Handyman in DMV

We had a very unique location in our basement and wanted a barn door. Since the location was not typical a significant amount of thought had to go into hanging and sealing the door gap. William came up with a plan and installed and painted the door. We also needed hardware installed on the door. The team did EXCELLENT work and I would hire them again. At times the team was not the easiest to connect with and they were late once. However, I am very satisfied with the work and the price was competitive.

Excellent. Professionally done at a good price. Spelled out exactly how they would fix it, provided a reasonably priced estimate, and did work as they said they would. NO BS or come on. I went through several contractors/estimates, all of which tried to sell me what I did not need at a much higher price. Handyman in DMV was on the money with what needed down and with the work. Will hire them again.

This service is extremely unprofessional. I hired them because of their price and because they responded first to my inquiry, although they couldn't schedule me for several weeks. When their technician finally came, the following happened: 1. He came 3 hours early, before I had had a chance to fully prepare for the visit. 2. The service sent a different employee than the one whose name they had supplied to me. 3. He did not have a record of my name, phone number, or the list of tasks I had sent by email. 4. He entered my apartment with no tools. 5. He did not speak or understand English well, and we had a very hard time communicating. 6. He was willing but disorganized -- would start a task and abandon it to begin another, or try to help me with things I could do myself, not what I had asked for. 7. He asked a number of inappropriate personal questions and suggested several times that we should go out for drinks or dancing. 8. He asked me to turn on music for him while he was working. 9. He disassembled my garbage disposal using two of my kitchen knives without asking permission. He then tried to put them back without cleaning them or telling me they had been used. He also borrowed my good kitchen towel without permission and tried to throw it away afterwards. 10. He took 1.5 hours to go to the store no more than 15 minutes away to buy a replacement disposal. 11. After 3.5 hours, he had only completed half of the tasks on my list, but I stopped him and told him to go. He overcharged me by half an hour at that point. 12. After installation, the disposal worked correctly, but the connection to the dishwasher was disturbed, and it stopped in mid-cycle full of dirty water. I asked the owner to come and fix it. He came after several days. The washer seemed to work for one cycle, then malfunctioned again. He has not responded to my request to return. 12. When I flatly told him not to send back the first technician, he never asked why. 13. He tried to charge me for the time to fix the problem caused by his worker's incompetence.

So appreciative of Handyman In DMV to put me on their schedule in such short notice. The man they sent, William, was professional , kind and efficient. I would not only hire them again, but will promote them here in my high rise building.

They were fabulous. They were very responsive with my phone calls. So, I called and actually talked to a human being. I really appreciated that. They gave me a date that they were going to be there and they were just there. They were very tidy, they cleaned up behind themselves. They just did an excellent job

Fantastic! William and his team at Handyman in DMV are fairly priced and do great work. We had them do drywall patching, new door installation, painting, as well as mount a TV, hang pictures, caulk the bathroom, install a ceiling fan, and minor electrical work in order to update the old outlets throughout the house. His company performs the work at a reasonable hourly labor rate and they didn't up-charge us for the materials. We were able to get all of that work done in about a work and only paid around $7,500 including materials! We will definitely be using them again.
