I priced it with somebody else and that was considered reasonable.

Very nice. Rate it an A. It was probably three to four weeks later because he had a very busy schedule and then he did another job for me after that. He worked on my deck which I originally purchased on Angie's List and then he removed some very large bushes for me and chopped down a fall tree. He did an excellent job. And I might use him for other jobs. The worst part was just getting him scheduled because he was very busy. The best part is he did a good job.

This is the worst contractor that I ever had to deal with. As requested in the special offer, I provided 3 possible service dates for the following week (8/22 ~ 8/26). As of 9/7/16 I heard nothing from them. I then called and spoke with a man. I told them that I had not heard from them regarding the Angie's list purchase that I made and paid for. He replied that he was very busy. I then advised him that I would be going out of town the following week and could I schedule his service inspection visit for a couple of weeks from then (for a materials estimate). He said to wait until I came back home, before calling to schedule his inspection visit. I after I returned from out of town, I called this provider back and asked if he could do his inspection visit of my deck on 9/26/16. He stated yes, but asked me to call him around Noon on 9/26/16 to give me a good time estimate for his visit later in the day. As requested, I called the provider around Noon on 9/26/16 to find out what time he would be arriving later that day. I got his voice mail this time and left my message about when he would be arriving. By 2PM, I had not received a call back, so I then called at 2 PM & 3PM, again leaving voice mails. By 4 PM, I wondered why I had not received his call back. I then decided to call him at 4PM, but this time, I used my cell phone, which was a different phone number then the one that I had been using previously. He immediately answered. I then asked him when he had planned to call me to reschedule. He stated again, that he had been very busy and that tomorrow would be better for him, due to rain being forecast. I made the appointment for 1PM on 9/27/16. He then also asked that I call him at Noon to remind him of his 1PM appointment with me. I called him the next day at Noon, but got his voice mail. I left a reminder message for 1PM. I subsequently called him at 1, 2, 3,4 PM, using both of my phone numbers. No response back from HBKK Construction. I was not surprised. I then called him at 6PM tell him that things were not working out and that I wanted a refund. As of 7PM the following day, I heard nothing from this provider. I then called Angie's list and explained all of the previously mentioned events and asked as to my options for receiving a refund of the $200 I previously paid. I was advised that even though more than 30 days had transpired since my initial purchase, that given the circumstances, that a refund would be initiated. I have given this provider even possible benefit of the doubt, but I simply feel that he ripped me off. Based upon my experience I strongly urge all list members not to use this provider. I gave him well-deserved F's in most areas. I did rate him N/A in areas of his finished product, as he never even came to my house for his initial service visit.

Very very bad!. We have been extremely disappointed with the contractors response. He showed up 2 hours late for his first consultation. Since that time I have received several text messages that said he was working on a quote. I have reached out several times to discuss with him and he never calls back. Last contact was on Sept 2 and he said he was at Dr. appointment and would call me when done. He never called. I texted and told him I thought this was not going to work and asked for a refund. How do we get our money back? We have used Angie's List for several other deals and have been very happy with the services.

I waited several days to hear from the company after I purchased the offer. The owner came out as promised and we discussed what repairs were needed. He did not email the estimate as promised. I emailed and left a voicemail to see if the estimate was ready. He said that he had emailed it. (I did not receive it) He said he would email it again. Then he left a message saying that he was having some type of computer problem. He finally emailed an estimate on 8/23. After thinking over the cost, I emailed him on 8/25 saying that we accepted the offer. I have yet to hear back from him. I am frustrated by the lack of communication and do not feel comfortable doing business with this company.

Went well did everything we ask of them and kept the work area clean

They were very prompt and reasonably priced.  I liked the owner always showed up with an excellent crew.  They completed great work and I would definitely use them in the future.
