It went smoothly. He coordinated a time with the resident and called me when he evaluated the current disposal and said it needed a new one. I agreed and he picked out an installed a new one.

I called alan on 9/22/14 and told him I was a landlord who lived in another state and my tenant had some issues with the house. I told him what the issues were and he said we will go out there on 9/23/14 and check it out and call you for approval. They showed up on time assessed the situation and called me with a quote. He told me that the garbage disposal was rusted out and that the doors just needed to be realigned and they could tak care of it for 225. I gave them the approval and everything was taken care of. They called me when it was done and left a message saying everything was taken care of. I highly recommend Handy Jack Services. Prompt, friendly, and efficient. <br />

It went very smoothly.  They arrived on time as promised.  They set up their equipment in the front yard and were finished in a few hours.  They matched the paint exactly.  Very professional, nice quality work.  Dan was the person responsible for this job.  Definitely will use them again.

They addressed my whole list!  Paul and JJ were very smart, friendly and good at their jobs.  There was only one thing they couldn't do and it was because of a lack of a specialized tool.  I am so relieved to have my "honey do" list completed! <br /> <br />

We chose to go with them based upon the quality of their bid. The first sign I noticed of things going bad where that they no-called, no showed us on the first day they were supposed to start.  <br /> <br /> The project was not finished until the last week of May when it was supposed to be done about half way through the month of March when to work initially started. <br /> <br /> They were supposed to lay flooring, paint, build a custom island, and install new cabinets. We kept experiencing delays on the smaller work before even getting to the bigger jobs (cabinets & island). We were wanting to get those items installed prior to choosing flooring and painting because we wanted to compare. <br /> <br /> Once we finally got the cabinets, the quality of them was well below what we were expecting and when we called them on it he got upset and was adamant that they were "industry-standard". With the island, my wife had shown them an island that we wanted and they got back to us with "we found an island that will match what you need" but it was nowhere near what we were actually wanting. <br /> <br /> Rather than sticking to the quality items we had requested, they chose to use cheap substitutes instead. I can only imagine this was to take more profit off of what we paid them. <br /> <br /> They no called, no showed us a few more times towards the end of them month. It was just a bad experience overall and I would not recommend this company at all. <br /> <br /> With the paint, I paid for them to use Sherman Williams paint and they tried to replace that with a cheaper, lower quality product. Our granite countertop came in with a few gouges and scratches it it as well. <br /> <br /> They failed to show up prior to the floor installers arriving to clean up the area. I ended up cleaning up the area on my own so the floor could be installed. They kept asking for more and more money after providing sub-par service throughout.  <br /> <br /> The whole situation was a nightmare! I know have to have more contractors in to repair all of the "work" they supposedly did.

Arrived late, but called prior to our scheduled time to let me know he was running late on a job which was not a problem.  Purchased 2 hour deal, and he finished just a little over a hour.  Would recommend them again. <br />

The main reason I hired this handyman service was to install a new Honeywell thermostat for my AC system.   When I called the provider they said this is something they could handle so I went ahead with the service.  The technician spent over an hour trying to get the new thermostat installed but he could never get it to work.  I finally had him just put the old thermostat back on and he could not get it to work either (though it was working when he arrived).    The technician spent 1.5 hours messing with the thermostats and left with them not working and saying someone else would be by to fix it.    They never came so i had to spend another 80 getting an AC service to the house who had the new thermostat up and running in 15 minutes.    If thermostats are not something that Handy Jack services could handle they should not have told me otherwise and leaving with things in worse shape than when he arrives is completely unacceptable.   Complete waste of 99.00  Will never use this service again.  BUYER BEWARE <br /> <br /> <br />

It went fine and they did a good job. I bought them for my father and he said they were nice guys.

HORRIBLE experience. I bought e coupon and spoke with the owner, Alan Jackson, on a Friday to get a day and then on Sat to get a time. We agreed on noon. However at 230 the worker had not shown up. I called and talked with someone and about 20 later JJ called and said he just got the appt and could he do it on another day. We explained we had driven 1 hour to be there and wanted the work done that day. He came over and started on the tasks. He told me I needed some parts and I suggested that I go to the Home Depot which is 10 min away, but JJ said the work I had told him I needed done would not take all my paid for time and he would just run up there and charge me for the parts. He left at about 430 and said he would be right back. My son called him at 6 and he said he was hung up at the Home Depot and would stop the clock! He was going to charge me for the 1-1/2 hrs. Bear in mind, he need a sink hose, and a flow valve only. And there was loud music playing when my son talked to him, and the last time I checked there is no music in Home Depot. I called Alan to tell him I was not comfortable with paying for this time, which was excessive and non-productive. He said this was not characteristic of JJ and he would touch bases with him and get back to me, I did not hear from him. The following Monday JJ called my son and set a time to complete the repairs, which he and Alan did later that day. They charged for the part for the hose on he kitchen sink and the flow valve in the toilet only. After they left, my son noted the toilet still ran constantly after flushing--which was the original issue--and the kitchen repair was not done correctly because water was leaking under he sink. We called someone else who did the repair quickly and correctly, informing us the parts had to be replaced because they not even the right parts. I would not trust any work to them!!!!! <br />

THEY SHOWED UP 45 MINUTES LATE AND DIDN'T EVEN  CALL - SAID THERE WAS TRAFFIC. I TOLD THEM THEY SHOIULD HAVE CALLED!  THEY DID A PRETTY GOOD JOB PAINTING BOTH THE GARAGE WALLS AND FRONT DOOR, EXCEPT I HAD TO CLEAN UP THE DROPS OF PAINT INSIDE MY FRONT DOOR!  ALSO, I FOUND OUIT THE HELPER HAD USED MY FRONT LAWN HOSE AND DIDN'T REWIND IT OR TURN THE WATER OFF! <br />

Handy Man arrived late due to weather/other appointment.  Got to work on storm door but met challenge on the project and spent most of the time on that one item- great job on strengthening the door jamb to support the door.  He did continue on to the pocket door but beyond time for the 2-hr window.  He completed the job and we were billed for the additional time- Overall I am very pleased with the work accomplished but would have at appreciated a courtesy call to discuss the additional costs incurred.  Spoke with owner after the fact, we reached a compromise and ended the transaction in a very positive position.  I will use this company again for upcoming projects.

It went beautifully and they were wonderful. They called, and came over when they were supposed to.  I had a couple jobs that I had them do, and they did it all within 1 hour. I would definitely use them again.
