Hartland Electric, LLC

I was scammed. They came to my house to fix an issue regarding several of my outlets and lights being out. After 1.5 hours of work they left and charged me $337 saying the job was complete but nothing was fixed. I asked what they did and they claimed they fixed some burned up neutral wire in an outlet on the second floor. All the same outlets and lights are still out. I told the superintendent Jeff about this and he didnt care said to give him $200 to keep working. I said no and called someone else. New person came and after ten minutes fixed the problem. It was the GFCI in the downstairs bathroom. The company refuses to get back to me, refuses to own up to their mistake, and continues to lie. Horrible company. Dont use these frauds. I had to fight to get my money back from the bank.

We purchased a whole house Generac generator from Hartland Electric in October of 2021 with a 10 year warranty. Hartland Electric claims to be a Generac authorized dealer. We had to pay for it up front, at that time. We were told it would be at least 6 months before it would be available. Eight months later on July 5, 2022 it was installed. It exercised weekly as it should have. Our first power outage was in late August. The generator worked as it should have according to the Mobil Link app. Imagine our surprise when we returned home only to find the outside cabinet covered in oil. When we opened the lid, the entire contents were covered with oil and black flecks. Upon contacting Hartland electric they came out and tried to clean up the mess. Jeff changed the oil and filter and let it run while he went to other calls. He came back 3 hours later and again, everything was covered with oil. He gave us a customer service phone number to Generac and washed his hands of us. Jeff and the owner (his wife) did not return any phone calls after that. Basically took our money and left us high and dry with a defective Generac Generator. Very poor customer service.

Excellent. Two electricians completed the work efficiently and competently. Very polite and respectful too. Cleaned up after as well.

It went excellent. He installed it directly beneath our electrical panel box and explained what the lights meant, how it worked, etc. Because we had hired them for other electrical work in the past, they gave us a special price on the surge protector.

Hartland Electric is everything you want in an electric company. The office staff was patient and helpful. AJ and his apprentice were professional, knowledgeable, efficient, and friendly. Prices were very reasonable. We suffered a power surge from the electric company that fried more than half the appliances, some outlets and a breaker. AJ told the electric company his suspicions, which they confirmed. After they fixed their problem, he did a thorough exam of the house and fixed everything he could, even adding a surge protector to our breaker panel for a reasonable cost. I simply will not use anyone else for my electric needs.

Excellent work, very professional and punctual

It went well. He suggested a few alternative places to install them and discussed what work would need to be done for each possibility, giving prices. We then suggested a proposed scenario and he installed them accordingly, which was less work and money. It has proven to be a good idea, they are keeping our basement much warmer and we are glad we chose this electrician to install them. They look like they were originally installed on the walls, he did such a good job.

A.J. The service tech was awesome. Very informative and explained everything so I understood. Company was very prompt and even moved around schedule so they could get to my house sooner. I will definitely use again in the future.

A part of my circuits would shut down and we couldn't figure out why because the fuse box didn't seem to be the problem. But it was a very complicated thing that they discovered. They really stuck with it and worked through a whole lot of stuff to see what it was. What it was was a part of wiring came lose up in a rather secluded place and it was just amazing. The man in charge was there with an intern and between the 2 of them they would try all different things and call back an forth, this and that and everything. They really were through. They got it solved, it was a complex problem and they just stuck with it.

Had to pay  $20 for an them to come out and give an estimate for electrical work. Asked questions but got "this is how it is done" answers.  Had a coupon from their website that the rep did not honor.  They never followed up but I found a terrific electrician who addressed the issue at a fraction of the cost Hartland Electric provided.  Not very customer service oriented and would not recommend them.

They were very accommodating and helpful and worked to get us into their schedule so that our project wasn't delayed. The final bill was exactly what the estimate said it would be, even with a few little changes that ended up happening. Very prompt and professional services and helpful over all. Will be having them back soon for a transfer switch installation.

The reason I chose Hartland: -Jeff was able to provide a partial house generator solution that met my basic needs while saving me thosands of dollars on the overall remodel budget. His design will accomodate a future whole house generator with minimal rework, and allows me to take my portable generator with me if I chose. -Jeff and his team spent quality time to listen to my requests, evaluate my neeeds, and recommend an excellent solution. They also found and corrected mistakes from work I had done previously by a different local larger firm (this work actually had passed inspection, yet wasn't caught). - Scheduling was a challenge for us right before holidays, but Sharon and Toni were very accomodating and made the whole job a very pleasant experience. (this is not easy in the skilled trades business). It matters who you chose! - The difference for me in chosing them was their ability to communicate clearly, time effectiveness, and overall value. Jeff showed me his credentials as a Master electrician. Jeff was able to give me a quote while at my home (not the typical wait three days scenario with most contractors). I reviewed, accepted, gave a deposit and we were scheduled by close of that day! - I highly recommend them as a stable family owned and operated business. Everything completed as expected.

<p>Harland Electric has been a pleasure to work with.  I've used them for various electrical jobs for 3 years now, and also for generator service.  They are very professional, communicate well, and are punctual...or if my job is scheduled for later in the day and they have a delay from an earlier job going long, they call and update us on timing.  They stay late if needed to get the job done.  Most importantly they do great work and stand behind their work.  For our most recent job, one task was installing a new bathroom fan.  They did and it was working when they left.  That night, it shorted out.  I called the next morning and they were out in the afternoon.  They found the issue...which seems like a design flaw in the cheap fan that I bought...fixed it and didn't charge for the follow up.  </p> <p>Jobs are quoted once they come onsite and have seen the work that needs to be done.  Pricing seems fair.  Once they work out details of the work that needs to be done, they have a standard outline/guideline for pricing which gives me confidence that they aren't arbitrarily marking the job up.  I probably could find a cheaper electrician, but professionalism, dependability, and quality work are worth a little more to me.  Hartland Electric has earned my confidence for their consistent quality and professional service and we now consider them our go-to company for electrical work.</p>

They arrived on time and very very friendly. The work was done in a very timely fashion and done very well. <br>I would highly recommend this company,and they will be back to do more work for me. <br>I would give them an A+ <br>  <br> <br>

I called Hartland Electric to install 4 additional outlets in our barn for fans, heated waterers and heating pads for our animals. They scheduled a time and the electrician called me ahead of arrival to get more info so that he would be sure to have the necessary materials on the truck. He arrived on time with an apprentice. We discussed what I wanted and he took the time to take me through some different options and what he recommended. He added a piggyback breaker to an existing circuit after being careful to talk with me about what we were using, how many watts, etc. Then he added a new circuit with 4 outlets, one of them a GFCI. <br /> All in all they were there about 90 minutes. They did a good job and everything was neat and buttoned up when they were finished. Everything was labeled very well to avoid confusion including the existing stuff that was there already. They didn't bother our animals and made sure that all wiring and anything else potentially dangerous was installed where we could reach it but the animals couldn't. Afterwards they took the time to give me a ton of information on whole house generator options since we are also considering that work, too. I will call Hartland Electric again in the future when we need electrical work done. <br /> <br />

They were able to come out the very next day to do the quote and service. Jeff was very professional and explained everything very well. He was then able to complete the service same day. We are very happy with his work! <br />

Brandon and his assistant were awesome! They gave me an accurate quote and got right to work. They were polite and hustled to get the job done. They took no breaks except when I brought pizza in. They worked 12 hours to get the job done, even though they were expecting it only to take 8. It went so well, that out of appreciation, I invited them to a party I was throwing that weekend. I have a few more electrical jobs left, and will be calling Hartland again and insisting Brandon come out to do the job. First class all the way! <br />
