Kevin and crew are very easy to work with. I am extremely happy with their job. The response is very fast. Kevin is great at communicating via email with the customers. <br /> They refinished all my hardwood floor and reinstalled a section in the kitchen. The estimation was the lowest. They are very flexible with time also. They come early at 9 and work till late to make sure the project finishes in time. They work on weekends, too. After the job is finished, they cleaned up and came back for touch up upon my request. <br /> I highly recommend them to anybody who's looking for flooring job. Thanks Kevin and I will definitely work with you again if I needed my floor to be refinished in the future. <br />

Their estimate was the lowest. They came very quickly. They agreed to work on weekends because we were renting the house and that needed to be done quickly. They were very professional and accommodating. They were very good.

1. The refinishing job was sloppy. They did a light screening of the original floors to prep the floor for varnish. The old stains/grime still shows. Sharp jagged edges of hardened varnished left near corners, doorway jams.2. They varnished over dust/cob webs and paint. Floors look terrible.3. New hardwood had too many short boards lined up too close together. Overall, quality is not there. <br />

His crew was all very friendly and polite and professional. They were careful and thoughtful around my son with their chemicals and equipment. Kevin was the project manager for my job and I had him order oak air vents and cold air returns which had to be customized. He gave me a quote on how how much they would be and I was shocked by the sticker price; however, after researching, his price actually ended up being cheaper than others I had found. We understood each other very well and he kept his word. He answered all of my questions and was always available on his cell phone. The end result was absolutely beautiful.

We had 5 detailed bids from family references and Angie's list top picks. Kevin NGO stood out from the beginning. Punctual. Drove me to show other jobs he had in progress. Was only one confident enough to repair our kitchen floor buried under 30 year old linoleum and tar. Price significantly below the rest and he offered significantly more. We chose him over family references. <br /> <br /> He started work Thanksgiving. All Day. Yeah thats right, while we were eating turkey this guy was working all day for us. We were behind a day on schedule on other projects and he came in to keep our project time line on track. What was amazing is that he didn't flinch and volunteered to do this. <br /> <br /> Tore up the carpet tacks and all the carpets. we had areas that needed patching. One was a literal hole in the floor. you could put your leg in it and kick someones head in the basement. There was oil paint, splatter, linoleum, loose boards, loose stairs, big gaps, rotting thesholds. pretty much a mess. <br /> <br /> Patches are indistinguishable from originals from 1919. He patched with matching original woods. His crew drove in every nail, smoothed and matched every panel, filled every crack. It was a thing to behold. His crew works like a well oiled machine. <br /> <br /> Floors are absolutely amazing, he tranformed the house, they look original. I am still amazed when I look at them. <br /> <br /> Despite difficulties and small surprises he did not charge extra. <br /> <br /> We chose the natural Swedish coat. We opted not to stain after hearing stain does not always take evenly to fir. Swedish coat is the only way to go for its durability and no maintenance. Had one vendor that did not know ho to do Swedish finish and didn't let him get past our foyer. <br /> <br /> You would be insane not to hire Kevin. <br /> <br /> I am a cynical perfectionist and Kevin amazed me <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />

Excellent work from start to finish. Great communication, quick bid and easy to schedule and align times to our needs. The quality of the work was beyond what we expected and the care and attention to detail is apparent. This was a tough job and everything they said they would do, they did with the best care and quality to detail. We were very impressed with their work, their price and their communication and assurance that we were happy with the final result. <br /> <br /> We would highly recommend Henry's Floor Service to anyone that had a need to get their hardwoods worked on. They are exceptional on all levels and it is a privilege to recommend them.

It went very well. I called Kevin (based on a friend's recommendation) and set up and appointment for a quote. Kevin was very punctual and gave me a clear quote with all the important options spelled out. He then went out of his way to meet my move-in schedule and get his crew in to do the work. They were very professional and courteous and quick. The floors look great now!

I called Kevin and he was able to come out the following day for an estimate. After 3 other companies failed to show up for estimate appointments I gave him the job. He started 4 days later on a Friday and was finished on Monday. The floors are beautiful!! Don't let the language barrier get in the way: Kevin provided top notch, quality service. He was professional, quick, and reasonably priced. I'd be very happy to do business with him again.

Magic! Mr. Kevin and his team are amazing. The transition is breathtaking. And, the new kitchen floor matches exactly. Mr. Kevin came to the estimate appointment on time and was very informative. Left a written and signed estimate before departing. Although English is not Mr. Kevin's native language, he speaks very well. Be ready for dust - and that has nothing to do with Mr. Kevin's team!! This is just a dusty process and although the house was emptied of furniture and the flooring team masked off the adjoining spaces and closets...dust is just sneaky. Mr. Kevin and team came in and began the sanding process and prepared the kitchen floor by cutting out the old flooring and sub-floor, and then laying the new oak planks. The wood needs to acclimate to the house for seven days, which is great because it allowed me to mark any boards that I felt looked funny. Mr. Kevin left me tape to mark the boards. Seven days later Mr. Kevin and his team returned. At this point my dog and I had to be out of the house (due to the fumes that come from the finish), so a key was left in a lock box for Mr. Kevin. At this point they tightened up and nailed the new flooring; put filler in the old floor where needed; sanded; and put down the Swedish finish. If you want your floors shiny - tell them. Mine are matte. Three coats of finish total. Now here is the BIG thumbs up for Mr. Kevin!! The carpenter installing the new kitchen called me specifically to tell me how GREAT Mr. Kevin is, because without asking he suggested that he not put the third coat of finish on the kitchen floor until all the cabinets and appliances are in place. He will return at that time to make sure the floor has not been scraped or scratched...and THEN put on the third coat of finish. THAT is a real pro and the other workman recognized it, too!! Highly recommend this company!!

Everything was great! They came out and stuck to the estimate given. They were prompt. It was an A+ job done by Kevin. When I went through for the final inspection, Kevin was very willing to make any changes to make the flooring and trim look perfect before he left. I really appreciated the effort.

We had to move all the furniture out of these rooms, which was a inconvenience. Our floors were unevenly stained, they got the staining solution on my kitchen cabinets. The floors are even warped. When they came back to replace them, the floors still look terrible.

They called me right away and were ready to do the project. I asked them to bring me a sample of the white oak. The original estimate was using a lower grade wood. I decided to use 'Select' since it would look better and didn't cost that much more. I wanted to paint the rooms first so they were not able to do the work as quickly as they would have liked to. They took up existing carpet and disposed of it. Plastic was put up on doorways to keep dust from going into other rooms. They prepared the stairs by sanding it. They had the wood brought in , nailed it down and sanded it. Later the finish was put down. . We had to be out of the house for 3 days when they put the finish down because the Swedish finish is toxic to breath at first. I left the house on Sunday morning and returned Tuesday night. The floors were beautiful. They matched the finish on the new floor with the finish of the floor I already have. I did not like the baseboard. I should have asked to see it before it was decided on. In hindsight I would have left it for someone else to do. Later I called them back to replace the doors that had been removed. They would not close properly because the floor had been raised the thickness of the wood. They cut the bottom of the doors off. Before refinishing the living room they moved some of the furniture out. We communicated by email at first but then later the emails were not responded to. We did talk by phone several times. Communication about exactly when the work was to be done could have been better.

The experience was excellent. I called on Saturday, Kevin came by on Sunday to estimate (it was less than we expected!) and they performed the work starting on Tuesday. They did an excellent job matching the colors and the floors look great!

Kevin gave us a bid for the work, arrived on scheduled date, and completed the project on time and on budget. He does quality work and we are quite satisfied with the end product. He is professional in his approach and is willing to listen to your concerns. As noted in previous reports he has a heavy accent but email works well.

Responsive and very professional. Arrived on time, worked nonstop. Kevin is dedicated to pleasing his clients and will do whatever it takes to give you the result you want. In addition, he's an all-around nice, friendly person.

Kevin was on time and gave me a competitive quote. The crew showed up all three days on time. They did a good job of protecting my house and kept everything very clean. The floors look wonderful and I would use them again without hesitation.

I called two people and Henry's was able to finish the floor in time before my new furniture was delivered. They came out that same day that I called and they started work the next day. He was very helpful informing me about the different finishes I could put on the floor and everything else that went into it. He gave a lot of great suggestions. He had his brother do the work and it was great. They came on time, and the work took 3 days. I also had him do a bid for my two bedrooms.

Kevin and his team did a great job. They were punctual, competent, professional and polite through the whole process. Kevin's price was the best, too. They were very responsive to our needs, and made good suggestions on things we had not considered. They did a great job. Even helped move some furniture around when we needed some more muscle.

It was a positive experience starting with Kevin's estimate to returning home when the floors were finished. He was out of town when the floors were actually done- his brother took over. He was very pleasant, prompt and efficient. There was virtually no dust clean up to be done when they left. There was also no strong smell.

Kevin was great! He was quick to come over and give us an estimate. We didn't get any other estimates, because we had a tight timeline. We were going to be gone between Christmas and New Year's, and needed someone to do the work while we were gone. Kevin had such ecstatic reviews from Angie's List that we thought we would go with him if his price seemed reasonable (which it was) and if he could do the work. One week before Christmas, he and his crew came over and removed the old carpet. There was a slight surprise, which was plywood under the carpet which need to be removed. Kevin said it would take some unplanned work to remove this and asked me if he could bill me for the extra time. This was $150 extra and I agreed that this was fine. While they had the floors up, I asked them to screw down the subfloors (they were nailed before, and I always like to remove possibilities for squeaking). They did this with no problem. We were gone while they did the staining and sanding, and when we came back, we were a little disappointed that the finish was kind of flat (matte, rather than somewhat glossy). We talked to Kevin about this, and identified a few spots that needed additional work. Kevin said he wanted us to be super-happy, and agreed to come back and put a final coat on the floor a few weeks later. They did this, and the floor looks just great. We're just really, really happy with our experience with Kevin. He's totally committed to his customers being happy, shows up as advertised and is a real professional.

Kevin did the work exactly as he described, without any glitches. I booked a few weeks in advance because I wanted a specific weekend. He's very experienced and recommended matte finish for our floor. We are very happy with the result.
