It was great. Wilbert was very friendly and professional, and when i was missing a part, he was happy to come by the next day and finish the job. I had him install light fixtures and dimmers on a bunch of switches. He was very pleasant and professional, and $399 for 8 hours was a great deal.
I had purchased the deal for 8 hours of work for $399, however the work took longer that 8 hours and he had to return the next day to finish up. I has no problem with that. He was polite and very courteous, arrived a little late, but it was snowing. He stayed late to put in the full 8 hours. I was pleased with the completed work.
"Customer really didn't understand electrical material that she wanted to buy, I tried to explain to her what she needed. but its hard to do with some one who don't know, There was two guys on site. and once again I go beyond the scope of the contract and still get a bad label"

I bought the deal and it was a total rip-off. I sent the provider a list of what needed to be done, including moving several light fixtures but he came without the needed new outlet boxes. He said he didn't know what moving a light meant! After looking at the job, he and his "helper" went to get supplies and instead of going to the closest store disappeared for almost 2 hours! Why he didn't continue working and send the helper out I don't know. He them started the work - and after 2 hours said time was up. I talked him into completing the ceiling fan installation and then he left. I paid for the material and let him know I wasn't happy and he said he'd come back and do the rest of the work for a discounted price. It seemed like a bait and switch deal to me and my lawyer daughter agreed. So for $400, I basically 21/2 hours of work - moving a vanity light a few inches higher and installing a ceiling fan into an existing light fixture. He helper did nothing . When the electrician went to get a tool from the truck, the helper went with him - another 15 minutes of 2 men wasted! Although I paid for 4 hours with 2 men, I got 2 and a half with one guy Iwould never hire this person again and don't trust these Angie List deals!!!
The arrived, explained that work would take longer than our 2 hours paid for. The price paid seemed high considering that we had already bought two hours of service
I purchased an Angie's List Special for Circuit Panel Labeling and Home Electrical Inspection. The "deal" was to include proper labeling of the electrical panel, testing of all alarms, outlets, checking GFIs and ARC fault breakers, checking all electrical panels, main breakers, and circuit breakers, and evaluating electrical service cable and grounding system.
What they actually did was an incomplete job of mapping the house circuits against the breakers in the main panel. Where I have
several "tandem" or "piggyback" breakers, they did not treat them as separate breakers and did not differentiate which side controlled which circuits. There were a couple of breakers that they could not identify which circuits they protected. They did not test the GFI's to see if they were functioning properly, did not check the external breakers (e.g. at the A/C compressor), and did not check the grounding.
The guys were very knowledgeable and knew what they were doing.
I required a new electrical outlet to be installed in a very tight space. The guys devised a game plan and it was smooth sailing from there. Outstanding work!
Appointment was ok. He responded quickly to my appointment request and I explained that I wanted to have an outlet installed and hide the wires for my tv behind the wall to another outlet. He arrived about 30 minutes early - which isn't a bad thing - but I would've appreciated a phone call just to give me heads up. When he got there he actually said that running wires behind the wall wasn't something he did - which would've been nice to know when we had the initial phone call - but he was able to install the outlet, cut some holes out and get the wires through. He didn't come prepared with the plastic covers or materials to patch the holes so I had to go the store to buy those after the appointment. He also charged me extra for some materials even though the appointment window lasted less than the 2 hours purchased and this was the only task he did in 1 1/2 hours. He swept up the drywall dust from the floor before leaving. The outlet he installed works fine.
