I leave my dogs crated for him and when he doesn't show they are just locked up all day, one time he showed up with someone waiting in his car at 830 at night. He does not come once a week like he is supposed to and my neighbors are complaining and he never shows when he says he will. He has excuses every time he says he is not coming.

They were several hours late b/c they had a previous job that requested extra time for the work to be completed. Instead of rescheduling with them, they were late to our appointment.  They came and the job required extra time than the 4 hours I purchased so we paid them extra to finish the job. By the time they said they were done, it was dark so we tipped them for their hard work and were satisfied.  However, the next morning we saw they had missed 2 big rooted plants and were so annoyed that we decided not to bother calling them to come back. Now, 9 months later, we still have to pay someone to finish the job they did not finish. <br />

- Courtney at Heavenly Landscapes was very pleasant in all of our contacts. I originally contacted him via message on Angie's List on 6/8 when I purchased the 4 hours of landscaping for $99 deal. I listed some possible dates in June. He responded on 6/10 and asked me to call to schedule a date. I finally contacted him on 7/29 (that delay was MY fault) with a detailed description of what I needed done: <br /> - front flower bed: remove holly bushes; cover uncovered area with cloth and rocks <br /> - backyard: remove overgrown rose bushes; figure out if any can be salvaged and potted; determine need for sod or seed where roses were removed <br /> - back porch: remove weeds and grass that has grown up between pavers; treat with weed killer to prevent them returning <br /> If there is time: <br /> - side yard: trim 3 crepe myrtles (each approx. 10 feet tall) <br /> - front yard: trim at least one large lower limb off Bradford pear tree <br /> We continued to play phone tag through August, and finally in Sept I got a message that his voicemail box was full - so I sent him a message through Angie's List again. We spoke on the phone shortly thereafter and scheduled work for Wednesday Oct 21st. They did not come that day, and on the following Monday I called Courtney. He said the rain had put them behind and he would try to come to my house by Thursday of that week. Two men came on Friday Oct 30th. My mother-in-law happened to be visiting that day and was at the house. According to her, they arrived at  3:45 or 4 pm, and I was there when they left at 5:20 pm. They mowed the front and back lawns, which I didn't want, and they trimmed the pear tree and crepe myrtles. <br /> I will not use this provider again because: <br /> - It would seem that we got about 3 hours for our $99 (2 guys for about 1.5 hrs each), not 4. <br /> - They did not perform the work in my order of priority - trimming the trees was on the bottom of my list (and mowing wasn't on it at all), but that's what got done. <br /> - Courtney said they were there for a little over 2 hours (2 guys for 2 hours = 4 hours), but that part of that time they spent chasing my dogs that got out. I had told Courtney there were dogs in the backyard. I left the dogs inside the house two different days when I expected Courtney's crew, but they didn't come those days. I can't leave them in every day - my house is a shambles when I come home. So his guys let my dogs out and then essentially charged me for the time they spent chasing them. <br />

Everything went fine. It was not one of the best subcontractors we have ever had, but he did fine. We paid four hours’ work for $100, and what we asked him to do, he could not do it in four hours. So, he charged us $250 to finish up the job. We paid a total of $350. We would hire them again, but we would need to be more specific with what the job entails, be very detailed with it.

Courtney is a great guy who really wants to do the job well. When there was a miscommunication with the schedule, he was quick to fix it. I asked him to please trim the hedges when he could--2 or 3 weeks since it was a really overgrown job--he got them nicely done that week. This is one of those times when you pay a few bucks more for proper customer service from a local business. (I'm in Mansfield.)

It was ok.  They didn't have the tools they needed so i let them borrow my wheelbarrow and gloves so they could work more effectively and save their hands. <br />

It went great!  My backyard looked like a rain forest. LOL. It was over run with vine and bushes and needed some major help.  We purchased an Angie's List Deal for 4 man hours for $99.  It was the best $99 we have spent. The guys showed up and went right to work. These were two of the hardest working guys I have met and when we use this company again I will ask for them.  Hard working, honest and fair you really can't ask for more then that. <br />
