The ceiling fan was an extra.  The other work took almost no time, he gave me a great deal to come back another day and install the ceiling fan, which was on a porch, and required the installation of some extra support beams. <br />

<b>Terry way under estimated how long this job would take, he said he needed 1 ½ days to complete, it took 4 different days over 3 weeks to complete.  For the most part he complete the job as agreed to, except the wall and ceiling were to be patched and sanded ready for paint but he left a few spots looking shabby and had to be reworked.  My main issue with Terry?s work is, he rewired an outlet with an open ground, when I called him he knew exactly what I was talking about.  So why leave it like this, it?s not safe and not what I paid for?  He came out again to resolve the issue, but to my surprise it appears he only connected the common line to the earth ground, therefore tricking the outlet tester to read correct.  I?ve since called Terry to ask him to explain what he did, I?m still waiting for a call back.  This is NOT to building code and if I have an electrical fire, I?ll point the Fire Investigator right to Terry.  If you expect the quality work to building codes don?t call Terry. </b> <br />

Poor job. While the dimmers technically worked, he had dimmers that were two different colors. They look horrible. Also some were misaligned so you can see into the wall in some areas. Also he installed dimmers with bright indicator lights even when they were "off", so they bother me in my bedroom. Also the dimmers were poor quality and seem to only dim to ~50% rather than my other previous dimmers that went down to ~10%.  <br /> <br /> Overall, I'll have to remove the dimmers he installed and install new ones. Thus, the job was a waste of money. <br /> <br /> Even worse was the horrible waste of time. Since the botched job, he made 3 appointments with us and missed all of them (once every week). He was unreachable by phone and had no good reason. For his 3rd (and last appointment), we advised him we were fine with him not wanting to come back. We just told him to tell us so and we would find a different handyman/electrician. He assured us he would come today. Obviously he failed to come <br /> <br /> In addition, he bought (using my money) devices that I don't know how to use and don't think actually work. He also seemed to have broken an outdoor switch while doing his "work." I'm also out the money I spent buying relatively expensive bulbs he said he'd install (and didn't). <br /> <br />

Arrived on time. Electrical repair  - Terry quickly diagnosed the problem and repaired it. Door knob - a setup that I am not familiar with. Terry determined what part had broken and installed a replacement. <br />

Terry was here on time, understood what I needed and did it. Was very professional and likeable. Will be referring him to family and friends.

It seas a little bit of  problem to set up th first appointment, but once here, He seemed very competent with broad experience. <br />

I needed to hang a couple of mirrors, and a few bathroom fixtures, but I've never had luck with stud finders and I didn't want to make a mess of things with extra holes and such.  I decided to search the list for a "Professional Handyman", so that I could avoid the hassle of "do-overs".  <br /> I called Terry and he answered right away, which is a big plus.  He's local to me, which was another plus.  He was very pleasant and even came out right away to look at my place and get a feel for how much time and effort my job would require.  Ultimately we agreed that the job was not that complicated and that he might be able to squeeze me in between other jobs.  <br /> He was able to squeeze me in after a job yesterday, and before the end of his work day.  I agreed to pay him the "Overtime Rate" because I didn't want to wait around to get these finishing items taken care of.  <br /> When he arrived, he was very pleasant and got right to work.  I do want to emphasize that he's very polite and generally a nice guy.  Unfortunately he left me with a lot to fix and clean up.  Here's the list:  He inaccurately measured the spot where one of the bathroom mirrors was to go.  It was too high and therefore there are extra holes in the walls that I now have to patch up and paint.  I asked that the towel rack be level with the mirror hardware; it's not.  It's slightly lower than the mirror hardware and it's immediately noticeable when approaching the bathroom door.  He installed the robe hooks on the back of my bathroom door as requested.  He didn't check to see if the screws he was using were too long for the door, hence, there are two little volcano shaped holes poking out the back of the bathroom door, opposite the robe hooks.  I asked him how he planned to fix that, and he said, "You can tap the holes with a hammer and it should be level again".  The holes were drilled straight through, and the paint was protruding outward - hammering was just going to flatten it out but the doors (brand new solid core), were still going to have two obvious tiny volcano looking protrusions sticking out of them.  The paint has to be peeled away, sanded level, patched with putty, sanded, then repainted.  <br /> Last was the double curtain rod over the front window.  My wife asked for a 3" drop from the ceiling to the curtain rod.  When that was done, and he began to gather his things, I walked into the room, and the hook on the far right was visibly higher than the other three hooks to the left.  I asked him if he'd noticed that, and he said he had not, but admitted he'd miss-measured.  He rehung that hook - three of the hooks are 2.25 from the ceiling, and one of the hooks is 2.5" from the ceiling.  That's how it is at this point.  So I have to fix just about everything. <br /> At the end of the job, I paid him and as he was leaving, he asked for a favorable rating.  I really feel bad leaving this negative rating, because he was truly a nice guy; however, In all honesty, I have quite a bit of work ahead of me to repair the mess. <br /> My wife had to clean up all the drill shavings left behind.  <br /> Good luck. <br />

We hire Terry to do some work in my mother's house since my mom had a hard time having someone come down to do handy work around the house.  I am glad we found Terry to do minor jobs around the house, since we are not able to do them. Terry did a nice job and he is nice guy.  We have another job for him next week. <br />

Services were performed and the lights were replaced.  However, I don't think he tested the lights because some of the motion lights stay on all the time at night and one of the motion lights only comes on at night when I have to stand under it and wave my arms in front of it.  He needed to make some adjustments which is why I don't think he tested them. <br />

Terry's been a great help with the new place I moved into.  Quite frankly there isn't much that he is not able to do.  In addition he helps come up of handy ideas of how to use what you already have.  He's very experienced and treats Angie's members very well.  I'd highly recommend him for any of your projects around the house including handy work and beyond. <br />

It went fine. First Terry did some electrical work for me and then he came back to do some handy man chores and was terrific. I will definitely call him again. <br />

We arranged a date and time for Terry to come back to our location and complete a job. He no-showed and we were unable to get a hold of him. Very unprofessional and caused us to miss a deadline. We cannot recommend depending on Terry to complete a job, let alone show up at all. <br />

It went well. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Update of review: Given his subsequent failure to follow-up, shoddy work, and wasting of my time, changing my review to an F. Incidentally, for the original Big Deal he had promised to have his "friend" remove the large amounts of trash. After several phone calls, his "friend" never came. Not a big surprise after he showed his true colors and failed to show up for 3 separate appointments in a row.

It was fine. He did a good job. We asked him to give us the price of some other work but he hasn't done it yet.

Everything went pretty well with them. The worker was fine. The only complaint we had is that he left a little mess. He was very prompt.
