--like the quote or job spec visit you get when hiring a handyman or landscaping service. Also, they did not want me to be present in my home during the cleaning service. I thought we had worked this out during the initial visit, but they again insisted that I leave on the actual day of the service. I would recommend them if you are looking for a service to do a "move out" clean or are comfortable with having the service in your home independently.

Ed responded quickly and came to our house. He was honest about not being licensed. But no electrical work was done. The electrical work we were needing required a licensed electrician.

Ed came in at a lower bid than the other company I requested an estimate from, yet the quality and workmanship of the job done did not suffer one bit. They were at my house when they said they would be, and had the job done in a very reasonable amount of time. I will definitely request his services again in the future!

Not considerate about my time. Charge what they assume the traffic will bear. I may use them again. Depends on services I need.

Excellent. I live out of town and needed a rental cleaned for my renters. I purchased a deal through Angie's List for 2 hours of house cleaning from The Helping Hands, then contacted Ed to set up cleaning. He was very prompt, helpful and reliable. We set a date, his crew texted to let me know when they were coming, they arrived right on time and cleaned the house very well. They were trustworthy, prompt, and did a great job cleaning. I would definitely use them again. Great job.

<p>Time and date went as agreed upon. Work was incredibly slow. I was given the impression that the man I spoke to and a second worker would be present for the hourly rate, but instead it was one worker most of the time. Head man admitted that the worker was probably going especially slowly because we were doing an hourly rate and that he would have had more incentive to work faster if it was a flat fee for the whole deck. He had never before mentioned doing a flat fee for the whole deck and thought that this was some kind of good reason for this work going so slowly and racking up $$$ for him! He did negotiate a slight discount with me at the last minute because I expressed displeasure. He did not follow our instructions about which parts of the deck we wanted stained first. We wanted the outer railings done first because we were specifically hiring someone to do most of the ladder work for use, with the intention of finishing the inner parts ourselves, as my husband did during part of the time the work was being done. Also, the places where stain was applied were poorly done with missed spots. We wanted professionals doing the power washing so that we would not put marks and gouges in the wood with our inexperience, but they didn't manage to avoid that either. Ultimately, they left well before the job was finished, and we did the rest ourselves. We also had to supply all stain and paint supplies.</p> <br />
