We hired Heartland Village General Contracting and Handyman Services to execute a full, top-to-bottom renovation of our bathroom at the beginning of March of 2026. This was a major project involving demolition , new flooring, updated electrical and plumbing to accommodate a new layout of the bathroom.
The company manager/owner, Harvey, was excellent. He provided a detailed project schedule before work began and proactively communicated every step of the way.
The quality of the final product exceeded our expectations. Harvey's attention to detail truly made the difference.

Customer pay more than 6000 dollars and then Handyman request 3000 more. And ask several times more money about awful customer service not even start the build and was asking more money. not the first time that append.

He was loud, abusive, and menacing. He arrives at 7:11 AM for an agreed-upon 8-830 appt. He rang the door bellinceesantly and frightened mt autistic son. He demanded money, and I said I'd have it for him that morning. He tore up the previous plumber's work, fought with my neighbor and the man on the next block loudly, with obscenities, over where he parked his van. He then told me my water heater didn't work (it did and does), and he doesn't fix water heaters, and left with 1400 dollars cash. He refused to give me his license number or insurance number and demanded cash or Zelle (which is cash) only. 50% before he would start, which is not the usual agreement with contractors. He scared me alone in my home with my autistic son. He moved very close to me in the kitchen with a hammer in his hand. I DO NOT BELIEVE ANGIS 175 REVIEWS ARE REAL!!! That is an absurd number for a dirty, inarticulate man in a van with no license or insurance. I will take him to Small Claims court and report him to the Richmond County DA if this is not resolved.

I recommend harvey as we called him at 10 pm for a busted water pipe in my moms house he answer my call and stated dont worry im on my way he then turn off the main water valve told my mom dont worry you be ok he found the broken pipe went to his van got materials needed and fix the problem my mom was back up and running he then clean up the water on the floor dried up the area turn on the water and told my mom all set. His price was very fair givin the time of service thank you harvey

Harvey is dishonest and does not understand how to run a plumbing contractor/handyman business. Doesn't provide a written quote for services, ie parts and labor. Does everything via text messages. Verbal quote of $350 without entering my home. Harvey was shown old corroded and broken parts removed by owner. After seeing the work to be done still no written quote. Preferred cash but check would have to clear before work commenced. In the attached pics he replaced some parts and left. Soon after I texted pics to him of the the leak again. He said he would return Sunday. He came with the intention to prove the parts he replaced Saturday were not leaking instead of seeking to repair the leak whatever the cause. When he saw the sink drain needed replacement I asked if there was going to be an additional charge. He said it wasn't the parts he replaced previously, so yes. I said but you didn't fix the leak. Harvey got defensive towards my wife and I. I asked him to leave.

"We apologize for any inconvenience unfortuanlly the parts that we were told to change was the tail piece and run a snake to clean out drain 350.00 was the price labor and material as we change the parts there were no leaks we both watch it for 1/2 hour and you never mention any other concerns. We stop by to warranty our work which was not the leak you had another leak else where and didnt want to pay extra for that service. (Cant pay for ham and cheese and expect the soda free) text will confirm"

Harvey the owner & his excellent team were professional, punctual & attentative to every detail in building my beautiful handicap TREX brown boards & Grey metal railings ramp to my front door. This fantastic company also closed in my screen house for the rain & possibly snow cold winter months with this beautiful design of Plexiglass. His team also completed odd jobs of installing two door bells, replaced damaged tiles in my kitchen & installed tinting sheets on four kitchen windows which I love. I needed alot of work and repairs done in my house. I called and met with Harvey about what I wanted to be done in my home, and two days later, the work was being conducted on my house. The significant items were that I needed new basement steps, and Harvey and his crew rebuilt new the steps and railings. I needed my kitchen refreshed and desperately needed a new kitchen floor. I had the kitchen, dining room, lower and upper hallways, and living room painted. I had my windows corked from the inside, and the outside and some of the windows were also repaired. Harvey and his men were very professional, polite, and extremely hardworking. They showed up every day and on time and worked extremely hard. Harvey offered ideas and suggestions on my home improvements and repair. I was thrilled by the outcome of their work. I would highly recommend them. I plan to use them in the future.

Harvey and his men arrived promptly, installed an exterior patio door handle, plant brackets, and a wall shelf; hung pictures a mirror, and drapes; Cleared a clogged sink; moved books and an old tv; repaired a table drawer, wooden doors that didn’t fit their frames, and the drop leaf of a wooden table; and tightened door locks and door handles. Harvey and his men worked clean, were friendly and polite, and finished earlier than expected. And Harvey gave me thoughtful, intelligent advice about solving various items on my punch list. A real pleasure to work with, all at a reasonable price.
