<p>I contacted handyman Extraordinaire as a prior customer for them to come out and estimate my repairs. The first time I called they told me that they would have a repairman call me back. A week later I had yet to receive a call, so I called the office once again. I spoke to the same office staff member who apologized to me for no one calling me back and told me that she would have someone call me shortly. I received a call back from her with the name of the repairman I should be expecting to call me. Shortly thereafter, I received a call from him and we setup a time to meet.</p> <p>The day of the estimate, he was at my home promptly and appeared well groomed and polite. I showed him the needed repairs and he would email them to me. I have yet to receive that email and it has been about a week and a half later.</p> <p>I decided to go with another company to do the repairs and wanted to express in this review how disappointed I was with how I was forgotten by them. </p>

No response at all. If he could not do the tasks or did not have time I would understand, but I wasted time waiting on him when I could have been using someone else.

Schedule an appointment to see the job. Gave. E an estimate and the did the job right then. Then he cleaned up after the job was completed. Quick and easy and very reasonable

I can't speak for all of the contractors that work for Handyman Extraordinaire, but I would not recommend Money and David who were sent out to do a full kitchen remodel for me. Things seemed to be going smooth at first, but the work was mediocre and as soon as I paid them any money, they became less and less responsive. This was the first time I have worked with general contractors and I did not have a good experience. <br /> First, when they laid the tile, they did not tile all the way back to the wall, so once the dishwasher was installed, it was not level and was moving out of place. I asked them if they should tile all the way to the wall, but they said it's not necessary. Now having spoken with other professionals, I have been told that the tile should always go all the way to the wall. The first red flag came up when I noticed after coming home one day that my water hose in the front yard had been cut off because a nozzle was stuck on it and they needed to use the hose. They didn't tell me they had cut off the nozzle, I was the one that discovered the cut hose and told them they needed to buy me a new one. Well, I got the new hose, but didn't realize until later on that they had put the expense of the new hose on my personal Home Depot account. Very frustrating. <br /> Once most of the work was done in the kitchen, there were just a few small details that needed to be wrapped up, so I went ahead and paid them for all of the work. That was a big mistake because once I paid them, they just stopped returning my messages. I could only get them to come by when I let them know my new dishwasher was clogged after using it for the first time, which was caused by them not installing it properly. I could tell that they were annoyed with me (probably because I texted them multiple times every day to see when everything was going to get finished) and they hardly acknowledge me when they came by this last time. They started to leave without letting me know, and I practically had to chase them down to get them to talk to me before they left. They were incredibly rude and had no intention of finishing what was left (which included framing in a window, leveling a wall that was added in, finishing trim work, securing the dishwasher...again, and removing all of the trash and debris from my garage). I ended up paying someone else to finish up their work and to go back and fix several things they did incorrectly. They also did poor electrical work and I have had issues with some of the new outlets they installed. Also, when they were ready to get a check from me, they gave me a number that was well over a couple thousand dollars more than the original quote. Luckily I had the original written estimate, and they said they did their math wrong when they did the estimate and it was "my lucky day" to be getting such a price. Seemed sketchy to me. <br />

The door was installed.  The caulking was not good as the next rain showed.  The door leaked like a sieve.  I went out after the rains quit and re-caulked around the door.  The door, when sliding closed, bumps the outside frame and the outside handle is now cracked. <br />

Mike gave us an estimate of $400 in January. I special-ordered a fiberglass door from Home Depot, and it arrived mid-February. He finally finished the work yesterday. It looks good and seems properly installed. Mike was always polite, never rude, always friendly and optimistic. He charged $60 over the estimate, which hadn't included a new threshold. The workers for this company are independents. In Mike's case, he was simply overwhelmed with jobs and is working 7 days/week, 12-14 hours a day. He wants to do well, but instead he ends up over-promising and under-delivering. For example, if spring hinges are that hard to install, look into it first before you say "no problem". Everything seemed like a problem when it came time to actually do it. Punctuality was non-existent. I wasn't comfortable pushing the issue, given the hours he's putting in. I haven't used other handyman services, and this may be how they all are. <br />

Jimmie showed up right on time, and I am so glad we called them.  He did a fantastic job!  When he encountered some unexpected issues with our ceiling, he knew exactly what to do.  He saved me a very long weekend! <br />

This is the second time I have used this service different handyman each time. I live outside of Tulsa. This handyman worked here for three of four half days in order to meet other customer needs. We discussed this and I agreed. Estimate was a bit less than final payment due to cost of supplies. Receipts were provided. <br />

Estimates and all repairs performed by Steve Gates. Steve came and looked at all things needing repairs, gave his opinion on issues related to each, and then got back to us within 24 hours with an estimate. He even recommended we get a second opinion and estimate. <br /> Steve explained that some repairs might take longer due to faucet supply line and valve corrosion (it did), but Steve's estimate stayed the same despite additional labor time. He even came back a second day at the time promised to finish the job. While we had already bought some materials for certain jobs based on style, Steve bought other parts only he'd know what to buy (related to faucet and toilet repairs).  <br /> Bottom line...it couldn't have gone better. Steve was professional, communicative, and followed through on every promise he made. We'll be calling Steve in the future. <br />
