Anthony Beasley's name was given to me by Angies List. He calls his business "Affordable Handyman". We agreed on 3 projects. He did not finish the first, but demanded his second installment "in order to pay his crew". He had cashed a check for $825, stipulated for building materials he had priced at Home Depot. There was no delivery. Home Depot had no record of an order. I asked to be reimbursed the $825 for materials. He refused. I also asked for the itemized receipt he had stated would be provide. Her refused. In our final conversation he said he would only deliver the materials to me if he was first paid the remaining $500 for the unfinished paint job. He also stated he would not give me the itemized receipt, or time to review the materials before he unloaded. I again asked to be reimbursed and he refused. He does not have a regularly employed crew. He had great difficulty understanding directions on placement of the structure of the second project. He clearly is not an experienced contractor. His 'contract' had no Company Name, no address. He scribbled his name and phone number. He has a separate website that lists his address as 59 Oakley Street, Portland, Maine. Angie's List has his current address as 27 Nancy Road, Buxton, ME 04093 Do not be taken in by his sad stories. Do NOT hire this man. I now have to go to Small Claims Court to recoup my money. *His crew, two people, were hard workers and very polite. One of them said my house was his first, and last, job with Tony based on what he witnessed.
