Quote for the work: the person who came out was very friendly and courteous. He was also very knowledgeable, listened well, and was able to articulate back to me the plan to address all the problem areas I described. He took the time to physically touch and look at the areas in question and at other secondary areas associated with the main problem areas. The scheduling: scheduling took a bit of time because this company only likes to get paid via Venmo or Credit card, so I mailed a bank check but once they received it they immediately scheduled the work for two days. The contract was done online and didn't take too much time to knock out. The agents were extremely friendly. Job: unfortunately, the execution of the job itself went not too great. Weeks after this job I had another job I was to get done, which is ongoing and I'll address in a separate review. This work was scheduled for the same two days in order to have all the crews working at the same time. Unfortunately, when the garage crew showed up to work on the other project I asked about the House crew and they said that they weren't aware of that work. They pulled one member of the garage work to checkout the house work but it ended up in just waiting for another person to show up on day two. Once the confusion was ironed out they sent a drywall team that did an excellent job, they sent a plumber/electrician that did an excellent job. The roofing person was very professional and friendly, and explained that they were unable to find the correct color shingles because the Home depot/Lowes were out and the factory were not making more due to Covid. They gave me the option of trying to source it myself or just remove it from the contract, i chose the latter. Overall, the house work, albeit done a day later than expected turned out well. Kudos to the team. Their call team were very responsive but Ben and Vita, the owners and shot callers for the crews were harder to reach due to their busy schedules. However, once reached they were very supporting and did a great job problem solving to address the issues. I rate them a 5 despite the scheduling issue because its Christmas Season and we are still under the Pandemic drama which resulted in some of Ben's crew calling in sick.

We calle Handyman On Call for this job and they came out right away to give us an estimate that was literally half of what we were quoted by another company. I let them know that we needed the job done quickly and they were out two days after our deposit cleared. The job was done right, we are happy with the results and the service, and we would rehire most definitely!

Handyman on Call came to provide me with an estimate for installing a beam that was required in my basement to provide additional support for a large jacuzzi tub in the bathroom above. The beam had been engineered, and I provided a drawing of what was needed. I was impressed with the company because first of all, Paul came to give me an estimate on the beam and some other items. He was very thorough and detail oriented. An estimate was forwarded to me with a complete description of the work to be done. This was followed to the letter by the crew who arrived very punctually and started with all the right equipment going down to the basement from the gitgo – laser level, radial saw, power nailer etc. ( I hate people who arrive without a laser level.) The job was completed perfectly within about 3 hours including full clean-up. I was really impressed and will certainly ask them back for future work. Real professionals.

Horrible. They sent out someone who seemed to have no idea what he was doing and when he "repaired it" it still would not close so he told this frail 83 year old woman to slam it with her hip to close it. When she complained to the company and asked for her money back, the company told her they would not refund her money and she would have to have another repair person from their company come out. She was upset because having an open/unlocked door is a huge security risk for an anyone, let alone an older person. She immediately called another contractor who was able to quickly diagnose it and fix it (in his own words, "10 minutes, and one screw") immediately. It was a very simple repair. I tried calling the company on her behalf and they refused to listen and argued (you know the type--they don't listen, they make excuses non-stop and then accuse you of talking over them). They never refunded her money. So she ended up paying a total of $350 for this repair. I honestly feel they took advantage of an older person because they knew they could. This is not the first time I have seen a contractor do this because they know most older folks don't have the stamina to continue to make their case.

Well and work completed on time, but high price would make me hesitate to hire again for minor repairs and small jobs.

I am happy to say that this is the best company I have hired in a long time. My house is not exactly new, so it is safe to say I have many projects which keep piling up!!! When I called "Handyman on Call", I had already been ignored by several other handyman services...(I guess because my projects were too small for them to care). But "Handyman on call" did care. They DID want my business). Dave (the general contractor), took down all of my project requests and gave me fair prices on all of them. I was pleasantly surprised to be given honest estimates. The work was scheduled immediately and Tony and Reuben did an excellent job (and I asked them to do a lot! If you are looking for a professional general contractor to do an excellent job, try Handyman on Call. I think after writing this review I am going to make another long list of projects and call them again!!! <br /> <br /> <br />

Service was called, and an estimator came out that afternoon.   The repair was made in a timely manner, and the finishing was of particularly high quality.  A keeper! <br />

This has been a horrible experience, I don't recommend using this company.  The one part of the process that went well was Clayton coming out to the house to perform a timely, very professional estimate.  Although the price seemed expensive, I was very impressed with Clayton and expected all the work to be done in a quality fashion.  We requested a brand new glass door for our basement shower as part of the process.  Clayton advised that he wasn't sure if that was in stock, if it was the work could begin immediately, if not it might take a few weeks.  I received a call to have the work scheduled and I asked if the shower door had arrived and the girl I spoke did not answer confidently but she said that she was told to set the appointment so she assumed it had.  The work began on a Monday, about 3 weeks from when we had the original quote.  Of the two gentleman that arrived (not Clayton), one spoke no English and one spoke broken English and it was difficult to communicate.  My wife was home to let them in and after a brief walk through they disappeared for 2 hours at Home Depot to get supplies.   <br /> One of the first tasks the spent time on was to repair the shower door in the basement.  After spending a few hours on this, they demonstrated how it was repaired to my wife.  She was unsure why they repaired the door instead of replacing it (per the quote), so she called me at work and I had to call the Handyman company.  They couldn't answer why it was repaired but after re-examing the quote the agreed to replace the door.  At this point, I asked when this could be done and they said they would have to order it.  Extremely disappointing as Clayton had stated they wouldn't start the work until after they had ordered the door and it arrived. They adequately repaired some damage to the drywall in our basement closet which backed up to the leaking shower.  However, the definitely did not clean the mold up that was underneath the drywall, they just put up new over top of it. <br /> They took down a piece of the Armstrong Tile ceiling in the bedroom to repair the warped pieces.  Once they removed a section, they told my wife that they could only repair it by taking down the ENTIRE ceiling and it would cost an extra $600 dollars.  At this point they couldn't put it back the way it was so we were held hostage to pay the extra money.  I called the management of this company to ask for some type of discount on this because we NEVER would have done this if we knew it would have cost this much.  When Clayton did the original estimate, he had access to the roof, it was a very low ceiling, he should have been able to determine that the whole roof needed to be re-done in 2 minutes if he would have looked. <br /> Finally, on Tuesday I received a call from someone who said they needed to come out and measure for the door.  Not sure why this was needed as Clayton took detailed measurements, I took off work Friday morning to meet with them.  They were supposed to arrive between 7:30AM and 8:00AM.  No one showed up.  I finally received a call asking me what time the appointment was supposed to be for, when I said 7:30-8:00, they said could they come out later, they didn't document the time.  I told them that I work and I couldn't stay at home any longer.  I now have to take off Monday to let them come to measure for the door.  I imagine it will take another couple of weeks after they measure to get the door in stock and come back out to the replacement. <br /> Bottom line is unorganized, inflexible and over-priced.  DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! <br />

<p>I paid them a lot of money, but they didn't do a good job. I am trying to find someone else. They were not good. They were supposed to have fixed it and they subcontracted something out. The people painted and checked with stuff. Within three months the siding fell off the house again and the leak was still there after we paid all the money. They just painted over it on the inside and it was not fixed so we lost a lot of money on it. They came out and they kept giving different estimates. Then they came back out to try to fix it and they would not fix it. They actually did answer the phone and they acted like they were trying to do something, but they did not do it. The would set up the appointment and then that morning they would say they could not come that day. We had to reschedule, like, four or five times. I took off work and they then they did not show up. They canceled so many times. They got here and they were acting like they were doing something. They were quick about it, but they did not do the job. </p>

<p>Called to get an estimate for a bathroom remodel in a very small row home bathroom.  The estimator by the name of Ray came to my home and gave me a decent price for what I wanted done.  He wrote up the contract right on the spot and said it would take at most two days to complete the project.  As a Teacher I thought I would take a Friday off and allow them to do the work on Friday and Saturday; therefore, giving me my bathroom back in use on Monday.  </p> <p>The contractors arrived and I even went over my expectations with them.  The project started and that is when issues started arising.  The contractors, who speak terrible English, started removing walls that were not authorized to be removed.  I immediately called the company and asked them why this was occurring.  The owners wife, Vita, got very rude and stated I had to pay for new drywall because the workers alleged that I told them to remove the drywall.  At no time did I authorize such an action.  After arguing and numerous yelling matches on the phone it was determined I would only have to pay for the cost of the drywall, not   </p> <p>the install.  I was told that the cost for two sheets of Green Rock would cost me $250.  Upon researching the cost of :"Green Rock" I discovered that once again I was being robbed.  Green Rock at Home Depot cost 15.00 a sheet.  </p> <p><br /></p> <p>Then came the time to put the plastic walls in the shower.  Well that couldn't happen because the individuals who installed the drywall didn't measure correctly.  At this point I had to have tile installed at an additional cost of $300.00.  I am almost 4000.00 in to a project that was estimated at $2650.00.  They claim they are taking money off my bill; however, I do not see where that has occurred.  </p> <p><br />Another issue arose when the company sent out plumbers to the house to install my shower.  Since all the drywall was removed there were now pipes that had to be replaced.  Now I my cost went up another $250.  At this point in the project I am completely fed up with this company and am in touch with a lawyer because this company has been sanctioned numerous times over the years.  Steer away from this company at all cost.  The company is run by individuals who are native English speaking and have a difficult time communicating.  The estimator is shady as well and cannot do math because I am now at 550.00 over what I wanted to spend.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>If any other customers have had this issue I am willing to discuss some type of joint lawsuit.  There has to be a way to stop individuals like this who own the company from doing shady business like this..  </p> <br />

They are good but too expensive. They are quick, prompt and do good work.

Came out, did the required work and wrap up the job very quickly. I was extremely satisfied with this service.
