I couldn't be more thrilled! I called Havard on my day off and Kenneth and crew came right over. They immediately identified the problems and solved them...all without having to stop and pick up parts. Needless to say, I was happy...especially on my day off during the holidays! I would highly recommend Havard Plumbing for your plumbing needs.

In Nov. 2011 Lowes sent Ken Havard to install a dishwasher we had purchased. On his completion Mr. Havard stated that if we needed anything else we should call him as he got a contractor discount.

In August 2014 I noticed that our 19 Gal. booster water heater was leaking. I only need a 19 Gal. to provide hot water to the master bath shower until the main hot water heater on the other side of the house can take over.

I shut the water and electric down and called Mr. Havard as I did not have a butane torch to handle the copper fittings. I would like to note here that the shut off valve worked perfectly. Mr. Havard responded and agreed to replace the tank at material cost and labor.

Mr. Havard drove to Lowes (2MI) and purchased a 28 Gal. tank because he said the 19 Gal. and 28 Gal. cost the same. I determined later that the real reason was so he could charge me for a thermal expansion tank that was not required on the 19 Gal. tank. Also it was not required because the main water tank on the same system already had a thermal expansion tank.

Mr. Havard cut out a large section of my premium copper plumbing and replaced it with inferior composite plastic hose. He charged me $28.64 for a shut off valve that Lowes had for $7. After I priced the water heater, expansion tank, valve, etc. at Lowes it turned out Mr. Havard charged 40% more for the material than what it cost retail. Expect for the valve, nothing was itemized on his invoice.

Although I had no designs on Mr. Havard's contractor discount, neither did I expect to be gouged on the material when the agreement was cost plus labor. His labor was more than enough at 162.5/hr.

I was impressed with Havard's promptness and courtesy. He gave us a reasonable estimate for the water heater and was knowledgeable and professional. He also fixed the toilet problem while he was here, and I was so grateful for that!

They are good but they are pricey. Quality of service was good and for professionalism, they showed up on time. They were recommended to me.

The first day was spent removing the old toilets and removing the debris that had clung to the drainage pipes. One toilet was completely installed while the other one had to wait until the drainage pipe became available. It was sort of an inconvenience, but at least there was one bathroom and we were able to use and therefore able to remain at home.

The second day was spent installing new pipe under both toilets and replacing all the old sewer lines that ran beneath the house. All the while, while the work was going on they conducted themselves in a very professional manner and explained what was going on as the job progressed.

Also they cleaned up the excess material and hauled it away upon completion of the job.

As for Kenneth Havard and his crew, I will not hesitate to recommend their services to anyone who needs plumbing services performed on anything that needs replacing or repairing.

If given the opportunity to grade Mr. Havard and his crew, it would be an A+.

Thank you for your time and attention.

Waterline going into the house got a leak. The leak was due to faulty
installation. Expecting to mortgage my house to pay a huge plumbing
repair bill I was very pleasantly surprised that the repair was simple
and quick and corrected the problem created by a previous plumber who
did not know what they were doing.
I would use Havard again.
In fact I got quotes from them to fix a few leaky outdoor faucets and
the price was very reasonable.
At the recommendation of a friend I called Mr. Ken Havard on his cell phone at 7am and explained I had a leak from somewhere behind my kitchen wall. The sheetrock and cabinets were wet and water was seeping up in between the tiles through the grout. He told me he had a full morning but would get to me as soon as possible. He called earlier than I expected and met me at home. He and his employee couldn't have been more professional. He cut the back of the cabinet out under the sink and traced the problem to 60-year-old galvanized and copper pipes which needed to be replaced. This was a quick fix today but I'll be using him to repair/replace all of the disintegrating pipe in the kitchen walls and under the house. He was good about showing me everything he was seeing and explaining what was going on. As a single woman, I really appreciate this. He also showed me what was in good shape didn't need to be replaced. For 2 hours he worked (and prayed under his breath that he wouldn't find anything worse), cleaned up beautifully and presented me with a very reasonable bill for the amount of work he performed. I'm very pleased and highly recommend him.
Mr. Havard came puntually, removed old toilet and installed new toilet. As usual, everything went well. I wouldn't use anyone else for plumbing.
He is a perfectionist...he doesn't like to leave anything half done. He also is great to use for someone to oversee other projects. He has been helping me while I've been out of town. He looks out for his customers and gets what they need so they don't have to make special trips. He keeps me informed, when he is coming, what he is doing. He doesn't put other customers ahead of you. This guy is a person to have on your side, hands down, all around great guy.
