My air conditioning is finally back on ? Julien who is the technician to fix my air conditioning today, he is so professional and knowledgeable. I decided to join membership with Haven Air to do maintenance for my unit. I strongly recommend their service if you ever need one and Price is also reasonable .

Readers Digest Version: Wow! When looking for a contractor, can across a review that started with "Look no further. Simply call Haven and be prepared to be impressed! A slightly longer version with details: Wanted to replace a 35 year old HVAC system from when the house was built. Did the typical internet search to find larger contractors with a minimum of 4+ star review. Called several. Most were wanting to know if the existing system was working versus understanding the opportunity was to replace the entire thing. Believe that they were looking for a non-working unit where they could leverage “need it now”. These contractors did not seem to listen, or understand, what was desired, or wanted. To this customer, believe they were pushing what they had, or wanted to get off their books. It should also be said that several were no shows. Continued the quest. Decided to attempt to find a not so large company that was privately owned with good reviews. Came across Haven Air Conditioning and Mighty Ducts (the parent company). Saw Ricky F.’s review on Yelp.com. Sounded interesting. Called them. Julien promptly came out to provide a quotation. He listened and directly answered questions. Took time to climb into the attic to inspect original ducts. After some discussion, he was able to put together a system that matched expectations at a competitive price point while sitting at the table. Entire process was the easiest of the multiple quotes received. Job was scheduled. Did not take long for Julien, and the team at Haven, to exceed expectations. A walk thru inspection was preformed prior to installation. Was introduced to the “Basecamp” tracking system used by Haven which allows all stakeholders to see the progress of the job and status of the permits. During the actual installation the Haven team took the time to do the small things right, ensuring that the system would meet expectations. They made sure team knew, and understood, the names of the people that they would come in contact with, using pipe benders for all lines, and keeping a clean and organized work space. As part of this job, the original ducts were replaced to get improved circulation in several areas of the house. Julien noticed that the master return for the original system was both undersized, and restricted as built. He could have slapped the new system into the existing space and been done (One contractor said this is a great "Friday job", simple in and out), or use his knowledge and expertise to make it right. Thankfully, Julien and his team chose to do the later and effectively rebuilt the return system to ensure adequate operation without up-charging. After two full days of installation, we are the proud owners of an outstanding HVAC system, which works much better than the original system. Circulation was both improved and balanced. The return now draws enough volume. The noise levels outside, and inside, the house have significantly decreased while the comfort level has increased. Thank you to Haven! Concluding Remarks: During the extensive researching of different HVAC systems and offerings, one of the most important things learned was the installation, not necessarily the brand of equipment, is typically the single largest contributing factor to system reliability. A key feature that Haven provides, is their three (3) year parts and labor warranty. This is in contrast to the others that only offered the standard part warrantee from the manufacturer. Haven applies their knowledge and experience, spends the time to do it right the first time, so they do not have to do it a second time. While we did not research all of the HVAC contractors in Southern California, our perspective is Haven is absolutely at the top of their industry. Their price point was very reasonable, work ethic was outstanding, and attention to detail should prevent most, if not all, installation related issues. It is our belief that we can recommend Haven, Julien, and the wonderful Haven team to anyone wanting a quality system, done right, for a competitive price with the highest confidence that you too will be more than satisfied and very glad you too called Haven!

We've been using Mighty Ducts for many years now as Andreas has worked his magic in keeping our very old HVAC system running way beyond its normal lifespan. Our family refers to him as "MacGyver" since he was always able to work the impossible. Marie and Andreas are very professional to deal with, always fair and honest in their work and often go way beyond the call of duty to please their customers. When the time came recently for us to invest in a new full replacement system, we wanted the Mighty Ducts (MD) team to do the work. We received three different quotes and chose MD because their quote had the smartest solution to all of the things we wanted (other companies didn't bother to learn what we wanted). Since we've never purchased a new HVAC system we had a lot to learn about the details. Andreas took his time, explained everything in as much detail as we needed and gave us his professional opinion whenever we asked --- even if it meant less money in his pocket. He's a stickler for the details and we like that. The actual work took three days as it was a big project in the middle of summer. The MD team was amazing as they were incredibly clean in their work, always professional and respectful of our home while working long, hot hours to get the system completed on time. We were amazed at the many details that the MD team did to make our new HVAC system a great investment. They didn't just slap in some new equipment and move on (like other companies wanted to do) and Andreas knows his stuff --- which gave us great confidence. We're now enjoying the fruits of their labor as our house maintains a very comfortable temperature thanks for the dual zone Lennox system we had installed. We will continue to refer our friends to this highly professional company and we can't say enough positive things about our experience in working with them. They were there for us when we needed repairs to our old system and they were there for us in helping find the right HVAC for our needs. We're very happy!

On the day of scheduled installation, after various testing and retesting of the upstairs and downstairs units, I was told that the low pressure in the downstairs unit was caused by a minor issue and the whole unit would NOT require replacement. Instead of paying about $6000 for servicing both units and replacing one, I paid a total of $680 tune up and service both units and replace a control panel on the lower unit. This type of honesty and integrity from a company is very rare and the reviews on this website were on target. I would never consider calling another AC/Heating company when I have a problem and highly recommend them. You guys are the best!

Mighty Ducts has a silly name but they were the most professional group I dealt with. We selected a high end system and they handled every aspect with care and competence. They explained the options and suggestions. They took care of all the permits and rebate filings. I could have purchased a similar system for a little less but the installation process was handled so well that we are glad we went with them. They took the time to go over what was done, how to program the new thermostats and followed up to make sure there were no problems. They have my highest recommendation.

Andreas Laux and his entire crew were absolutely the best. Courteous, clean, efficient and knowledgeable. I have used Mighty Ducts before to test the old (1991) Rheem condenser when the problem both times was primarily with my old Zinsco 125 amp main electric service panel capacity and breakers. Mighty Ducts also arranged for an a 3rd party asbestos abatement company to remove many feet of asbestos wrapped metal ducts (paid separately) before Mighty Ducts started work. I can honestly say that my dealings with Mighty Ducts was the absolute best I have ever had with any licensed contractor. EVRYTHING is working great so far. The work, the equipment, Andreas' skilled, careful design of just the right system for our 1750 sq. ft. single story home (built 1967) was first-rate. Please don't expect it, but Andreas did one huge, unrelated thing for me, without charge, that had been a thorn in my side for about 12 years. We purchased a brand new GE Monagram range vent hood 12 years ago. The installation was improper because of a 6" drop-down soffit in the kitchen that didn't meet GE specifications for clearance, ceiling to floor. Also a transition piece of sheet metal from the damper opening/closing of vent hood to the ducting going to the roof vent was not secured and dropped down on the damper preventing it from opening. That caused one of the main circuit boards to fail. GE would not repair it (I even had an extended warranty) because they could not move the two overlapping stainless steel stacks above the hood where the electronics are without completely dropping the hood down. GE sent me all the likely parts to fix the failure but I had to get the clearance fixed before GE would touch it. Along comes Mighty Ducts, and totally outside the scope of their work, Andreas, one of his crew and I dropped the hood down, fixed the unsecured transition duct piece and installed a new circuit board GE had sent me 12 years ago. My wife had over the years described the range hood (original cost about $1800) as the most expensive non-functioning decoration in our house! NOW, thanks to Andreas and Mighty Ducts our range hood is FINALLY working! As for HVAC, I will always use Mighty Ducts Heating and Cooling. Such dedication to their work and customers. Oh yes, we have since also upgraded our main electric service panel with a new 200 amp one and all new breakers.

Buying an older home you need to know that when you need things changed it's not going to be easy. This was the case for an HVAC replacement. I reached out to 4 companies and listened to their pitch. It ranged from smaller companies to Costco. I received 4 different proposals ranging from 15K-40K. Techs recommending 6-7 ton units and some multiple units (upstairs and downstairs). Of all the proposals and discussions I had Mighty ducts did the best job of explaining to me the solution they wanted to present and why. The "why" part was the most lacking in the other proposals and it is one of the reasons I decided to go with Mighty Ducts. They were not the cheapest proposal but they weren't the most expensive. However they appeared to be the most knowledgeable AND the one they made me the most comfortable on my decision. The bullet points below sum up my experience: -Andreas is passionate about his job and it shows. For any new system or if you need a system designed insist on him. -Professional team. From his HVAC techs to the team in the office. Techs always put down the tarps in the area they were working, always put on the dust booties. The team at the office were always responsive and easy to get a hold of to pass along information. -They did a great job setting expectations. I hold this as a very important trait to a contractor. It goes to how well they can size a job, how well they can communicate, their honesty and integrity. I have had an opposite experience with a vendor on Angie's list and it was very frustrating. -They cleaned up after themselves EVERY night. This engagement lasted just under 2 weeks and it was nice to come home to clean house. -They ran into challenges and they dealt with it. An old house like ours, things are going to come up and they dealt with every challenge with thought out solutions that were either at a reasonable cost or thrown in. -They are registered with the California rebate program. This was the only company that promoted this program with significant rebates. In fact the mfr rebate paid for a bbq smoker i've had my eye on. Essentially with the rebates I was able to get a higher end and more efficient system at the same price of the mid level system. Not sure why other companies didn't promote it and perhaps its because its time consuming to be aware of all of the programs and handle the majority of the work for you to get the rebates filed. All in all this was a good experience and I was very pleased with the end result.

<p>This review is for Mighty Ducts Heating and Cooling Inc. located in Orange County, California.</p> <p>We are extremely pleased with the work performed by Mighty Ducts in replacing our HVAC (heating and air conditioning) system. We heartily recommend them to others.</p> <p>We arranged for 4 different companies to give us estimates on replacing our HVAC and ductwork. While not the cheapest, neither was Mighty Ducts the most expensive. The owner Andreas Laux came to our home to perform the estimate. He was easy to talk to, there was no hard sell. He listened to what ideas we had, and then he discussed options with us in detail. He obviously knew what he was doing and had even done work in a nearby subdivision.</p> <p>Andreas checked over our existing system (including trudging around in our attic which has no flooring) and measured each of our rooms to determine recommended performance. Afterwards we were emailed a very detailed invoice of the work to be performed, including tonnage, stages, SEER and EER ratings of the proposed system, model numbers, and our choice of thermostats. They also emailed us the specifications on each item.</p> <p>We were able to research the recommended equipment on our own. It was not difficult for us to choose Mighty Ducts with all the information provided.</p> <p>The first day of the two day installation, Andreas and two others (Matt and Julien) came to our home to perform the work. They were very careful to cover our hardwood flooring. When they were done for the day they cleaned up everything. You could not tell that they had been in the house. I was given a hand-drawn layout of the system of ducts in the attic, and where the adjustable baffles were located. The next day, the work was completed by Matt and Julien. They tested the system. Again, they cleaned up everything. Honestly, I believe the house was cleaner than it had been before they started work the day before. </p> <p>Everyone I interacted with in their office (including Marie and Audrey) was polite and understanding when setting up various appointments, such as the California HERS inspection (at our request) and for the inspection and work required by the City of Irvine.</p> <p>Note: If you live in Irvine, the attic unit must be "hard-wired" and controlled by a switch rather than be plugged into a dedicated outlet (as the original unit had been). Mighty Ducts responded quickly to do all the work necessary (no additional fees), and we passed the inspections.</p>

I had installed two Nest thermostats and unfortunately, the heat did not work after installation. Troubleshooting with Nest Support did not work and they suggested some Nest Pro HVAC contacts. I found Mighty Ducts also listed in Angie's list and gave them a call. Although they go through a call service, they were punctual in returning the call and scheduled to come out later the same day. <br /> Andreas spent some time troubleshooting and explaining what he was doing throughout the visit. I am happy to say that both Nest thermostats and heat are working thanks to Andreas and Mighty Ducts. I would highly recommend them to anyone in the area looking for HVAC service. <br />
